Chapter 1: Meeting Ariel
when I woke up I noticed there was water all around me. I was laying in a bed. I gasped. I quickly stood up but I did not stand up. I was swimming. but how? and how was I breathing underwater? I decided to look around. as I was looking around this place is amazing.
as I kept swimming I saw a king on his throne. a girl with red hair and...a mermaid tail was next to the king. she looked young. The king also had a Mermaid tail. "Oh good your awake" The king said. "I am king Triton and this is my daughter Ariel"
He said. "Hi sir, I am Lana. where am I?" I said confused. "You are in the underwater kingdom Atlantica. Ariel, please show Lana around" King Triton said. "Okay daddy" Ariel said. Ariel swam over to me. "Come Lana, let me show you" Ariel said with a smile.
"Thanks but one question, how am I breathing, and how am I talking and swimming?!" I said with shock. "Isn't it obvious? Your a mermaid" Ariel said. "I'm a what now?" I said.
"Mermaid. it's our people here" King Triton said. I looked at my feet. but I didn't have feet. I had a pink mermaid tail. my hair was brighter and it was yellow and I had,
only a blue bra that was for my clothing. I panicked started freaking out. "Ahh! no, someone help me I've been kidnapped and turned into a mermaid!" I scream. I begain,
quickly swimming away until I hit a wall. "Ow" I said. Ariel went over to me and helped me up. "calm down Lana, we didn't kidnap you. we saved you" Ariel said.
"saved me?" I said. "You were in a shipwreck and my daughter found you and brought you here so we can heal you. we turned you into a mermaid so you can breathe and,
talk and swim" King Triton said. "someone pinch me and tell me I'm dreaming" I said. I felt a pinch but it wasn't a regular one. it was more like a sting. "Ow!" I said.
I looked and saw a crab. "That's Sebastion my loyal advisor" King Triton said. "Oh, hi" I said. I saw a fish with yellow and blue striped. "And I'm Flounder" The fish said.
"Hi" I said. "Come on Lana, let's go explorer" Ariel said. "Don't go out from Atlantica and do not go out from the surface. and be back before the concert!" King Triton said.
"Okay, daddy" Ariel said. Ariel, Flounder, and I swam away. we kept swimming and swimming. I kept running into things because I wasn't used to this yet. we kept swimming until we came across a shipwreck. "Umm Ariel are you sure we're supposed to be here?" I said.
"Don't worry it's safe" Ariel said. "Ariel, Lana wait for me" Flounder said. Ariel sighed. "Flounder, hurry up" Ariel said motioning him to come here. "You know I can't swim that fast" Flounder said as he caught up to us.
"There it is" Ariel said. she pointed to the shipwreck as we were hiding behind a pole. "Isn't it fantastic?" Ariel said. "Yeah sure. it's great, now lets get out of here" Flounder said. "Yeah, let's go before we get in trouble" I said. Flounder and I were gonna swim away when,
Ariel pulled us back. "Oh you two aren't getting cold fin's now are you?" Ariel said. "No, its just...damp down there that's all" Flounder said. Ariel and Flounder were swimming,
to the shipwrek. "Ariel!" I shouted. I wasn't moving. Ariel looked at me. "Come on" Ariel said. "Fine" I said. I swam with Ariel. Ariel and I were looking inside a broken,
window. "Alright, we're going inside" Ariel said. "You can just stay here and watch for sharks" I said. "Okay" Flounder said. Ariel and I swam into the ship. "What?!
Sharks?! Ariel, Lana!" Flounder shouted. he swam into the window but got stuck. "Ariel...I can't...I mean..." Flounder said. "Oh Flounder" Ariel said as she helped him,
get unstuck. "Do you guys think there are really sharks down here?" Flounder said. "Flounder don't be such a guppy" Ariel said. "I'm not a guppy" Flounder said as he,
got unstuck. Flounder got spooked and ran into me and Ariel. "Are you okay?" Ariel said. Flounder was trembling in fear. "Shh" Ariel said. we all swam up. Ariel looked,
ahead and saw something shining. "Oh my gosh, oh my gosh!" Ariel said excitedly. Ariel and I quickly swam over to the shining object which was a fork. "Have you,
ever seen something so wonderful in your entire life?" Ariel said. "Wow cool, but what is that?" Flounder said. "I don't know but I bet Scuttle will know" Ariel said.
"It is a fork" I said. "It's what we use to eat from" I said. Ariel put the fork in her bag. I saw something moving in the distance, so did Flounder. "What was that?" Flounder said. Ariel and I swam to find more objects. Ariel found a pipe. "I wonder what this one is?" Ariel said.
Ariel put it in her bag. "Ariel, Lana!" Flounder said. "Flounder, will you relax?" Ariel said. "Nothing is going to happen" I said. Flounder then screamed. "Flounder!" I cried. "It's a shark, were gonna die!" Flounder screamed as he was swimming away.
Ariel and I caught Flounder. The shark cornered us and we quickly swam away. the shark kept chasing and chasing us. we kept swimming away until we were out of the ship but the shark kept chasing us. "Go, run, run!" I cried. we kept swimming until we were in the open waters.
the shark kept swimming until he got stuck in a hoop. "Ya big bully!" Flounder said. he hit him with his Finn and spat at him. "Yeah!" I said and spat at him as well. we swam,
up to the surface. "Flounder you really are a guppy" Ariel said. "I'm not" Flounder said. when we got up to the surface we met a bird named Scuttle. "Ariel how ya doin' kid?
Woah what a swim. say who's that you got there?" Scuttle said. "I'm Lana" I said. "Nice to meet you" Scuttle said. "Scuttle, look what we found!" Ariel said handing him the,
bag. "Yeah, we were in the sunken ship. it was creepy" Flounder said. "Human stuff huh? hey let me see" Scuttle said. he dove down and hit the sand. Scuttle then dug,
out of the bag and grabbed the fork. he inspected it. "What? What is it?" Ariel said. "It's a dinglehopper. Humans use these little babies to straighten their hair out.
"See? Just a little twirl here and yank there and volee..." Scuttle said as he attempted to comb his feathers. I sighed. "Guys it's a fork. we use them to eat our food..."
I said. "Ya got an aethelestecly-pleasing configuration of hair that humans go nuts over" Scuttle said. "A digglehopper" Ariel said. "What about that one?" Flounder said,
as he pointed at the pipe. Scuttle picked up the pipe. "Ah, This I haven't seen in years. this is wonderful! A banded bulbous, snarff blat" Scuttle said. Scuttle was giving us an education on it. "So they invested this snarfblat to make fine music. allow me" Scuttle said.
Ariel gasped. "Music! oh the concert!" Ariel cried. "Oh no!" I said. Ariel packed her things in her bag. we missed the concert! Ariel was supposed to perform in it and I was supposed to watch it with the king. damn it how could I be so stupid.
"Oh my gosh, my father's gonna kill me!" Ariel said. "Bye, thank you!" Ariel said as she left. I swam away with her.
what we didn't know was we were being watched.
