How's it going everyone, it's been awhile since I did another story, now I know I said I would be working on my power ranger Naruto story but recently I watched the new Mortal Kombat movie (Which I thought was good) and it got me motivated to make a Naruto and mortal kombat crossover, It took me some thinking of what I wanted Naruto to be, So i decided he will be half edenian and half mortal. The Edenian side is from Minato and the mortal side from Kushina. Now many had said he should start at MK 9 which at first I didn't since I wanted to start on MK X but If I remember correctly Edenians age slowly (I think), so by the time Cassie is introduced Naruto would look around her age or a couple years older. Yes I plan him to have a harem with Mileena, Jade and maybe Skarlet, sheeva. sorry but Kitana will be with Liu Kang.

Plot: Before the Mortal Kombat Tournament in outworld began, Quan Chi informs Shao Khan of a new discovered realm that had been hidden for many centuries until now, Naruto along with old and new comrades will stop at nothing till they and earthrealm are free from Kahn, however there is more to this than just a tournament, What truth will Naruto find?

Shinobi Kombat

Chapter 1:New kombatants

-Outworld-

The sorcerer Quan Chi was in the remaining ruins of Edenia's library. His master had tasked him to look for a certain scroll that was here. When Shao Khan invaded he raided the place and took whatever was useful. The Netherealm sorcerer saw that everything was burned or destroyed. He walked through broken glass and burned wood and books or pages.

He stepped on something and saw it buried beneath a pile of rubble. He kneeled down and brushed through it. It was a book but he felt the weight of it. He opened it halfway and just like he figured, a scroll was hidden in a page cutout. Dropping the book carelessly while taking the scroll out he opened it and began to read it. After ten minutes of reading, he found this very interesting.

A realm known as the Elementrealm was hidden for many years by both the Edenians and one known as the Sage Of Six Path. From the description and information of these Kekkei Genkai, they could be of great benefit to his master but once reading of these tail beasts and their powers, an evil smirk spread on the sorcerer face.

(Shao Kahn's throne room)

Shao Khan was reading the scroll that Quan Chi had found as he returned. This realm would be the perfect for him to conquer. A perfect opportunity to conquer both this and earthrealm. The power of these tail beasts intrigued him, if what they say are true, then they will be the key to make the elder gods and Raiden on their knees. .

"Shang Tsung." He called out his revitalized sorcerer who came forward. "You and Quan Chi, have a mission." He said.

Quan Chi had a hidden smirk, all according to plan.

-Wushi Academy-

"I do not understand." Raiden said to himself as he looked at his medallion which had small cracks but had grown after the tournament, Jax was next to him smoking a cigar. "He must win, if not Liu Kang then who?" he put his medallion back on.

"Tch you got me, don't know if anyone could have taken out Shang like he did, made him look like a chump." Jax chuckled at the end,

"Here to congratulate us for our victory sorcerer?" Raiden said as he didn't look as he sensed him.

Jax looked quickly as he tossed his cigar but was confused as he saw the now young sorcerer. "Shang Tsung?"

"You have been revitalized I see, I didn't realize your master was in the habit of rewarding failure." Raiden said as he now looked at him.

"The emperor has an offer Raiden, a new tournament." Shang Tsung said as he ignored the thunder gods comment.

Raiden gave a mocking chuckle. "I see no reason to participate in any plan of yours." he crossed his arms.

"The emperor proposes a single tournament to replace the current system, it will be held in Outworld." Shang Tsung continued. "If Earthrealrm does not win Outworld will absorb it. But if Earthrealm wins, Shao Khan will abandon his claim to it forever."

Raiden turned back around, not evening bothering to answer. "Give your Emperor my regards."

Shang Tsung smirked at this. "I should also inform you thunder god that Earth is not the only realm that interests my Emperor."

Raiden looked back as his blank eyes narrowed at the sorcerer. "What do you speak of sorcerer?"

"The Emperor has found another realm, one that I think you know of…The Element realm." Shang Tsung smirk grew

Raiden eyes widened at this and electricity course through him and was visible as he grew angry. "How does your Emperor know of this?"

Shang Tsung smirk never left. "The Emperor has his ways."

Raiden had grown more angry by the moment. The Elementrealm was by far the most dangerous realm. It was closed off thanks to the help of the Edenian's and Hagoromo. He feared after Edenia was conquered that the realm would be discovered but nothing was heard. But now it seems Shao Kahn has finally found it, If he captures the tailed beasts, he will have power beyond that of a god. This cannot happen, if the Elementrealm is under the protection of Earthrealm, then Shao Khan cannot directly invade it. However because of this, he must accept the offer. "Tell your emperor we accept."

"Wise Choice Thunder God however to ensure this." He waved his hands and two huge flaming portals opened which soon hordes of Tarkatans came out and attacked the Shaolin Monks who were fighting back.

Raiden quickly engaged in combat with the sorcerer and Jax took off to the battlefield, taking out Tarkatans but they're were too many that ganged up on him and was sent to the ground where he was then kicked in the head in which knocked him out.

-Elementrealm-

Naruto Uzumaki had returned Konohagakure a couple days ago from his training trip with Jiraiya. Yesterday he along with his teammate Sakura took on their sensei as he tested them with the same test when they were genins. They succeeded in capturing the bell thanks to his plan.

He was currently training in Taijutsu, Jiraiya had not only had helped him with the Rasengan, but he had taught him the frog Kata style, he even picked up other styles and manage to mix them. Including some new ninjutsu moves as he found that wind and fire are his elements.

Naruto had to admit, Ero-sennin taught him a lot in those three years. At first he really thought he would just learn to improve his Rasengan and try to harness the Kyuubi Chakra.

Speaking of which, that was the difficulty. The Kyubi Chakra was still hard to control. Even though he can manage to tap into a small portion of it he still couldn't fully grasp at the one tail state, it didn't help as the furball always mocked him whenever he tried to use it.

The third year was probably the hardest for him, He had unlocked his Uzumaki Kekkei Genkai during a spar against Jiraiya who was shocked by this thus leading him to tell Naruto the truth about his mother. Learning that his mother loved him, he couldn't be more happier.

After that they went to Uzushiogakure where he learned about fuinjutsu and how to fight with his kekkei genkai.

Naruto gave a punch to a wooden dummy as his mind went to the one person he still needed to bring back...

Sasuke

"Naruto!" He heard his name being called and turned around to see Sakura.

"Sakura? What's up?" He asked

"Lady Tsunade said she wants us in her office." Sakura told him.

"Huh? What for?" He asked.

"She didn't say but it involves us" The Pink Kunoichi said.

Naruto didn't question this as he knew it would make his teammate irritated knowing Tsunade was not a patient woman. He walked with her to the Hokage building.

-Hokage office-

Tsunade was taking a break from the nightmare of paperwork and was scratching a lottery ticket. it's been awhile since she tried her luck. She had two symbols that were pigs with a money symbol. A dreadful feeling started to form in her gut, she had hoped it was wrong,

she scratched the third sign and as she did, it was something she didn't want to happen

The same symbols in which she won one million.

She was weary about this. every time she had won something bad would be coming. But seeing she won big, this was not a good sign. "Shizune!" she called her assistance who entered.

"Yes Tsunade-Sama." Shizune looked and saw the lottery in her hand. "Tsunade-Sama you know better then to.." she stopped as she saw the look on Tsunade's face. She cautiously walked over and saw her master had won. "Tsunade-Sama you won one million." She was shocked and saw her master face had not changed. "Tsunade-Sama you won, aren't you happy?"

"That's the problem I won. I never win this big Shizune... Something bad may be heading our way." Tsunade said. Shizune didn't question this as it was rare for her master to be this serious. "Tell the Anbu captain to have his group on a close watch out around the village."

A knock was heard behind the door. "Enter!" Tsunade said out. As she expected, Naruto and Sakura showed up. "Good you're both on time."

Shizune bowed before stepping out to do the request.

"So what's going on grandma?" Naruto asked which made Tsunade have a tick mark, can the damn brat not call her that just for once.

She ignored this and spoke. "Since you returned, team 7 will be placed back on the roster," Both were happy with this. "But...In order for that to happen, a third teammate will be placed." She said

Naruto and Sakura were taken back by this. "Wait what do you mean third teammate?" He questioned.

Tsunade sighed. "I know you both don't like it, but this team needs to be a full set, with the Akatsuki out there on the hunt it's too much of a risk if it's just you two and Kakashi who is strong but even he knows a full team is always better." She made a strong valid point. Both couldn't argue with the idea as she was dead right.

They nod which made Tsunade give them a small smile.

Suddenly a green portal was summoned which surprised everyone. Sakura and Naruto stood in front guarding Tsunade. Stepping out was a shirtless bald man with gray skin. He had tattoo marks on his arms and on his head and was wearing a strange attire.

"Greetings, mortals." the Netherrealm sorcerer spoke

"Who are you!?" Tsunade voiced with authority.

"Allow me to introduce myself. I. am Quan Chi." The man spoke as he bowed.

Naruto for some reason had a bad feeling about this guy, what the hell was that thing he appeared out of? He felt the Kyubi chakra stir as if the fox didn't like this guy

"State your purpose." Tsunade questioned while still in Hokage mode

"My emperor has become very.. interested in your realm." The sorcerer told them

"Realm?" Tsunade raised an eyebrow.

"Yes or as your mortals call it, the element nation." His answer now made everyone on edge.

"Are you with the Akatsuki?" Tsunade questioned in a cold tone

"Akatsuki? I'm afraid you are wrong." Quan Chi said.

"Who is your so-called emperor? and what does he find interesting in the element Nation?" She questioned

"My Lord is Shao Kahn, Emperor of Outworld. He finds your nation very interesting with all these powers of Kekkei genkai's as you call it. But what fascinates him are these beasts of chakra called.. The tailed beasts."

Now Naruto started to get nervous and the furball wasn't helping as he was thrashing around in his cage, this guy was really bad news.

Tsuande had a dangerous look in her eyes. Suddenly her mind clicked when she heard Outworld. She had remembered her grandfather telling her stories about a place called Outworld that was ruled by a tyrant who battled with the one called Raiden God of Thunder, but she thought it was all nothing but a fairytale as she grew older

"Therefore my Emperor proposes a Tournament." Quan Chi said. "It is known, as Mortal Kombat."

Sakura and Naruto were confused at this.

"The best fighters from your realm will fight against Outworlds warriors, should we emerge Victorious your realm will merge with outworld. However should you win, Shao Kahn will abandon its claim to it forever."

She looked at the man like he was crazy. She decided to humor him. "Okay pal, lets say we decline or in my better language fuck off, then what?"

Sakura flushed at Tsunade language and groaned at her master.

Naruto laughed at this.

Quan Chi didn't reply but instead had waved his hand which glowed green. A scream was heard from outside. Naruto, Sakura and Tsunade looked out and saw that the shinobi forces were being invaded by strange looking humanoid creatures with razor sharp teeth's and blades on their forearms.

Tsunade turned with a fury on her face and went to attack the sorcerer but he vanished just as her punch connected the ground which cracked and destroyed a portion of the floor. She cursed and turned to the two. "Naruto head to the battlefield to support the other shinobi's, Sakura try to evacuate the Civilians, It's time to test how far your training has brought you!" She said.

Naruto and Sakura didn't waste time as they went to the battlefield. They landed on the ground and started to fight off the creatures. One attacked Naruto who dodged each slash from the blades and countered with a chain of punches to the chest before sending a powerful kick which sent the Tarkatan flying and hitting others. Multiple of them charged but that didn't bother him as he summoned a clone that went through hand signs. He blew a strong gust of wind that sent them in the air while the real Naruto blew flames that mixed with the wind and incinerated them.

Sakura was breaking through the blades of the many Tarkatans and landed powerful punches to the chests, skulls and backs which no doubt shattered and killed them. A huge one that was about twice her size came down with an axe weapon. She added Chakra to her feet and crouched down before launching up high which the Tarkatan didn't expect and she uppercuted him so hard that his head came off and was sent flying away.

Kakashi with a large Kunai covered with lightning chakra was slicing through the creatures that were attacking him. One was to attack from behind but he turned around and stabbed it through the chest with his raikiri as it came through the back, he pulled his arm free as the Tarkatan dropped dead.

"Kakashi-Sensei!" Naruto called out as he fought through the Tarkatans, Just as he was close to help he suddenly froze as his body didn't respond and was surrounded by a green aura, he was pulled far away where he soon landed hard on the ground in a random training area.

He groaned and started to get up, Just as he got to his feet a man had floated before him, he had black bandages covering his face except across his eyes that glowed green.

"Who are you!?"Naruto demanded.

"We are many, we are Ermac." he levitated down as a green aura burst from him.

"Out of the way!" Naruto yelled out.

"You shall not pass, the Emperor has need of your realm, resistance is useless, surrender and serve him." Ermac got in his fighting stance.

"Konohagakure belongs to no one!" Naruto's teeth grit in anger. "And I sure as hell don't serve anyone except Grandma!" he got in his stance

The two dashed forward and began to fight, Naruto was countering Ermac's punches and landed a couple of his own, one to the face follow by another to the body which made the warrior hunch over, he threw a up a palm which hit Ermac's chin and made his head snap back follow by a kick to the chest that sent him back landing hard. Naruto took the advantage and formed a Rasengan, charging forward he would have connected had Ermac not use his power to bind him. He was lifted before being slammed face down hard to the ground.

An X-ray showed Naruto's noise being broken from the Impact. He rolled back and wiped the blood from his nose that was crooked which he forcefully snapped back in place and was being healed by the Kyuubi.

He made four shadow clones and had them attack from different directions but they were dispersed when Ermac trapped them in the same move and sent them flying against trees. However he didn't expect another clone coming out from the ground and connecting an uppercut.

An X-ray showed Ermac's chin being cracked and some teeth's flying out.

The real Naruto was in the air and came down with a Rasengan, unfortunately Ermac levitated and dogged it and sent an energy ball that struck the shinobi and made him hit the ground hard back first. It was not over as Ermac came down stomping with both feets onto the chest.

X Ray showed Naruto's ribcage cracked.

Naruto coughed blood. He managed to kick the guy off him and rolled back, he stood up on a knee as he panted. This guy was something else, he has never faced anyone like this before. But he couldn't give up, he needed to help his friends. He got to his feet as he thought of an idea.

He made many more clones who all once again attacked, this time Ermac levitated them all and slam to the ground which all dispersed, He turned around just in time to see Naruto throwing a Windmill Shuriken at a fast speed but he evade it as he leaned left, Suddenly the weapon had turned to a Naruto clone who connected a hard kick that dazed Ermac.

The real Naruto rushed in and connected his Rasengan to the chest that sent the soul warrior crashing into trees which broke and was knocked out.

"Never miss with Naruto Uzumaki." He proclaimed. Seeing the warrior was out he was about to leave but unfortunately he was again caught in a green aura that binded him. At first he thought it was Ermac but it was revealed to be Quan Chi who walked forward and stood in front of him, Scorpion was behind.

Quan Chi examined Naruto who gave a glare and his eyes were red with a black slit. "So you are the Jinchuriki of the Nine Tailed Fox. My emperor will have very much use of your power." Just as he was about to leave with Naruto two fireball struck the sorcerer and spectre which knocked them back.

Naruto dropped to the ground where he was helped up by a man with long short hair and a red headband.

Raiden appeared in a flash of lightning "You will not have the boy Quan Chi."

Quan Chi got back up along with the ninja who was about to pull his sword out but the sorcerer gave a hand sign to withdraw. "I did not expect you here soon thunder god, but in that case you must have accepted our invitation from my emperor."

"Yes. now begone sorcerer." Raiden said with authority as the sky was getting cloudy. Flashes of lightning from the sky struck many Tarkatans on the battlefield killing them which shocked all the shinobi's.

"Very well Raiden, I will see your chosen fighters at the tournament, where they will meet death." Quan Chi said and looked at Naruto. "I will expect to see you too boy," he said before vanishing into a portal along with Scorpion, the Tarkatans and Ermac left also.

Once the threat was gone Raiden turned back and went over to Naruto who was being attended by Liu Kang. "Are you alright?"

Naruto nodded but was still dumbstruck at what Raiden did. "Who are you."

Raiden bowed in greeting. "I am Raiden, God of Thunder and Lightning and protector of Earthrealm and your realm."

"Wait, so it's true with what that guy said about these other realms? Who is this Shao Kahn guy?" the shinobi questioned as this was all confusing.

"Perhaps we should discuss this with your leader." Raiden said.

"Oh yeah my friends, I hope they're okay!?" Naruto led the two but were distances away as they were talking.

"He is young but very skillful." Liu Kang commented.

Raiden nodded. "Yes he has potential. I can sense another energy in him, one that I'm familiar with."

"So he is..?" Liu Kang trailed and Raiden nodded. They trio arrived to see the shinobi's helping out another as many were hurt from the battle.

"Naruto!" Sakura called out as she ran to him.

"Sakura. How's everyone?" He asked.

"Well thankfully no one was killed, many of our shinobi's are hurt though." Sakura told him. She saw both Raiden and Liu. "Naruto, who are these guys?"

Naruto had a rare serious look on his face which surprised her. "We need them to talk Grandma."

-Hokages office-

Tsunade was digesting everything Raiden had told her. It was all true. The Elder gods, Outworld, Shao Kahn and Mortal Kombat. After the incident with the invasion and the Tarkatans, she's willing to believe almost anything but now this has begun more stressing. Not only were the Akatsuki on the hunt for the jinchuriki's but now the entire element nation is in danger by a Tyrant who too wanted them.

She looked at the thunder god "This Tournament, Mortal Kombat. If we win then Shao Kahn will leave us alone for good right?"

Raiden nodded. "Yes that is correct, however I wouldn't underestimate his warriors, they will do whatever it takes to win even if that means cheating. I suggest you send your best fighters."

Tsunade had thought of this. She saw Sakura healing Naruto's chest. From what Raiden said Naruto had beat the warrior that was called Ermac who was one of Shao Kahn's new generals. It seems Jiraiya training really had paid off, she was too proud of Sakura as she handled the situation outstandingly, But she was concerned as this tournament was deadly and they could die.

However

She had to have faith in them. Before she said anything.

"I'm in." Naruto spoke out and everyone looked at him as he stood up when Sakura was finished healing him. "I may not know much about Outworld or this Shao Kahn, but I'm not gonna stand by and do nothing while everyone fights for our survival. I'll fight till my last dying breath because that's what a Hokage would do to protect his home, his friends and family." He proclaimed.

Sakura was surprised with Naruto's words but she gave a small smile. 'Even times like this you never lose your spirit Naruto, and you always know how to motivate others.'

Tsunade can see Naruto had grown a little mature during his trip, He was just like his father.

Liu Kang and Raiden were very impressed with the young man's determination, even after being told of the danger and power of the emperor held he showed no hesitation "You are very brave Naruto Uzumaki. Your fight against Ermac has proven you worthy to participate." Raiden said.

Naruto had bowed in respect.

"I'm coming too." Sakura said, which made Naruto look at her in surprise, she gave a slight smirk. "We're a team, If you mess with one of us, you mess with all of us."

"Well then I guess then we'll all be entering." a voice said by the window and everyone saw Kakashi,"

"Kakashi-sensei!" Naruto was surprised at this.

"Just like Sakura said. You mess with a member of team 7 then you mess with all of us. Besides I can't stand by and just let my students risk their lives." The silver haired shinobi said

"So it's decided. You three will participate in the tournament." Tsunade said

Raiden felt something strange and took off his amulet. He looked at it and surprisingly the cracks that had formed started to vanish and soon the amulet was restored the way it was.

"Lord Raiden you amulet." Liu Kang said with shock. Raiden was confused about this, how was this possible?

"Is everything alright?" Naruto asked

Raiden will have to ask the Elder Gods about this. He nodded. "Yes. I should mention as well that you will not be the only ones representing your realm. I have no doubt Shao Kahn has spread his message across here."

"So you think some of the other Shinobi's will also participate?" Tsuande asked.

Raiden nodded. "Shao Kahn has ways to persuade and force others to fight."

"Let's hope that they'll fight by our side." Kakashi said. Naruto looked out the window as many things went through his head but he would focus as the fate of the Element nation rested on their shoulders.

-Amegakure-

In a room where there was hardly light, three people were having a meeting, A flash of lighting showed the leader of the Akatsuki who was known as Pein, a woman with blue hair with an Origami flower name Konan

The third person was the true mastermind behind the Akatsuki. He wore the same cloak as they did, he had spike short black hair and wore an Orange spiral mask with an eye hole on the right side. This man was Madara Uchiha...in his head but in reality His name was Obito Uchiha.

The same Obito Uchiha who has thought to be dead after the third great ninja war from his sacrifice. However he managed to survive thanks to the help of an elder Madara Uchiha who was still alive thanks to the Gedo statue.

"Are you sure of this Pein?" The masked man questioned.

"Yes, Zetsu confirmed this " Pein said

Obito was thinking what he heard. He had been told by Madara about a legendary place called Outworld, It not only held great power but even some of the most ruthless and dangerous warriors, Including the most deadly tournament known as Mortal Kombat. Madara had sent Zetsu to try to find this place but after many years it was hopeless.

But now.

"What of the Jinchuriki's?" Obito questioned.

Konan spoke. "Each of them will be entering the tournament except the Sanbi Jinchuuriki, the Kyubi Jinchuuriki won't be coming alone as two Konha shinobi's will be with him."

"Interesting." Obito rubbed his chin. "Then this will be an easy task for us to capture them."

"What about this Outworld." Pein questioned

"I Think I might help." a voice said which made everyone except Obito was on guard. Out of the shadow showed Quan Chi along with a ninja who wore full black and his eyes were white.

"Who are you?" Obito asked as he remained calm.

"My name is Quan chi, I believe we can help each other get what we want." The sorcerer proposed.

"Oh, do tell?" Obito said in amusment.

Quan Chi had a hidden smirk.

-Orochimaru's hidden lair-

"Is this really true kabuto?" The missing nin and one of the Sannins Orochimaru asked.

"You know I would never lie to you Orochimaru-Sama. Konoha was invaded by strange looking creatures. Fom Danzo roots report they came from a place called Outworld.

Orochimaru's eyes widened as he couldn't believe it. He had heard stories of a place that held an ancient tournament with the strongest fighters from across the realms. He can Imagine many strong fighters being there and some may have abilities that he may have interest in for himself. But there was a problem. He never knew the location of it.

Before he spoke he sensed someone and looked in the corner. He had a grin. "Alright, you can come out now." he said.

Kabuto was confused and looked in the corner to see a de-camouflage Reptile. He went to protect his master but Orochimaru gave a sign to relax.

He walked forward and was face to face with the reptilian fighter. "What can I do for you."

"My Emperor has invited you." He gave him a scroll before he camouflaged and vanished.

Orochimaru looked at the scroll and opened it. As he read, an evil smirk grew. He gave an inner chuckle. "Looks like Sasuke skills will be put to the test."

"Orochimaru-sama?" Kabuto was confused by his masters statement.

"Be prepared Sasuke, looks like you'll be seeing Itachi soon." Orochimaru said. Out from the shadows behind him was the last Uchiha who three years ago defected from Konoha in order to study under the snake sannin.

His eyes open and his dojutsu the Sharingan flared as it showed it was matured. 'Soon...this will end soon...Itachi.'

-Earthrealm Wushi Academy-

Team 7 had appeared with Raiden and Liu Kang. Earthrealm warriors were gathered. Johnny, Jax, Kung Lao, Kai, Nightwolf and Kenshi.

"Lord Raiden you have returned." Kung Lao said and looked at the trio shinobi's.

"Yo Raiden, no offence but I thought you said you would be recruiting other fighters. I only see one." Johnny said with a smart tone.

Sakura didn't like the man's assumption, so she came forward and spoke. "Hi my name Sakura, Sakura Haruno." she said in a sweet tone and extended a hand.

"Johnny, Johnny cage." Johnny introduced himself and shook Sakura's hand.

But the minute he did his hand started to feel crushed in an iron hard grip by none other than Sakura who had a sweet smile. "I hope you aren't assuming we're not fighters."

"No,no,no,no welcome to the team." Johnny flabbergast in pain.

"Good." Sakura released her grip and Johnny groaned as he held his hand.

Jax whistled and chuckled. "Damn girl, that's some strength you got, names Jackson bridge but just call me jax." He offered a hand to Sakura who shook it and she nodded with a smile in respect.

"Well since we're introducing each other. Kakashi Hatake." Kakashi shook hands "These two are my students, you of course know Sakura Haruno." He indicated the Pink Kunoichi. "And this is Naruto Uzumaki." Naruto nodded to them and smiled.

"Haokah, will we now depart to Outworld?" Nightwolf asked.

"Yes, I shall teleport us there, but be wary my powers will be limited there so be on the watch out for any of Shao Kahn's fighters.

Everyone nodded.

Raiden held his hand up and lightning surrounded the fighters and they vanished.

-Outworld-

The warrior appeared in a flash and was outside the palace of Shao Kahn. Naruto looked around the place and it was strange seeing the sky purple. He saw a giant gold statue of Shao Kahn.

"Someone has a huge ego." Naruto said.

"His ego may be big, yes. But Shao Kahn has the power to prove why he is the emperor of Outworld. Come, this way." Raiden led them inside. After a minute they were in the throne room where there were fighters from the element nation and Outworld fighters.

Naruto had a good look at the Outworld fighter, he almost gawked at the size of Goro. When he saw the seven fighters from the Element nation, he could tell when he saw their headbands.

He felt a stir in the Kyubi chakra again for some reason, it wasn't like when he saw QUan Chi but more like a familiar feeling. A certain shinobi out of the svene he recognized and gave a large smile

"Gaara!" Naruto called out and ran to him.

Sakura groaned and pinched the bridge of her goes Naruto being the goofball and being the center of attention by the enemies.

Gaara looked at Naruto and gave a small smile. "Naruto, it's been years."

Naruto chuckled. "Yeah, I just got back home a couple days ago. I heard you became Kazekage, congrats. I would have came to see you But.." He indicated the Outworld fighters. "By the way, how did you get involved in this?"

"Suna was recently attacked by strange creatures, thankfully no one was killed." Gaara said. Raiden had told Naruto that they weren't the only ones that had been invaded. "After the invasion I was approached by a man called Quan Chi." Naruto's eyes narrowed at this.

"I'm guessing he told you about the tournament and how to stop this Shao Kahn guy." the blonde hair shinobi said.

Gaara nodded.

The conversation would be cut short as loud drums were being played. Coming out were many tarkatans. Soon enough came the emperor of Outworld, Shao Kahn. (MK 11 Attire) along with two beautiful females with one wearing an attire of green and the other in royal blue.

Naruto for the first time had felt his breathe gone as he saw the Carmel skinned green attire female. once she turned and saw him, he saw the most beautiful pair of jade green eyes.

Sakura saw this and gave an annoying sigh and elbowed him in the ribs which broke his trance

The sorcerer Shang Tsung lastly followed. Once the emperor sat down on his throne. The drums stopped.

"Welcome Kombatan's. I am Shang Tsung." He introduced himself. Naruto already didn't like the guy, he glanced to his left and saw the blindfold swordsman's hand clench. The shinobi could feel the Hostility from him towards the sorcerer.

"You are all here for one reason only, to save your realm." he gave a smirk.

Naruto muted out the sorcerer as he looked at Shao Kahn. He could feel the power radiating off the guy, it was crazy. Raiden was right about this guy, he was no joke.

"The winner, will have the great honor and privilege to face the emperor." Shang Tsung said.

The shinobi's and Earthrealm warriors were silent

"The Tournament begins!" Shao Kahn announced, the Tarkatan's cheered.

Naruto hated the smirk on Kahn's face. Without thinking he marched towards the front.

"Naruto!" Sakura called out to him

"Hey skull face!" he shouted to Kahn who didn't look amused at the Shinobi's insult. "What gives you the right to invade our home."

"So you are the one who defeated Ermac." Shao Kahn chuckled. "Then you shall be the first to volunteer." The Tarkatans cheered for this.

"Wait what?" Naruto taken back by this

"Naruto Uzumaki, your opponent will be the general Tarkatan, Baraka." Shang Tsung said

Baraka came through the other tarkatans who cheered for him.

"Ugh, someone must have hit you with the ugly stick." Naruto commented.

Baraka snarled as blades popped out of his forearm. "My blades will carve out your heart."

"Fight!" Shao Kahn declared.

Baraka made the first move as he used his blades to slide across the ground which Naruto didn't expect and was drop kicked in the chest sending the Shinobi to the ground on his back.

Naruto groaned at the impact but quickly recovered as he rolled out the way from Baraka's blade as he tried to stab him. He threw a pair of shuriken's that Baraka easily deflected.

However he didn't expect a long gold chain with a spear head stabbing into his shoulder. He was pulled across and was clothesline hard making him flip a 360 and hit face first against the ground. Getting up Baraka was furious and charged as he started to ferociously attack with his blades, Naruto dodged each of them and summoned out his chain from his hand and started to spin it around him, he coated the chains with wind chakra and threw it which Baraka dodge but a cut showed on his cheek and wiped to see blood.

This triggered Baraka's raging bloodlust. He dashed towards Naruto who was taken back by the speed and blocked a hard punch but that moved him back. He dropped his arms and had just barely rolled out the way from a slash although a cut was still shown across his cheek as blood dripped but he wiped it away.

Baraka had sent sparks from his blades towards the shinobi who was dodging each of them, He had again dashed forward catching Naruto off guard as he grabbed him and had headbutted him which slightly dazed Naruto but suddenly his head snapped forward returning the favor to the Tarkatan general but thanks to his headband the metal plate smashed against the nose which broke.

Baraka closed his eyes from the pain which gave Naruto the opportunity he needed. He kicked Baraka in the chest hard which sent him back.

Naruto threw the chain spear as it stabbed into Baraka and again pulled him forward. He pulled the chain spear but gripped it around his hand. He slashed Baraka's body and spun around connecting his backfist that was wrapped by the chain, an X-ray showed Baraka's jaw breaking, Naruto continued the assault as he stabbed the spear tip into him three times, on the fourth one he brung it down across the body as blood spurted and a X-ray showed the rib cage being broken by the blade.

Naruto formed a Rasengan and smashed it into Baraka's skull which shattered and was sent flying, knocking him out.

"Guess my heart is staying with me." Naruto said

Jade for the first time had found someone interesting, there was something about this guy that Jade her curious, was this how Kitana felt with the earthrealm champion.

Kahn wasn't bothered by the loss as he studied the boy who had what he needed. "Naruto Uzumaki Wins"

Sakura sighed in relief but had a small smile that Naruto had won.

"Not bad." Johnny said but was actually impressed with Naruto's abilities.

"Whatever you say." Kung Lao rolled his eyes at the movie star.

"His fighting skills are impressive for one being young." Kenshi said.

Naruto came back to the group where Raiden spoke. "Well done Naruto, but i suggest you not charge headfirst." the god advised him.

Naruto nods at this. "Here let me check you." Sakura's hand glowed.

"You, girl!" Shao Kahn's voice caught the Kunoichi's attention. "You will be fighting next."

Sakura grit her teeth in anger knowing he was doing this on purpose.

"Sakura-chan." Naruto caught her attention. "Don't worry about me, just go and kick ass." he gave a grin.

She blinked a couple of times and had a determined look, she nodded.

She walked over to the front throne as she slipped her gloves on, she tightened them and clenched her hand into a fist showing she was ready.

"Sakura Haruno, your opponent will be, Tanya." Shang Tsung said.

A lady with tan skin wearing a yellow attire came flipping acrobatically and landed on a knee before standing up. "So you're my opponent, then this should be easy."

Sakura was going to humiliate her.

"Fight!" Shao Kahn shouted.

Tanya threw a fireball at Sakura who dodged it easily. She grabbed some shuriken's from her pouch and charged, She threw them towards the Edenian traitor who dodged this but this was what Sakura wanted.

Engaging hand to hand, Sakura hand caught the wrist of her opponent and connected a punch to the face which would had dropped Tanya but the Kunoichi still held her wrist and pulled her back up to her feet where she again connected a punch that sent the female fighter skidding across the ground.

Tanya quickly flipped back to her feet and wiped the blood from her lip. She was furious at this and pulled out a pair of Tonfa blade like weapons.

Sakura had gone into her pouch and instead of pulling out Shuriken's or Kunai's she brought out a pair of golden brass knuckles. These were gifts from Tsunade after she finished her training under her.

Tanya dashed towards the Kunoichi who did the same. They clashed their weapons and traded attacks with one another blocking. The two locked their weapons against each other, Sakura went for a kick which Tanya expected as she teleported around behind and sliced her back causing the Kunoichi to cry out and grunted in pain.

"Sakura!" Naruto shouted in worry.

Tanya shot a pyro that struck Sakura knocking her to the floor. Tanya jumped in the air and spun down in a corkscrew. Sakura had rolled out the way in time as her opponent stomped down creating a small web crack.

Sakura added Chakra to her weapons which popped out sharp spikes from the knuckles. She punched the leg hard with full force which stabbed in.

The Edenian traitor cried out in pain, It was not over yet. Sakura next connected three hard punches. She quickly grabbed her opponent and proceeded to pumble her gut with blurs of punches.

An X-ray showed Tanya stomach and her organs ruptured. Sakura delivered a spin kick which showed Tanya's jaw dislocating, Finishing it off Sakura's weapon glowed blue and she delivered a superman punch to the skull which shattered and knocked out the edenian traitor as she hit the floor.

"What was that about me being easy." Sakura smirked

"Way to kick ass Sakura!" Naruto cheered. Kakashi had a proud smile behind his mask,

"Sakura Haruno Wins." Shao Kahn bitterly announced

"Okay I take my statement about them." Johnny Cage said as he made a note not to tick off the pink Kunoichi

"I think her and Sonya are gonna get along just fine." Jax chuckled at the movie star's reaction.

"She has talent." Kung lao said. Raiden nodded

Sakura came back to the group and started to heal her back. "Are you alright Sakura?" Naruto asked her.

She nodded. I'll be alright." She asured Naruto

"The third match shall now commence." Shang Tsung said.

"Guess I'll be going next." Kakashi walked to the front throne.

"Kakashi Hatake your opponent will be the Centaur general, Motaro!" Shang Tsunade announced

Kakashi heard fast footsteps coming from behind and quickly jumped in the air. He landed back on his feet and saw his opponent who was a muscled man with horns, he had the body and legs of a horse.

"You are fast human, but now you shall face the wrath of Motaro!" The man half centaur declared.

"And I was looking forward to reading my book." Kakashi said as he got into his stance.

"Fight!" Shao Kahn shouted.

Motaro quickly leaped over to squash Kakashi who moved out the way, he used his tail to stab the ninja or at least try too but the shinobi was too quick. He quickly turned around and did a mule kick which would have connected Kakashi's chest had he not blocked it. He flew back landing safely on his feet. On instinct he jumped out the way which thankfully he did as a red ball of energy hit the ground causing a scorch mark. Hewent through hand signs. "Fire style: Great fireball jutsu." he shot out a huge fireball from his mouth which would have incinerated the half man had he not vanished in a dissolve way.

Kakashi eyes widened as he didn't expect this and quickly turned around to see his opponent connecting a punch to his jaw sending him back but flipped safely again on his feet. If he hadn't coated chakra to his jaw no doubt it would have shattered.

He managed to bite down on his thumb hard enough for it to bleed and took from his pouch a scroll which he unsealed and swiped it with his blood. In a poof of smoke a Tanto with a small circular hand-guard came into the grasp of Kakashi who unsheathed it slowly showing it's staright blade

"Whoa, I didn't know Kakashi-sensei knew how to use a sword." Naruto surprised

"Yeah, I didn't know either." Sakura said as she too was surprised.

Being a swordsman Kenshi had found the blade interesting, but what was more interesting was that he can sense that it has some secret power much like his Katana.

The outworld Centaur laughed. "It is pointless, none of your weapons will be no match for Motaro."

Kakashi ignored the taunt and charged. Motaro fired a red energy ball from his tail which Kakashi was expecting. He had put in chakra into his blade and swiped up cutting the energy ball in half and leaving a white streak of chakra. Motaro didn't expect this and repeated his attacks but each of them were being sliced. Kakashi spun around to dodge and at the same time swung his blade which sent a streak of white lightning striking the Centaur. Motaro grew angry at this and charged at full speed. Kakashi flipped over him and cut the back making the man-beast grunted out in pain.

He landed on his feet while facing his opponent who by the looks of it was getting a little fatigue. Deciding to end it he made a few hand signs and vanished into the ground.

Motaro began to look around as he concentrated. He swiftly turned around and slammed his hand into the ground in which he brought out Kakashi by the throat.

"Kakashi-Sensei!" Naruto called out in worry.

"Now die!" Motaro shouted as he gripped around the throat in which he soon crushed as a crunch sound was heard and Kakashi went limp.

Naruto and Sakura eyes widen it couldn't be...

Motaro was smirking as he was satisfied with his victory. Unfortunately it was not meant to be as the dead body of the shinobi vanished in a puff of smoke.

Everyone was shocked by this but not more than Motaro. Kakashi came out the ground with his blade coated with white chakra, he made a deep gash across the chest of Motaro making it spurt blood. He roared in pain.

Kakashi still in the air delivered a vicious kick to the jaw of Motaro. X-ray showed Motaro jaw being broken into pieces. The Outworld fighter dropped to the ground.

"That settles that." Kakashi said and sheathed his Tanto.

Kahn was not happy with his general losing including some of the Outworld fighters except Goro who enjoyed watching the humilation of the Centaur

Naruto and Sakura sighed in relief they should have known their sensei better.

Motaro was still conscious as he heard he had lost. This can not be. He can not lose. He can not fail his master. Getting up he used whatever energy he had to charge with the intent to kill.

"Kakashi-sensei!" Naruto shouted as he try to warn his sensei.

Just as Motaro was about to gore the shinobi, he vanished in a swirl of leaves.

Looking around frantically he didn't see Kakashi until it was too late as he appeared above with his Tanto out. The blade was covered by white lightning as it gave off sounds like his chidori.

He came down with the weapon as it sliced into Motaro's skull all the way down to his torso. Yanking the blade out, the centaur slowly split vertically in two. Blood spurted like a fountain which splatted on Kakashi vest and mask.

The deceased Centaur general body swayed before it hit the ground making a pool of blood.

Sakura and Naruto were shocked at the brutality from their sensei.

"Damn." Jax said as he winced at the sight.

Shao Kahn was not pleased to see his general being killed, however nothing less, the Centaur race had been lacking for some time and this proved it. They soon will be replaced by the Shokans.

"Kakashi Hatake wins. Fatality!" Shao Kahn declared

Kakashi sighed as the fight was now over, he flickered the blood off his blade and sheathed it before sealing it. Returning to the others.

Shang Tsung was about to announce the next kombatants but Reptile appeared beside him and began to whisper something which made the sorcerer grin

"Excellent. It seems I have pressing matters to attend to. With the emperor's permission we will reconvene later." He looked at his master who nodded. He stood up as he left with Reptile and Shang Tsung left somewhere else while the Tarkatans and Outworld fighters left also.

"Wait that's it?" Naruto questioned.

"I'm afraid not Naruto, whatever Shang Tsung has planned can not be good." Raiden said.

"Well in that case, let's try to find Sonya." Jax said.

"Your partner right? Do you have anything that belonged to her?" Kakashi asked.

Jax raised an eyebrow and pulled out Sonya's dog tag from his pocket. "Just this." he handed it over

"Perfect." The silver hair shinobi said and swiped a smudge of his blood and went through hand signs. "Summoning jutsu." He slammed his hand on the ground and in a puff of smoke a small brown miniature pug with a blue sleeveless vest and a Konoha headband appeared.

"Yo what's up Kakashi." The dog greeted.

Johnny's mouth dropped. "No...way.."

"Pakkun, I need you to find someone, I have something that'll help." Kakashi said and held the tag close to Pakkun who sniffed it.

A minute later. "I got it." Pakkun said

"Good work." Kakashi said and looked at Jax. "Pakkun will lead us to find your partner."

"Kung Lao, Liu Kang both you and Kai will help free the captive shaolin's. Nightwolf, Kenshi, Johnny Cage and I will assist Jax and Kakashi into help free Sonya.

"Hey what about us!?" Naruto exclaimed as he felt forgotten. Sakura bonked him on the head.

"Stay close to the others." Kakashi indicated the other shinobis that were here as they had yet to fight.

Naruto looked back at them. Something had kept bothering him every time he saw them. Maybe he'll get answers.

"And as I said before, be on the lookout for Shao Kahn's warriors, they will try to eliminate you at any cost." Raiden warned them.

Naruto and Sakura nodded.

"May the elder god, protect you." Raiden said to them. Everyone split up.

Naruto was in his thoughts about who else he would be fighting, after his battle with Baraka including Sakura's match and Kakashi's this was not going to be easy.

But that will not stop him, he'll keep fighting until his realm is free from Kahn Tyranny.

Whew what a long chapter but what else can you expect from lots of fights, It took me a while to figure out Kakashi fatality and the chidori was something too simple so I decided to have him use his saber. The akatsuki will make their appearance soon as you might already guess they'll be fighting the jinchuriki's. I will hold a vote on Naruto, should he be related to scorpion or no
