This is just a one shot that is not a lemon. Originally it was but I changed my mind when I was writing. This will be after Erina took refuge in the Polar Star dormitory and felt surrounded by loving people, including a red haired boy that she was still very confused about.
At Polar Star Dormitory.
Erina Nakiri, holder of the infamous God Tongue and Ex member of the elite council of ten was now on her new home, the Polar Star dormitory. The place that was once the home of her father when he was a student and of people, she admired so much like chefs Dojima and Joiichiro. Right now, Erina just wanted to stay quiet. After the whole mess that her father made with his new plans all she wanted was to stay quiet.
''So here I am. From a mansion with 5 stars chefs to a dormitory that smell like a farm and is full of students. Oh boy.'' Said Erina to herself. She didn't hated the people of the dormitory, but from where she was to now, it was quite a change.
While she was thinking a knock was heard in her door.
Knock
''Come in.'' Said her.
Soon Soma appear with a tray of food in his hand.
''Oh, its you. What do you have there?" Asked Erina.
''We thought you might be hungry.'' Said Soma.
''Who made this?'' Asked Erina seeing the plate with some roasted beef.
''Me. You will liked it. Is a Yukihira special beef.'' Said Soma with a smile.
''Oh great. Let's see if lives to your expectations.'' Said Erina.
Soma put the plate in front of the girl and soon she took a bite. As Erina chew that meat, she could sense all the richness inside of that beef, the delicious sauce and all the seasoning that went there.
''What do you think?" Asked Soma.
''Is….'' Said Erina almost ready to admit that was good. However, the snarking image of Soma was on her head, and she didn't want to admit that he made something that she loved.
''It taste horrible! The temperature is overdone, the are some raw parts and I think I found a hair here.'' Said Erina being all tsundere.
Soma only takes a laugh and shook those complains.
''Really? Well, I guess I better try again.'' Said Soma.
''You have got better ever since the start of the school year. But you are still a long road to satisfy me.'' Said Erina.
''Well, that's good. I still have 2 years to do that. Just you wait Nakiri, I will make something that will make you say its delicious.'' Said Soma.
''Sure.'' Said Erina.
Erina at first was all chilled and then it hit her like a truck that she was alone in the room with Soma. At normal circumstance Hisako would kick Soma out, but now she didn't know what to do. Scream? Run? Say a joke? She didn't know.
''So, tell me how are you feeling with all this? You know your dad and all?" Asked Soma.
The question was really shocking for Erina. She never imagined Soma to ask something so serious or personal, he was mostly a very chilled and laid back guy.
''It's pretty difficult to handle all this. I haven't seen in a while and he does this takeover of the academy. Is a lot to take. I felt that I was free from his ways, but it appears it isn't the case. I am still feel chained to his commands.'' Said Erina all sad.
Soma heard all that and thought of a young Erina not being truly happy. He imagined that she must had an awesome childhood, but it appears that wasn't the case.
''You know that right now you are safe. We just want to make you feel that way.'' Said Soma.
''Well thank you.'' Said Erina with a polite way.
''Do you like the Polar Star?'' Asked Soma.
Erina didn't know what to answer. Was she going to be straight? Or lie?
''Is…nice. In a way.'' Said her all nervous.
Soma could see the girl trying to hide her nervous way so he decided to just laugh.
''Well…I am glad that you liked it. We also have some pretty neat facts in this floor alone. The room that I sleep, is also the same room that my dad used to sleep when he was in the dormitory. I find this neat.'' Said Soma.
''What about your mom? I mean was she also a polar star student?" Asked Erina.
The chipper and enthusiastic Soma suddenly felt all down and stopped smiling.
''Is something personal. I don't wanna talk about it.'' Said Soma all sad.
Erina didn't know what happened to Soma mom, but whatever it was it left an emotional scar in the teen.
''We will talk more with you tomorrow. I just came here to deliver dinner. If anything, just knock in someone door. Bye Erina.'' Said Soma going out.
The girl saw Soma leaving her room. Her food was still there because she hasn't thrown out and she decided to eat the rest.
''Ok. Just this time.'' Said her.
A few days later
The polar Star gang was all leaving to go shopping for new ingredients. Their fridge with not enough supplies and their crops were also not filled. Ever since Erina dad took over Totsuki they haven't receive any new food from the higher ups.
''Erina-nee we are leaving.'' Said Yuki much to the other girl Schock.
''What? Why?'' Asked Erina.
''Sorry, we are out of ingredients and if we don't hurry, we will start having hunger. This place with no food turns into a war zone.'' Said Megumi remeberign the last time they didn't have enough food.
''And I will be here alone?!' Scream Erina.
''don't worry there will be someone with you.'' Said Ryoku.
''He will call you later. We need to go, the best offer end soon.'' Said Zenji.
''Sorry Erina-nee.'' Said Yuki.
''But I will be here alone with nothing to do?'' Asked Erina.
''Go to watch tv or read a book. You sure must have do that as a kid. Bye.'' Said Ryoko.
''Wait…'' Said Erina but it was too late, they all had already left.
Erina was now all alone in the polar star dormitory and she felt like a little girl alone in a giant mansion. Now she didn't know what to do, because most of the stuff there she didn't know how to operate.
''Well at least they left me something to eat.'' Said her seeing some cookies on the table.
The girl went to her room and decided to kill time on her phone. Soon someone knock on her door.
Knock Knock
''Come in.'' Said her.
It was Soma, once again much to her shock.
''Wait! Why weren't you with the others!'' Scream her.
''Sorry, but we take the straws to see who is getting behind and looking after the dormitory. I lost many times.'' Said him.
''How can you lose at straw?'' Asked her.
''I usually picked the one that I thought was the longest, but it was always the shortest.'' Said Soma with a cheap smile.
The God Tongue girl could only find that annoying. She was now alone in that place with him of all people.
''Are you hungry? I made some lunch for the evening.'' Said him with a sandwich.
''What is that?" Asked Erina.
''A croissant sandwich. It has cheese, tomato, bacon and a fried egg. Oh, and also herbal herbs.'' Said Soma.
The smells once again invaded Erina nose. It was so good.
''Its smell good.'' Said her.
''Here, take it.'' Said him.
Erina took the sandwich that was wrapped in a napkin because was still pretty hot and took a bite.
''The taste is so crunchy, is full of butter and is on the right amount. The flavor is excellent.'' Thought her.
''So? It is the winner?" Asked Soma.
''It taste…. horrible. Compared to the ones I can make this one barely makes as something you buy on the streets.'' Said Erina.
Soma only laughs at that. Pleasing that girl was hard, but he never backed down from a challenge.
''Wow, you really are difficult to please.'' Said Soma with a smile.
''Of course. Even as a baby I had rejected tons of famous chefs. To please my taste is a hard task for any cook.' Said her.
''Well so you better wait. Because I will be one of those cooks that will please you.'' Said Soma all serious.
''What? Are you for real?' Asked Erina.
''Wait for it!'' scream Soma going out.
A few hours later.
Soma decided to see how Erina was doing now. She was in Zenji room reading some books and he decided to treat her to something nice.
''What do you have back there?" Asked Erina seeing a bottle behind Soma.
''Rice juice. Ryoko makes it. Want some?" Asked Soma.
''This is basically sake!' Scream Erina.
''don't worry. The alcohol level is not of a real drink. We will feel a little dizzy, but not that much.'' Said Ryoko.
''What! You mean you had this before?" Asked her.
''Me and the other members of Polar Star. Come on Erina, now you are a member of our dormitory. You could at least share a drink with me.'' Said Soma.
''Well….ok.'' Said her.
Erina felt all red as Soma prepare her a cup of rice juice.
''I am not going to get drunk with this. I experienced all kind liquors in my food.'' Said her.
''Sure. Cheers.'' Said Some.
Erina soon smell the juice and saw how it was.
''The smell and the composition is good.'' Thought her taking a sip.
''So how do you rank?" Asked Soma.
''Is a good. I have to say not a bad drink.'' Said her.
''So Ryoko fermentation is good enough for you?" Asked Soma.
''Sure, but don't tell her. You know what we don't have school tomorrow. Poor me another cup.'' Said Erina.
10 cups later.
Soma and Erina were now pretty much dizzy drunks. After that much rice juice you will start to get a little down and drunk. Those twos were pretty much with their heads spitting all over the place.
''Well…you know how to drink Erina.'' Said Soma.
''Shut up!'' Scream her hitting Soma.
POW.
''Are you sure are you ok? Isn't your dad like a vampire?" Asked him.
''My dad can be merciless, but he is not going to have me kidnapped just to return to him.'' Said Erina.
''that's good to hear. When I was a kid my dad left me with my grandfather all the time. There was sometimes that people thought that he was dead because he didn't return home for over 6 months in a row.'' Said Soma. With his father being a world-famous chef, he was hired to cook in so many places.
''Wow. Your dad sucks.'' Said Erina.
''No, your dad sucks.'' Said Soma and the two break down laughing.
''Ha ha Ha.'' Laugh out loud the two.
The two decided to sit on Zenji bed and try to relax. They were still a little bit drunk, so they need it to stay with their head on the game.
''You know…at first I thought you hated me.'' Said Soma.
''Oh really?'' Asked Erina in shock.
''Oh yes. You seen all snob and with the ´´better than you´´ attitude. I imagined that I was just someone pissing in your parade.'' Said him all emotional.
''No. I never hated you Yukihira. Is just I think you are frustrating sometimes. I worked all my life to be dedicated to cooking while you treat as if was something that you can enjoy all the time. I actually envy that on you.'' Said Erina being honest.
The talked made Soma really surprised. Erina was rare to open up her feelings and this time he felt this was legitimate.
''Did Megumi talked with her? Because this was super sweet.'' Thought Soma.
Soon the two falls down on the bed.
''Wow, that juice is starting to kick in.'' Said Erina all sleepy.
''No kidding. I feel like I can be knocked out any minute.'' Said Soma.
''Well, I am not going to sleep next to a hog like you. I much prefer to be on my room.'' Said Erina all snobby while a little bit drunk.
''You´re all snobby even at this point. No wonder you are single.'' Said Soma with a laugh.
''At least I have man that want me. Unlike you, I don't see any women making a line.'' Said Erina with a smirk.
''that's true. But I am not in the mood for dating now. Maybe after I became a real chef, you know when everything is settled.'' Said Soma.
''Sure.'' Said Erina.
The two soon looked at each other vaguely. Both of them starting like they were there was nothing else to look at.
''You know what…he is actually cute from this angle.'' Thought Erina.
Soon the girl moved her lips and gave Soma a kick kiss. The boy was confused and so was the girl.
''I…I…'' Said her but Soma decided tocomfort her.
''Erina calm down. Its ok. You didn't hurt me.'' Said Soma.
''sorry. This was my first kiss.'' Said her.
''Come on. I thought that someone like you has kissed before. Someone like me had never an opportunity to kiss.'' Said Soma
''Why?' Asked Erina.
''Maybe because I never understood women. The only woman that I fully understood was my mom, and I miss her every day. But she thought me if I ever kiss is to be with someone that I love and admire. I guess that would be you Erina.'' Said Soma.
Erina felt that she was about to cry now. That was one of the most touching things she has ever heard.
''As long you are willing to taste my cooking, I will never leave your sight.'' Said Soma.
The girl then hugged Soma with all her strength as she cry a little bit.
''Thanks.'' Said Her.
''And remember. I wont stop making food for you until you say it taste good.'' Said Soma.
''You are a hopeless person.'' Said Erina with a chuckle.
''Oh, come on, that's the Yukihira way. That's how my parents thought me.'' Said Soma.
''The only thing that I ever wanted was for the chef Jooichiro Saibo to taste my cooking someday. I never imagined to be taggled in some sort of rivalry with his son.'' Said Erina.
''Oh yes, life has their weirds ways. My father who is great chef fell madly in love with my mom, who couldn't cook. How is that?" Asked Soma, and that made Erina kiss much more.
Erina and Soma kept kissing for a good 2 minutes. Some moans were heard as the two pretty much stayed with clothes as they make out.
Later
The Polar Star gang return with a bunch load of ingredients and other materials. To organize all that would take 10 people and at least 3 hours.
''Wow, we overdone it this time.'' Said Ryoko tired.
''Yes, we are going to be on the red for a while.'' Said old lady Fumio.
''Let's rest for five minutes before we put everything.'' Said Megumi.
''Sure.'' Said Ryoko.
Zenji who was super tired wanted nothing more to go to his room and sleep for those blessed five minutes. Before he could thing of anything that can make him feel asleep Yuki appeared.
''Hey Zenji. Wanna make out?" Asked Yuki with a whisper.
''Are you nuts?! I don't have strength for that.'' Said him.
''oH come! Are you chicken.'' Said Yuki with a silly face.
''I am not a chicken. You know that I need time.'' Said Zenji.
Yuki and Zenji have been meeting each other and making out for a few weeks now. They haven't announced to their friends because they don't wanna make a big deal. Right now, with the whole Erina thing and new director, a couple announcing was not in everyone mind.
''Sure, but I can I at least hold your hand?" Asked Yumi.
Zenji couldn't help but smile at that. He was blessed with a good girlfriend.
''don't worry. I can compensate for you tonight. We can make a nice dinner at my room later. Its good because everything is…clean.'' Said Zenji.
However once Zenji open the door for his room, he saw Soma and Erina on the same bed. Clothes on, but hickies all over the place. That alone made the two almost have a heart attack.
''What!'' Scream Yumi and Zenji.
The scream was loud enough to wake both Soma and Erina up.
''Ouch my head.'' Said Erina.
''What happened?" Asked Soma.
Upon seeing the person next to each and seeing their clothes all messy and body all shaky, of course Soma and Erina were completely confused over what that hell just happened.
''What…'' Said Soma confused.
Erina was a pile of nervous. She just wanted to scream so she could be heard even from the moon. However, she gulped that fear and instead looked to however waked her up.
''Oh, hi Erina-nee.'' Said Yuki.
''Erina, what are you doing?" Asked Soma all confused.
''get out!'' Scream Erina kicking the red haired boy..
Soma was the first one to go and he didn't know what happened.
''I don't know what happened here. Do you know Zenji?" Asked Soma.
''Huh, lets get you clean first.'' Said him.
However, before Erina could make a hole to hide herself Yuki hold her.
''Wait.'' Said her.
Erina didn't know what the animal lover wanted know.
''Erina-nee, do you wanna talk?" Asked Yuki.
''I don't wanna. Nothing happened.'' Said Erina all red.
Yuki could see that Erina just wanted to hide, but she won't let her do that.
''Look is pretty obvious that you and Soma make out. This is a fact and girl I am the best person that you can talk about it. Come on, how was it?" Asked Yuki.
Erina wasn't all red because of what just happen. It was also because she didn't remember at all.
''I don't…remember.'' Said her all sad.
''Sure. I can tell by that bootle of rice juie that you two were a little out. Lets just hope not too much.'' Said Yuki seeing one of Ryoku rice juices.
''Did we do it?'' Asked Erina all red. The last thing she wanted right now was to get pregnant.
''I don't know. Both are with clothes and no sign of adult themes in this room. I guess it was just the first base.'' Said Yuki with a chuckle.
Erina couldn't help but also chuckle.
''Sure.'' Said Erina.
The rich girl need it to take a shower before someone else find her on this state. Both of them could tell that Soma didn't remember what happened so it was best to leave in silence.
''Thanks for the talk.'' Said Erina with a sincere smile.
''You are welcome. You are now a member of Polar Star. We take care of each other.'' Said Yuki.
''Sure.'' Said Erina.
As the girl was about to leave, she had one last question: What was Yuki planning to do with Zenji?
''By the way. Are you and Zenji…?" Asked Erina.
''We are taking slow. We don't wanna make official, with all the madness all around we just want this to between us.'' Said Yuki.
The rich girl was surprised that even secret romances happen at the Polar Star Dormitory.
''Wow.'' Said Erina.
''Also, I don't wanna give spoilers but Ryoku and Shun have been going out for a while.'' Said Yuki with a wink.
''And those two guys buff guys?" Asked Erina referring to Daigo and Shoji.
''No, suprisly we all thought they had something, but we were wrong. Go figure.'' Said Yuki.
''Oh ok.'' Said Erina.
Yuki soon smile at Erina and help the girl go to the bathroom.
''Dinner will be served in an hour. So, you better go now.'' Said Yuki
''thanks Yuki.'' Said Erina going to the bathroom.
Later
Dinner was served at the dormitory and the students were all happy to see a full table right in front of them. Hisako was there also because she liked to see how Erina was doing from time to time.
''Thanks for the meal.'' Said everyone.
The meal was great mostly thanks to the food that they all got in the market.
''Wow these ingredients are phenomenal.'' Said Soma eating some green beans.
''Yes, Ryoko got us a good deal with the seller.'' Said Yuki.
''Well, me and that shopper know each other for a while.'' Said Ryoko with a smile.
''How do people get so much food with a student budged?" Asked Erina.
''Well…lets just say this dormitory has some deep pockets'' Said Fumio with a smile. Thanks to some connections some former polar stars members were happy to pay for the food.
Erina was also seating there as Shun prepared her plate.
''Here you go Erina. Is that all?" Asked Shun
''Yes. Thanks'' Said her
Erina only ate with peace, but her eyes were always locking to the red harried boy. Judging from how he was acting Soma completely forgot about all the talk and kiss that the two shared in Zenji room. Erina felt a little sad that he didn't remember, but right now with everything that has been happening on Totsuki she will think on that later.
''Miss Erina, is everything ok?' Asked Hisako.
''Yes, it is Hisako. I am just…thinking.'' Said Erina.
The girl kept looking at the boy with a good feeling. She remain true to her role as a ´´God Tongue´´, so it will take a while for Soma to cook something that will definitely, please her. However, Erina thought, maybe it wouldn't be so bad having him make her food for a while. She was starting to like his company and his weird ways.
''Right now, I don't know what I am going to do with my life in school. But if I had to keep leaving in this dormitory…I wont mind. I have a good family and…someone special.' Thought Erina looking happy at Soma.
As the polar Star Dormitory eat their dinner, Erina only laughs and join in the weird talk of the students. Truly, this place was more lively than every restaurant that she ever went.
So, yes. This was a one shot romantic. With no lemon. I think, I did a good job on this one. Sure, is a little cliché in some points, but what can I do? Some romances are like that. At first, I didn't like Erina, because her Tsundere style was always annoying to me. Is strange I found her annoying, but I love Noelle from Black Clover. It was latter when I read her origin that I understood the situation and how she end up like this. Plus, how their parents meet so I can also understand.
