Red Grave City.

It was a beautiful day in Redgrave City. Sun was shining, birds were chirping and the citizens was going on about their business. But that was about to change in a few moments.

Dante, a White Haired man in a red leather dust with black shirt, black pants and shoes (Dante: The Legendary Devil Hunter) was munching a slice of leftover pizza while Vergil, his twin brother who sported a dark blue coat along with blue vest, dark pants and black boots (Vergil: The Alpha and Omega) was reading a copy of Proverbs of Hell inside the office of Devil May Cry, a PI agency that investigates the paranormal activity. Trish in a black leather corset, leather pants and black heeled boots. (Trish: The Bewitching Devil) was rocking her hips to a song from the jukebox. Nero was in San Francisco helping the Titans with a case that required his speciality. All in all, it was a slow day at the office.

"Calling all Justice Leaguers. Calling all Justice Leaguers. We have a Omega level Threat."

Dante sighed as he finished eating up the slice upon hearing the call. So much for a quiet day. Vergil tucked the book inside his coat and Trish turned the jukebox off before they were being transported by the Watchtower.

Paris.

Flash (The Flash: The Fastest Man Alive) was doing whirlwinds with his arms to hoist the parademons up in the air allowing Giganta to squash them with her hands in the City of Love.

John Stewart, a member of the Green Lantern Corps (John Stewart: Green Lantern) was shooting beams from his rings taking out the Parademons that were airborne doing his best he can to help the civilians that were caught in the crossfire to escape to safety.

A parademon that they didn't count on was going to use its claws on the Scarlet speedster when it was shot in the chest by Trish who had shown up. Hearing the gunshot, he turned and saw his devilish girlfriend wielding her dual guns.

"Don't they ever learn?"

Flash gave her a goofy smile which she returned with a smirk. "Hey, Babe!"

Trish turned around and let loose on Darkseid's minions, shooting the parademons left and right with keen precision while Flash leaned back to her. "What's the situation here?"

"Remember Darkseid?" Flash said, Trish nodded, vaguely recalling the late New God. "He's back and he's trying to destroy the world."

Trish scoffed, back flipping over a Parademon before kicking him in the back sending him through a building. Why doesn't it surprise her? "Story of our lives. So, got any plans for Tonight?"

"Oh i was going to chill out and watch some horror movies. Why?"

"I was think we could see them together with some takeout from Big Belly's, if you're up to it." Trish suggested.

"Trish, that's like the greatest Weekend plan ever!" Flash exclaimed. Trish smirked while Green Lantern watched the interaction in amusement. How did the Hotshot get so lucky?

Washington DC

Shayera Hol (Shayera Hol: Thangarian Exile) was smashing Parademons in the air with her mace, turning them while the Atomic Skull and Commander Steel were fighting the ground forces when the world around them slowed down as if time stood still. The three were perplexed by what was occurring.

Snikt! Slash! Slash! Slash!

Vergil suddenly appeared on one knee in a blue mist, placing the katana back into his sheath slowly whilst the Parademons exploded into chunks. He stood up with a calm look on his face.

"My sincerest apology for my late arrival." Vergil said.

The Thangarian Exile shook her head with a smile. The timing couldn't be more perfect. "Not at all, Vergil. You're just in time."

"That was awesome!" Atomic Skull exclaimed in joy.

"Watchtower to Justice League. Your primary targets are those drills. Destroy them at all costs!" Mr Terrific ordered.

The ex Thangarian soldier knew what they had to do. "You heard the man! Rock and Roll!" Hawkgirl said as they headed towards the large drill near the Capitol Hill. Hawkgirl quickly examined the machinery. "Looks like the main power coupling. Cover Vergil's backside!"

The Atomic Skull, Commander Steel and Hawkgirl went to keep the Apokolipitan forces occupied while Vergil inhaled deeply while drawing his trusted Yamato of the sheath slightly and before they knew it, he cut through the large machine drill like a hot knife through butter. he walked away, the Yamato back in the sheath as the drill exploded, going out in a blaze of fire, leaving nothing but a crater.

Great Wall of China

Dante was swerving left and right on his motorcycle like Devil Arm on the Great Wall in China, cutting through Parademons like butter. He was having the time of his life while Wonder Woman, (Wonder Woman: Princess of the Amazons) was blocking the laser beams with her bracelets from a battle ship. He flipped the bike over, having a grip on both handle before he split the devil into twin buzzsaws, landing perfectly as he began tearing the Parademons apart. He leaped high in the air pivoting like a professional ballerina, twirling his dual buzzsaw to turn Darkseid's minions into Swiss cheese.

Once he was done, He took a moment to admire his handiwork. "How's that for Road Rash?" Dante chuckled to himself. He turned to the Amazonian Royalty. "Hey Princess. Need a hand?"

"I wouldn't mind." Wonder Woman replied. He launched himself through the air summoning his signature Devil Sword in his hand and swiped it through the Battleship, cutting it in two before it blew up into pieces.

He landed back on the ground while Wonder Woman descended with him. The animalistic roars of parademons was heard behind them and they turned to see a small group of Darkseid's Minions. "Shall we, your highness?" Dante said.

"After you." Wonder Woman replied as they charged towards the group.

Paris.

Trish was watching her boyfriend work as Flash was running circles around the big drill, creating a trench allowing Green Lantern to construct a catapult, launching the drill up into the sky. It then collided into a warship, making a huge explosion.

"Not even close." Trish said as the Scarlet Speedster appeared next to her watching the fireworks.

"Nope. Good effort though." Flash commented lightheartedly.

"A little to the left, little to the right. And stop." Dante was directing traffic as Wonder Woman was holding a Battle Ship with her arms while Star Sapphire was using her power ring to hold another towards the Large Drill outside the wall. The Shining Knight along with J'onn J'onzz who had joined in after taking a leave of absence were keeping the Parademons off their backs (J'onn J'onzz: The Martian Manhunter).

"Perfect. Now ladies, if you can do the honors."

They threw the ships towards the drill, destroying it. Dante let out a sigh of content at the destruction. "I love it when a plan comes together."

4 Hours Later.

Metropolis.

Metrotower

They Did it. They had not only destroyed the drills but defeated Darkseid thanks to Lex Luthor of all people. How, they don't know? But they know this: when the commander is defeated, the army surrenders soon after. Justice League along with the Supervillains were watching the news on the big monitor.

"Oh brother. Darkseid came back from the dead and he still lost." Dante mused, placing the sword on his shoulder nonchalantly. Vergil hummed in agreement.

"It's rather fitting that He was destroyed by the very thing he sought to gain."

Trish who had her chin placed on Flash's shoulder whispered into his ear. "So, Movie night still on, Babe?" She asked seductively, making the Speedster blush slightly.

"Y-Yeah." Flash stammered. Trish chuckled before turning to the Sparda twins.

"Dante. I saw A Hellgate on our way back to Metropolis. Looks like the Demons are trying to pick up the scrap."

Dante sighed. Of course. "Hey, brother, still got some energy left in ya?"

"I can still fight." Vergil replied. "If the demons are gonna appear in the wake of Darkseid's invasion, It is a grave error of judgement on their part."

"Now that's the smartest thing I heard you say." Dante replied following his twin brother to the exit.

"Wait, where are you going?" Superman asked him (Superman: Man of Steel.) Vergil answered the question for Dante.

"We need to push the demons back into the underworld and then I'll destroy the portal with the Yamato."

"Need help?" Batman inquired (Batman: The Dark Knight). Dante stopped, glancing at the Gotham Vigilante.

"We'll be fine, Bats. Demons is our specialty." Dante reassured him.

"Make haste, Dante." Vergil called out to him from the doorway.

"Yeah, I know." Dante said as he joined his brother.

Booster Gold, who were watching the whole thing was bemused of why they didn't want the help. "Hey, wait a minute." He tried to walk up to them but with their backs turned The Sons of Sparda back punched the arrogant superhero, knocking him out until next Tuesday as he was sent across the floor to the control panel.

Shaking his head, Vergil glanced at Shayera. He pulled out his book and threw it to the Thangarian who caught it and examined it. "Hold onto that for me when I return." And with that, the Sparda twins exited the Metro Tower.

Metropolis.

Shayera was reading the Proverbs of Hell by William Blake given to her by Vergil on a top of the building near the main Square along with the original Six and Trish watching. They had given the supervillains a five minute head start, so it was back to business as usual. She had to admit, it wasn't anything she'd read before.

"The roaring of lions, the howling of wolves, the raging ofthe stormy sea, and the destructive sword, are portions of eternity too great for the eye of man." She read quietly before closing the book watching the Sparda Brothers sparring after having taken care of the Hell gate and demons alike. When she asked Vergil about why they're constantly sparring with each other, he told her that it's the only good memory they ever had since their adolescents which she found it endearing.

"10 bucks on Dante." Flash made a bet of who was going to win.

"20 on Vergil." Trish replied.

Vergil blocked Dante's attack with the Yamato, the force of the swipe pushed him back a few feet away.

"Score one for Dante! I'm up one." Dante boasted wholeheartedly. Vergil stared at him puzzled.

"Where did you learn to count!? We're even!" Vergil retorted. Dante let out a amused laugh. Of course he would point that out as the brothers took a moment to recuperate.

"You know... I got a feeling this is never gonna end." Dante said holding his sore ribs.

Vergil shrugged. "Maybe. But we got plenty of time."

The brothers got back up and resumed their fighting stances. Vergil holding the Yamato like a baseball bat whilst Dante Held the Devil Sword with one hand. The Sons of Sparda let out a battle cries before charging towards each other, swords clashing time after time before engaging in a battle of wills, neither men were willing to submit. But then the leftover Parademons that didn't head back to Apokolips appeared, interrupting the sparring session. So they fought the remaining forces of Apokolips. During the fight the Sparda brothers were back to back.
"Don't you dare say it!" Vergil warned knowingly, swiping the Yamato while Dante smirked as he drew out Ebony and Ivory.

"Jackpot!" Dante exclaimed, shooting two parademons in the head with pinpoint precision. Dante frowned when Vergil didn't join him in saying their catchphrase. "Why do gotta ya leave me hanging? You used to love saying that."

"I have no recollection." Vergil said, leaping up in air throwing the Yamato like a boomerang, slashing through four parademons as he was spinning himself around before landing on the ground as the Yamato came back to him. Dante rolled his eyes in half amusement, half annoyance.

"Well lemme jog your memory. A little Vergil... crying in the corner because mommy got mad?" Dante recalled, disposing his batch of parademons with relative ease. Vergil scoffed. Two can play the game.

"I seem to recall you crying every time our father raised his voice." Vergil retorted. Dante laughed shaking his head. He knew he was gonna say that.

"How would they feel if they saw us now?" Dante wondered of how their late parents would react to the directions their respective lives had taken since they died.

"What does it matter? We're still here, aren't we?" Vergil reminded. Dante thought about it before conceding to the point.

"Yeah. You're probably right."

The Sparda twins converted into their demonic forms as they continued to take out the remaining Apokolips forces while Justice League looked on. They may fight, stab and argue with each other a lot but hey. What do you expect from the sons of Sparda? They wouldn't have it any other way.
