Picking up where Season 3 left off, Ferrel and his men infiltrate a ship to see a dying Calumon and finding themselves in a trouble thanks to the spider robots as well as a crash-landed ship. Season 4 opens inside the submarine. Several men inspect a pressure cooker. One man is speaking Japanese and the other is speaking English. They see an empty liquid. He twists the knob and opens an empty jar. A man uses a flashlight to see a spider robot. The spider robot kills a man by attaching the claws on the face like a face hugger. Meanwhile, Jack is being mended by Dr. Laura.
"Where are the others?" asked Jack.
"They are still in the ship." replied Dr. Laura.
Jack hears an alarm. It was the billboard being activated.
"Sorry I'm late." said Koji.
It was Ferrel and his men as well as Takuya and Koji.
"What happened to Calumon?" asked Jack.
"He's in a coma. However, we took care of the ship." said Ferrel.
"That ship did a lot of damage thanks to the spider robots." said Gabumon.
At the lab, Miss May looks at the dead spider robot. She receives a phone call from Hammond. She goes to the corridor and sends Ferrel to the briefing room. From there, they are presented with several documents including an evidence of the submarine explosion caused by spider robots.
"Look, the submarine was blown up into smithereens by spider robots, not purgers." said the man.
"That's the same robots that we defeated at Calumon's ship." said Koji.
"Cool." said Gabumon.
"Same here." said Agumon.
"Listen, we must defeat the spider robots." said the man.
"How?" asked Shoutmon.
"By blowing up the ship." replied Hammond.
"Good. But it'll regenerate immediately after defeating these robotic creatures." said Shoutmon.
"Not without Meicoomon." said Ferrel.
"Unauthorized travelling alert." said the technician.
"Gotta go." said Hammond.
The billboard is activated. Calumon appears in the embarkation. The controls shut down. Ferrel summons Guilmon, Terriermon and Renamon to greet Calumon, who woke up from a coma. The billboard shuts down and reboots the system.
"We're back online sir." said the technician.
"Good. Go on." said Hammond.
"Calumon, it's an honor to see you." said Renamon.
"I'm here to warn you about the spider robots." said Calumon. "The spider robots will regenerate quickly than normal enemies."
"Even with guns and blasts of energy?" asked Terriermon.
"Yes." said Calumon.
"We need SG1 down here, Calumon." said Hammond.
"We must leave immediately." said Calumon before going inside the billboard.
Miss May and Calumon are the first ones to enter the billboard. Ferrel and the men go next. At the docks, they set up a command center that will help put an end of the spider robots. From there, Ferrel summons Meicoomon and Impmon for the job. Meanwhile, Miss May and Calumon enter the ship inside the digital world. They are surrounded by several in-training Digimon, including Tanemon and Koromon.
"The O'neill is a ship that has a clear technological power." said Calumon.
"When will it be ready?" asked Miss May.
"Soon." said Calumon. "Listen, I'm going to need your help defeating the creatures."
"How? By digivolving Palmon to kiss them goodbye?" asked Miss May.
At the submarine, Ferrel, Takuya, Koji, Sam, Pete and Alex go inside to find any trace. Jack is checking up on the men. They find bloodstains and a dead body.
"We have come to the right place." said Shoutmon. "Be careful guys."
As the investigation continues, they find a survivor as well as spider robots. The robots are not purple. They are white.
"Moving on." said Koji.
At the door, they found a dead body being decomposed by spider robots.
"Don't just stand there, shoot!" cried Shotumon.
Alex fires several bullets at the spider robots. It did not work, depsite the fact they were defeated.
"Meicoomon, Impmon, Ferrel, Alex and the others need help." said Takuya.
Ferrel summons Meicoomon and Impmon and perform a Bada Tornado, a unison attack that will work on spider robots. After performing an attack, the spider robots regenerate.
"Close the door!" cried Impmon.
Meicoomon and Impmon along with Ferrel and his men escape from the area. The man who was accompanying the men was killed by a spider robot.
At the ship, Miss May and Calumon are watching a video about a spider robot.
"I'm aware." said Calumon.
"How am I supposed to defeat a spider robot even after using digivolutions, firearms and explosives?" asked Miss May.
"I do not know." said Calumon.
"Stop talking like a machine and answer the question." said Miss May.
"I already told you, I do not know." said Calumon.
Calumon and Miss May look at the spider robot. At the command center, Alex is being treated.
"We cannot go back down there." said Meicoomon. "We have to blow up the ship. It's no use defeating it now."
"Mei, don't think negative thoughts." said Impmon.
Dr. Laura, who joins the Anti-Spider Robot Squad, takes out the shard.
"You brought back a souvenir." said Dr. Laura.
At the ship, Miss May and Calumon eat a burger that appear on the table.
"Yuck." said Miss May, trying out a burger only to discover that it is mush.
The screen pops up. They see a ship being blown up. At the command center, Jack and the men are continuing the strategy on how to defeat the spider robots.
"Listen, the purple robots are hostiles while the white ones are friendly." said Gabumon.
"Good." said Koji.
They see a queen of the spider robots, the source for the regeneration.
"There it is." said Alex.
"That must be the queen." said Shoutmon.
"We might as well get out of the command center and hop to it." said Ferrel.
At the ship, they see several red ships.
"Well, your ship is faster that the other ones, why don't you go faster?" asked Miss May.
"My ship is slower like 160 miles per hour." said Calumon.
"The bottom line is that the red ships have less technology than blue ships." said Miss May.
Back at the submarine, Ferrel and his men are going back to the same area to prevent further casualties.
"Be careful, guys." said Takuya.
Back at the ship, Calumon and Miss May are conversing and figure out how to increase the ship's speed. Inside the submarine, Koji and Gabumon find a dead body.
"Careful, the spider robots are out there." said Koji.
The spider robots appear. At the ship, Miss May and Calumon continue to find the solution. Calumon disappears. At the submarine, Takuya and Agumon use a grenade and Pepper Breath respectively to defeat the big spider robot. Despite it being blown up, the robots regenerate.
"Run, run!" cried Takuya.
"Summon Veemon and then armor digivolve to Flamedramon." said Agumon.
Sam summons Veemon and then armor digivolves to Flamedramon to defeat a spider robot. Flamedramon attacks the spider robots to no avail.
"It's not working!" cried Flamedramon.
At the ship, Calumon appears.
"The ship has been launched." said Calumon.
"Great. That will aid in defeating these pesky spiders." said Miss May.
At the submarine, the spider robots regenerate one by one.
"The ship is going to blow up if we keep fighting these bugs like this!" cried Koji.
Ferrel and his men disappear from the submarine, transporting them to the ship by Calumon.
"Thanks for your help." said Koji.
Flamedramon de-digivolves back to Veemon. He then greets Calumon.
"You're OK." said Sam.
"They are grateful. We will fight the Goa'uld." said Calumon. "Miss May's strategy worked this time."
"Until we meet again." said Ferrel.
Ferrel and his men disappear. The spider robots are gone thanks to the submarine explosion. They are never seen again. They say goodbye to Takuya, Koji, Agumon and Gabumon.
