I can't believe it, the last day of school, meaning my first summer ever, Casey said that Summer is the best ever.
Shocket was pretty excited after being awoken by her alarm-clock remembering what today was, the last day ofschool and the first day of Summer breal, making her excitable, as she had neve done before until coming to Terra, getting dressed putting on a black shirt which had her dad's emblem on it along with shorts, debating about wearing shades, putting a paw over her eyes because sun glare stung her beady eyes.
"Yeah, shades it is, dad wears them too, and nobody blows a gasket." she said lookimg in the mirror, looking like one cool kit smirking hearing Casey open her door, impressed by her cousin's outfit, including the purple sunglasses, matching thecolour of her mohawk tapping her gently on her furry shoulder, asnot to scare her.
"Joining us for breakfast or what, you okay?" Casey said.
"Yeah, this is okay to wear, right?" Shocket replied.
Casey understood her anxiety, Summer was new to her, like a whole lot ofthings like friendship and schocolate, including developing superpowers, yet she had gotten used to them, enjoying them so she knew that Shocket would enjoy Summer too.
"Yes your dad and I are wearing shades too, because the sun hurts our eyes too." Casey replied.
After that, they went to join the others for breakfast, relieving Ranger, ! Ranger and Riley, making them pancakes, thinkimg Shocket looked awesome, making Casey and Shocket exchange a smile, sitting down, eating hearing their parentsaskimg if they were excited about Summer seeing them nodding.
"Yeah, despite it being my first one, you know?" Shocket said.
"I know, kiddo, it's gonna be good." Rocket replied to her.
After breakfast, Casey, Kiki and Shocket were going to school, plus Rocket was taking them in the bus he used for Avengers Scouts, making them excitable, hoping the other kids wouldn't make a big deal out of it, plus Casey and Shocket were sitting together whispering and laughing, which was sweet, which Rocket thought sweet, wondering what the heck they were talking about.
When they arrived at school, before getting off, Kiki and Shocket hugged Rocket, before getting off, along with Casey, seeing Billy and Tommy there, wondering what wasgoing on, seeing Kiki joining her grade, as it was her first summer too, knowing there would be adventures knowing their family seeing Casey and Shocket going inside the building with the other kids.
In their classroom, Ms Pryde was handing out report cards making Shocket impressed by her grades, showing Casey, high-fouring her, before they were doing art, about what they hoped to do thissummer, which impressed Shocket seeing Casey's which was of them doing things like adventures and superheroi.
"So, does Raccoon Girl take a break for Summer, or what?" she asked Casey seeing her nod.
"Ssh, don't blow my secret, and yes I do, besides New York is full of heroes, so it is alright, besides I wanna help you with your first Summer." Casey replied to her makimg Shocket smile, revealing baby fangs.
"Holy crutack, one of them is loose, uncle Rockie is gonna be happly!" Casey pointed out.
"Oh yeah, when it comes out, the Tooth Collector takes it and leaves gifts like Santa, my dad told me that." Shocket replied waiting patiently to go outside so they could have a dodgeball tournament which wasone of their ideas, excited hearing Lockey say they could, worried by the stampede which Shocket wasleading, making Kitty chuckle, she knew Shocket was energetic, that recess helped with that hearing dodgeballs making them surprised, seeing the kids were playing dodgeball, using their powers.
"Heck yeah, this rocks, and we're kicking big kid butt!" Shocket said hovering with Casey, giggling as this wasShocket'sbest idea, knowing they couldn't get in trouble as it was the last day of school before Summer.
"Casey, Shocket Raccoon, come down and stop this insanity!" Lockie said.
"Sorry, I turned my ears off!" Shocket said grinning surprised their parents were here, as th principal had been talkimg to them, comimg down onto the black-top makimg the time-out sign with their paws, which they got.
"You're not in trouble, the principal just wanted to talk to us, are you having dodgeball sar, like we taught you?" Ranger said.
"Yep, kicking butt, and usimg our powers, fighting dirty." Shocket said making Rocket chuckle.
The bell ringing made the entire student body excitabld, because school wasover earlh, inclhding Casey and Shocket leavimg with their parents.
"So, we gonna do some bad guy butt kicking?" Rokai asked.
"Nope, I told you, it's Summer and I promised my parents to take a break, besides Shocket needs me." Casey replied in her Summer pyjamas going to Shocket's room as they were having a slumber party, taking her Groot doll with her.
She was impressed entering her cousin's room, noticing her surprised, that she was here, wanting to make a fort, wondering what kids did at these things, making Casey grin, as she was an expert, knowing you stayed up late making Shocket like this giggling which impressed Casey, while building the fort, listening to music, having fun.
"Wow we built a fort castle, which is awesome!" Casey said excitedly.
"Well a slumber party deserves an awesome fortress-" Shocket said.
Casey understood why that happened, because Shocket hadspent the beginning of her life in the Collector's foretress, placing a paw on her furry shoulder making Shocketfeel better, assuring her it wasalright, as they went inside, having fun, treats and just bonding until falling asleep around five in the mor img, when Rocket was checking on them.
He couldn't help but smile seeing them sleeping together, with their snuggle buddies, leaving them be.
