Aida pursed her lips and ran her hand along the rack of sunglasses, eventually settling on a pair of aviators. She pulled them off and hung them from her shirt collar, walking off to continue her raid of the shop. The humans of this time called it a convenience store, which was a rather odd name to say the least. It certainly was easy to rob whilst keeping a low profile though. As she walked through the isles, she picked up a can of juice labelled 'Eleven Up' and took a swig, nearly gagging at how bad it tasted. She gingerly placed it back on the shelf, humming to the beat of the rock music playing in the background. As she exited the isle Silas passed her, holding a bag of crisps. His thick, dirty blond hair was stood up due to the electrostatic shock given out by the time tape (the same could be said of his equally thick beard). He ate a few crisps, finding them to be basically the only enjoyable food in this time period. He rounded a corner and shoved a can of petrol into his bag, as well as a few rolls of duct tape. At the other side of the shop, Brandt took a huge gulp of icy water from a plastic cup, wincing and grabbing his horns as the cold liquid hit his teeth. Silas – ever the pessimist – had said that he shouldn't be out in the open; people of this time weren't used to seeing supernatural creatures, especially not big red ones with bushy black beards and tall horns. As it turned out, he was right – to a degree. The people of this time weren't used to seeing supernatural creatures, so they assumed he wasn't one. Apparently people though he was some kind of 'cosplayer.'

Whatever that actually was was lost to Aida.

As Brandt recovered, he dumped the cup of water into the bin, vowing to never touch it again. He turned to the front of the shop, where the cashier was being held hostage by Phil. As all four members of the time-travelling team met up, Aida smiled and looked at his name tag.

"Norm," she read aloud. "That's a nice name."

It was only then that she noticed the shotgun laying in the corner.

"You seem like a strong man," she said, grinning widely. "But do you have what it takes to be a hero?" She gestured to the shotgun, prompting him to pick it up.

"Obviously not," she lamented, walking over and picking it up. She gave it a look over, running her hand across each nook and cranny, before aiming it at a gumball machine and firing. The glass shattered, the gumballs rolling all across the floor. She lifted it back up and reloaded it, letting it hang to her side.

"They're still using combustion in this time period," Phil lamented.

Silas smirked. "Maybe this'll be child's play after all."

"Why so optimistic all of a sudden?" Brandt asked. "A minute ago you were all whiney. Then again, you're always like that."

"Hey!"

"Girls, girls," Aida said, stepping in before it escalated from teasing jabs to a full-blown shouting match. "You're both pretty! Let's go." She grabbed the jukebox that had been playing the music and walked out, shotgun still in hand.

Brandt huffed slightly, furrowing his brow as Silas gave him the middle finger. The three walked out, leaving only Phil and Norm left in the shop. Phil jabbed his gun forward suddenly, frightening Norm. He chuckled, picking up a brochure for a place called Gravity falls on his way out.

Aida bopped her head to the beat of this music, reaching the shotgun over her shoulder for Silas to take. He accepted it gladly, putting in little effort to keep himself safe. As they walked away, Aida pulled the sunglasses from her collar and placed them on her face, finally blocking out the glaring sun that had annoyed her ever since she'd gotten to this wretched time period. That was one good thing about the apocalyptic wasteland that was the future; the sun had been blotted out long ago, so she didn't need to worry about being nearly blinded every time she looked up to the sky. They reached the small van they'd hotwired when they'd gotten here and jumped in, with Phil in the driver's seat. They took off with only one destination in mind: Gravity Falls.

This was just a one-shot I came up with in the middle of the night, so I decided to write it and post it here. This won't get a continuation (as Back 'Home' already exists), but I hope you enjoy it anyway.
