Dancing Flames In The Cinders
Summary
Cinderace can sense that something isn't right with her trainer as of late, even though she knows a small bit about the human illness and medicine, Cinderace doesn't know enough to help Gloria in her time of need. But there might be someone who can, the former champion of the Galar region, Leon, and his very energetic younger brother, Hop.
Prologue
My heart pounds in my chest. My breathing is heavy. My paws are moving quicker than a lightning bolt. But my destination still felt so far away.
My trainer was safely in my aems as I ran into the familiar town of Gloria's home. She had collapsed while training both me and a Scorbunny that had just recently hatched from an egg.
Speaking of Scorbunny, she was clinging to my shoulder for dear life as I continued to run. I finally stopped at the front door of Gloria's childhood friend, Hop's house.
Scorbunny jumped off of my shoulder and knocked on the door with a paw, it opened to reveal Hop's older brother, Leon.
"Huh? Scorbunny? Cinderace? What are you two doing here?" He asked, as I stared at him with fear and panic-filled eyes.
I lifted one of my paws from under Gloria and I pulled down her hood, revealing the pale face of Galar's young champion. He got the message and with great reluctance, I allowed him to take Gloria inside of his house, with me and Scorbunny following close behind.
As we entered the house, Hop looked up from playing with his Pokémon and their mother came out from the kitchen.
"Oh my Arcius! What happened?" Hop asked, looking between me, Gloria and Scorbunny. I looked over at Scorbunny who looked about ready to burst into tears.
"Scorbunny! Bunny Scorbunny scor!" Scorbunny shouted, pointing with her paws at Gloria, while she shifted nervously on her feet, staring up at Hop, Leon and their mother with fearful red-brown eyes.
Suddenly, the sound of a shaking Poke-Ball was heard from Gloria's bag. Leon carefully and gently put Gloria on the small couch as he slowly pulled her bag from her shoulders.
He opened the bag and four Poke-Balls opened and the Pokémon inside appeared in a flash of blue light. When the light faded, four worried Pokémon stood staring worriedly at their trainer. Gloria's Pikachu leapt up on the couch and curled into Gloria's side, I smiled warmly at their loyalty and the determination to help Gloria.
"Scorbunny, go find a bucket big enough to fit a lot of ice. Pikachu, go get a rag and wet it with cold water. Amaura, when Scorbunny returns, use your Ice Beam and fill the bucket. And Lucario, go and get a blanket and a cup of water." I ordered, and the Pokémon nodded and scattered to do their given tasks.
A few minutes later, the Pokémon came back with the requested items cliched in their paws. Once Scorbunny set the bucket down on the ground, Amaura used her Ice Beam and the bucket was full of ice in no time.
