When Dipper heard about Pacifica's situation he was angry for two reasons. For one he couldn't believe the amount of child abuse Pacifica had to go through. He also couldn't believe her father had the nerve to throw a rock at him. Dipper knew about Pacifica's crush on him and the thought of being together with her crossed his mind a couple of times but that got shot down when he started dating Tambry.
On Friday morning as he was just waking up Pacifica tapped him on the shoulder. Dipper weakly opened his eyes and muttered a quiet hello. I would think you would have some more respect if you knew I was now family said Pacifica. What are you talking about? asked Dipper. I'm finally free from my parents and was adopted by yours said Pacifica. I'm going to be your sister. Dipper could not believe what he was hearing. He wasn't against the idea but he was going to find it awkward that his sister was in love with him. It wasn't incest because Pacifica wasn't blood related but it was still weird. Tomorrow you are going to be discharged and the day after that we're heading back to Gravity falls said Pacifica. Dipper was looking forward to going back but he didn't know how he was going to be able to move much in his condition.
Dipper woke up the next day and his head was still throbbing. He could only walk at a slow pace and sometimes Mabel had to catch him to stop him from falling. He was tired all day and could barely keep his eyes open at dinner. The Pines parents got to know Pacifica more and it was starting to feel weird when she referred to them as mom and dad. How could he ever look at her the same way again. After dinner the twins went upstairs to go to bed while Pacifica went down to the guest bedroom in the basement. The reason why Dipper and Mabel still shared a room at the age of thirteen was because they loved each other more than anything else and their parents wouldn't even think about separating the two.
In the middle of the night the twins heard a knock on the bedroom door. They got up and opened it to see Pacifica holding her stomach. Hey um, I think the steak we had earlier isn't agreeing with my stomach and I really have to go to the bathroom said Pacifica. The problem is after being locked in a closet several times as punishment by my old parents I began to have a fear of the dark and i'm too scared to go alone. Her stomach let out a growl and the twins knew she didn't have very long. They walked her to the bathroom and she soon locked herself in to do what had to be done. As the twins were waiting outside Dipper felt like something was punching him repeatedly right where his birthmark was. He put his hand to it and started moaning as quietly as he could to try and not wake his parents. Dipper you didn't have to come with me, if it's that's bad you can just go back to bed said Mabel. I came out here because I care about Pacifica said Dipper. Mabel then had a sly grin on her face. Mabel, I don't have those thoughts anymore and i'm madly in love with Tambry said Dipper. Don't deny it, I heard you mumbling in your sleep about how Pacifica was your second option if you and Tambry broke up said Mabel. How the heck was I supposed to know she would become my sister? asked Dipper. I came from the same womb and she didn't, we both know who the real sister is said Mabel. Pacifica then opened the door feeling embarrassed. It's clogged, I tried to flush it but it wouldn't go down she said. I'll take care of it, Dipper you need to go back to bed said Mabel. You are in way too much pain.
Dipper climbed back into his bed feeling as though his head was going to explode. All he wanted was for this pain to go away. Now I know how Mabel felt when she got her braces he thought.
Authors note: Dipper's pain is based off of what I went through when I had my wisdom teeth removed. I know it's not the exact same as a concussion but it's still freaking painful. I would once again like to thank BenebyBurns for suggesting a story idea.
