Big thanks to them for letting me in on this idea/challenge.

I have no clue how to write someone punk so this is just me going off of the limited fics I've read that had Percy as a punk.

Stuff in italics are flashbacks

Thalia Grace was nervously shuffling as she waited for the door to open in front of her. She hadn't seen her best friend in over six years ever since her father decided to move the whole family west for the foreseeable future.

Moving to a new state meant new friends, a new school, and a new social life but most importantly? It meant that Percy wasn't there with her. Percy. Gods, she missed him, a part of her desperately wished that they didn't leave things the way they were before she left. He was a constant in her life from preschool to the end of junior year.

Jason was always off doing his things and had a bright career with the LAPD, which she couldn't be more proud of him after telling Jason to follow his own path instead of the one their dad laid out for them.

Percy was there to comfort her after Luke broke up with her during sophomore year. That was probably the only time he got detention for something he did in the years of her knowing him. She remembered asking him why he did what he did and his answer warmed her heart when he told her.

"You're my friend and I don't like seeing you in pain. He hurt you so I kicked his ass even though you were going to do it anyway. Also, I told you so."

She kicked his ass in return for that remark.

Thalia made sure to get in detention with him just so they could spend time together after that, much to her father's displeasure after thorough convincing from her stepmother. It was hard for her to even breathe in the same room as her, let alone decide on a career when her half-siblings' careers ranged from an architect, Olympic archers, classical musician, F1 driver, celebrity jewelry-maker, and a sergeant in the army.

All it took was for her to be compared to the rest of her siblings one last time before she booked the next available flight out from California to New York. Telling her dad was surprisingly easy and he wasn't surprised at all. He let her leave on the promise that she called him twice a month.

She landed in New York at noon. As soon as she landed, her first stop after picking up her rental car was to drive straight to where she remembered Percy's parents lived, hoping that they were still there.

She knocked on the solid oak door, everything on the outside was still the same as she remembered. A few minutes later, Sally Jackson came to the door, her face contorted in confusion and pleasant surprise before a smile settled on her face, pulling Thalia into a tight hug. Sally released Thalia from the hug and looked her over.

"Thalia, It's so good to see you! How have you been?" she exclaimed. Thalia rubbed the back of her neck nervously as she tried to come up with an acceptable answer to the only motherly figure in her life.

"Uhmm…hi, Mrs. Jackson," Thalia replied nervously.

Sally beckoned her into the house, the aroma of baked goods filled the air the moment she entered, Thalia drooled a bit at the smell.

"How are you?" Sally asked as she took a Tupperware container from the open cabinet, placing some of the baked goods inside before repeating it for another container.

Sally sat down, pouring her a glass of water which Thalia took with a small smile.

"I'm doing...well, I suppose," Thalia replied, the answer sounded dirty before she even said it. Sally gave her a knowing smile as she gently grabbed Thalia's hands.

"You know he still misses you. He would probably be happy to see you again. God, he barely looked like himself the first few weeks after you were gone." she told Thalia, a small part of Thalia hoping that they can fall back into being friends even after the time between them.

"He got in a lot more fights after you left. Nothing major but still." Sally noted and Thalia couldn't help but sadly smile at that. She always was the more sensible one between Percy and her. Thalia was more of the 'kick him between the legs or slap her hard' type, while Percy would have probably made you tap out depending on his overall mood.

Thalia spent an hour and a half talking to Sally about her time in California, the brats that lived in the area, the lack of food from Sally which she so dearly missed.

Thalia left Percy's parents' house with two Tupperware full of baked goods (one for her and the other for Percy) and the location of Percy's place upstate.

She drove for half an hour until she reached the address that Sally wrote out for her.

Bringing her to where she is now.

Percy lived just on the outskirts of the city, near upstate but not too far away from the city. She looked around the relatively friendly and quiet neighborhood and at the navy blue SUV parked in Percy's driveway

She stood in front of his door, waiting for him to open it. She heard some shuffling on the inside before the sounds of the opening of the locks attracted her attention again.

The door opened, revealing Percy in all of his sweatpants and graphic-tee glory.

Percy's eyes widened significantly before he composed himself, a stoic look on his face as he looked at Thalia. Thalia still knew him well enough to know that traces of grief and pain lingered in his eyes as soon as he laid his eyes on her, making her wince internally.

She watched as his Adam's apple bobbed up and down as Percy closed his eyes for a few seconds, mumbling something to himself before he looked at her. "Thalia," he spoke, his voice unwavering as he stared at his former best friend.

"Hey, Percy," she replied nervously.

He rubbed the back of his neck uncomfortably. "Come in, I guess." stepping aside to let her in. Thalia nodded, crossing the threshold, taking her shoes off, and setting them on the rack.

Her eyes were caught on that shitty vase sitting on his dining table. She bought that for him as a prank eight years ago, fully expecting him to trash it.

"Want something to drink? I'm afraid I don't have any soy-milk lattes on hand or whatever Californian girls drink," he told her, a bit of sass seeping into his tone despite the rather tense atmosphere.

Thalia had a smirk on her face that disappeared on her face as quickly as it appeared, "Coffee's fine. I still take it the same." watching him disappear away into the kitchen, he walked over to his coffee machine, popping a pod in before closing the lid.

Thalia walked into his living room, taking a seat on the couch. She looked around the room, noticing that most of the shelves and up above the shelf on the fireplace were taken up by pictures, heck, half of the pictures were of Percy and her and the rest were a bunch of their old friends at various events at different stages.

She pulled herself off of the couch, taking a closer look at one particular picture, the picture of Percy and her standing in front of Niagara Falls, their arms around each other and grins on their faces as Jason was mock-gagging in the background. It was taken a month before she dropped the bomb on Percy.

Percy's mom always gave Jason and her a standing invitation to join them on their summer trips each year.

She was brought out of her thoughts when Percy returned with the coffee, setting it onto the wooden coffee table. She gave him an appreciative nod as she took a sip of it, letting the fresh roast fully wake her up before setting it back down.

"So...nice house." Thalia awkwardly commented, rubbing her hands against the side of her legs.

Percy raised an eyebrow at the rather poor conversation starter but decided to humor her for now, "Annabeth helped me redesign this place once I bought it. The previous owners were just trying to sell this place and I offered to take it below the asking price." he said, leaning against the wall as he looked at her.

"It's nice. It suits you. So what are you doing now?" she asked as she picked up her coffee again.

Percy nodded once, "Got my master's degree in engineering. I'm a tech now. What about you?"

"Degree in cybersecurity. Helped my dad with IT stuff before I came here," she replied, setting down her mug.

"Why are you here?" Percy bluntly asked her.

Thalia rubbed the back of her neck nervously, making him raise an eyebrow.

"I just couldn't take it over there. Everyone was so snotty, bratty, and just overall bitches besides the few decent people there. Not to mention my annoying half-siblings and my dad and Hera were way too overbearing." she admitted.

Percy let out a snort. "You never were one to hold your punches when it came to people."

Thalia looked at him, "Neither did you. I missed you."

Percy noticeably stiffened at that before he relaxed and a grim smile took over, "Yeah, I missed you too."

Thalia frowned at his expression, scrunching up her nose, "Then why do you have the expression of five-year-old you when I had a bite of your ice cream?"

"I don't. I'm just remembering the last conversation we had." he quietly said under his breath.

"Oh." Thalia quietly mumbled, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.

Thalia was seriously contemplating leaving since this whole visit turned awkward but her train of thought was broken when 21 Guns by Green Day started playing through Percy's phone.

"Green Day? What happened to My Chemical Romance being the absolute best?" she asked half-heartedly, remembering when Percy and her argued about which was the greatest punk band to exist.

Percy shrugged, "What can I say? Guess I missed Green day more than I thought." he replied as he denied the incoming call and ran his hand down his face, sighing loudly, "Look, I'm sorry for what I said back then. I was angry that you were leaving without telling me right after me telling you that I had a thing for you."

Thalia also apologized, "I'm sorry for what I called you and for slapping you."

Percy shrugged, "You moved on and I didn't want to be a hindrance to you when you hated me." he said as he wiped the corner of his eyes. "Part of me wanted to accept that LSU offer just for the slim chance at seeing you but I decided against it. Jason said that you were doing well and I didn't want to ruin that for you," he told her.

Thalia was going to kick Jason's ass the next she saw him for hiding the fact that he still kept in contact with Percy.

Thalia walked closer to Percy and slapped him across the face, pulling herself against Percy's chest as she shook her head, "I don't hate you. I really don't want us to leave where we did but I want to stop with this thing we have going on that's unnamed because we don't know what this is."

"Yeah, me as well," he said, still confused as to what just happened.

"Can we still give it a shot?" Thalia asked him nervously, part of her was relieved when Percy wrapped his arms around her.

He maneuvered them so that she was sitting in his lap, his head against hers. "I would be an idiot to say no," he said as he twirled a strand of her hair between his fingers.

Percy saw the widest grin he's seen on Thalia appear on her face, "That's good." burrowing herself against him once more.

Thalia and Percy held each other for a while until Thalia pulled back, flicking his ears, "So, is Green Day better than MCR?" Thalia asked with a cheeky grin.

"Maybe," he replied, looking down at her with a smirk, "I think you might have slapped me a little too hard because I don't ever remember saying that."

"You're such a shitty liar and a jackass." slapping his chest lightly.

"Well, if I'm reading this correctly, I'm your jackass," he noted, much to her amusement as Thalia let out a snort.

Percy looked at his door, "You have your stuff in the car?" he asked and Thalia nodded.

"Did you book a hotel?" he asked and Thalia shook her head sheepishly, pouting at Percy.

"Let me get this straight...you willingly left California in an attempt to reconcile with us, but you didn't think about where you would be staying? What if your plan didn't work out?" he asked, confusion on his face.

"It was going to work out and it was either me talking to you like I am now or seduce you until you forgive me. Were you really going to make your new girlfriend spend money on a hotel room?" she asked as she poked him in the chest firmly.

Percy had a grin on his face, "I suppose it depends on what we're using that hotel room for." he whispered.

Thalia spluttered, red-faced before she looked at him, "Maybe much later and after you've bought me food. I'm hungry," she mumbled out.

He rolled his eyes, "Come on, we'll get burgers after we move your bags into the guest room, then you can tell me your amazing tale of how you managed to board a plane when you're deathly afraid of heights," he said as he lightly shoved her off of him.

"Wait, if you talked to my mom before you got here, does that mean you also have cookies?" he asked, his foot tapping repeatedly on the carpet in anticipation.

Thalia had a sly grin on her face, "You'll find out if you help me with my stuff." laughing as Percy grabbed her hand and rushed to the door.

Half an hour later

Thalia was finishing putting all of her stuff into the drawers of the guest room when Percy walked in wearing ripped jeans, a black short-sleeve with crossbones, and his leather jacket. he set down two full-face motorcycle helmets, one black and the other a dark grey on the bed.

"You done?" he asked with a small grin, watching her move around the room.

"What about your other stuff?" he asked as he remembered that she only came to his house with her suitcase and her duffel bag.

Thalia shrugged, "I could always have Jason ship the stuff to me but it's not like I left much of my stuff back there. Hera didn't allow me to have any of my posters up, basically fought me over my sense of style. You know that I had to go to a private school because that hag enrolled me in it?!" throwing her arms up at the memory of her being deprived of her leather jacket. "I had to wear a skirt!"

Percy walked over to her, wrapping his arms around her midsection as he played with her earrings, patting her head in mock-sympathy, "You poor poor soul. I'm sure you would have looked hot in it."

Thalia nodded as she turned to face him, "Actually, I was smoking hot and I'll have you know that almost every guy thought that I looked hot." laughing at Percy's sour expression as she patted him on the cheek. "What's with the helmets?" as she spotted them on her bed.

Percy handed her the grey helmet, "We're going out for food." taking her hand in his as he walked down the stairs.

After getting their shoes on, the July heat hitting them like a freight train as they stepped outside. Thalia's eyes widened at the black Yamaha cruiser parked in front of them, "When did you get a motorcycle!" she yelled out as she ran towards it, practically drooling over it.

"My dad got it for me as a belated present before he got deployed again," he told her, pulling the keys out of his pocket as he locked the door behind them and walked towards the motorcycle.

"Can I drive it?" Thalia asked. Percy shook his head as he slapped his helmet on and motioned for her to do the same.

"No way." turning the ignition on and revved the engine. He pulled his phone out from the inside pocket of his jacket and handed it to her, "Pick a song. It'll play in the helmets." he told her at the confused look her face took on.

She took the phone from him, opening up his Spotify, tapping on the playlist that they both made for their favorite punk songs. She handed him back his phone with a grin as When I Come Around by Green Day started playing.

"Interesting choice of song," he noted, slipping his gloves on.

"It seemed fitting for the occasion." he nodded along to the song and to her assessment.

Thalia took the seat behind him as she wrapped her arms around his midsection as they took off from his driveway with a rumble and headed towards the town.

Two months later

"You want to get matching tattoos?" Percy asked as he walked down the stairs. They talked last night before they went to bed and Thalia brought up tattoos and getting one together, but Percy zoned out about halfway because of overtime at work, falling asleep with his head in her lap.

Thalia still resided in the guest room but only if she came home late. It wasn't uncommon for one of them to migrate over to the other person's bed after work. Thalia scored a job with one of the cybersecurity companies in the city and at a comfortable position from the start due to her degree and prior experience. Her working in the city meant that she needed to get a car on the days that she actually needed to physically go in. Percy didn't mind letting her drive his car since he usually took his motorcycle to work during the spring and summer but he took his 4Runner once the fall and winter rolled around.

"Yeah," Thalia said, her face covered by her unusually large mug as she chugged her coffee, his shirt went down to the middle of her thigh so that her legs were exposed.

"Alright." he shrugged. "Your car or mine?" he asked as he pulled the pancake batter out of the cabinet, taking a pan out.

Thalia walked up to him, slipping in the space between the stove and himself and a smirk on her face as she wrapped her arms around his midsection, "We can figure that out after we continue what we started in the shower." tilting his head down so that she could kiss him.

"You're going to have to wait for your pancakes then," Percy mumbled against her lips.

"I'm willing to wait for it."

Percy and Thalia stepped out of the tattoo parlor, their tattooed skin covered in plastic wrap.

Percy got a tattoo of Thalia's name underneath a stylized pine tree on his left pec, a callback to when Thalia got herself stuck on a tree and didn't want to get down so Percy climbed up so she wouldn't be alone as the adults helped her get down. Thalia got a tattoo of seaweed and a tidal wave that spelled his name out on her right ankle.

What started as getting matching tattoos, ended up with them getting half-sleeves as well, Percy on his upper right arm and Thalia on her left forearm.

Percy leaned over to kiss her on the lips as she looked at him while he stuffed one of his hands into his pockets, "Wanna take a walk around town?" he asked her, receiving a nod from Thalia.

A few of the elderly that they passed by gave them disapproving looks because of the tattoos and the rather vulgar words on their shirts but Percy and Thalia didn't care and made out rather intensely in the alleyway between the shops and restaurants.

"I think we gave a few of them heart attacks," he mentioned in passing.

The two stopped at the nearby bar, getting some food. A few teenagers, barely out of high school judging by first-impressions, were eyeing Thalia, and the jean-shorts that were barely covering her ass, much to Percy's irritation and Thalia's amusement did nothing to help. She fully knew what she was doing to him and was reveling at the jealousy rolling off of him.

Percy had a scowl on his face the entire time as they ate. Thalia had her back turned to the group so they didn't see her shit-eating grin as she had to stifle a laugh at Percy's changing facial expressions as he observed them with a glare.

One of the blonde teens that reminded Percy of Luke stood up, approaching Thalia with a grin and ignoring Percy's death-glare though Percy could see a bead of sweat rolling down the person's forehead as he tried to burn a hole through him. "You wouldn't happen to be single, would you?" the guy asked, wincing at how Thalia rolled her eyes.

"Holy shit, that is terrible," Percy mumbled against his hands.

The guy looked at Percy angrily, "And who the hell are you supposed to be?"

Percy rolled his eyes, "The guy that can tape you upside down the flagpole and use your head as a soccer ball. Why don't you sit back down before I make you." he promised.

"He's my boyfriend," Thalia added in, walking over to Percy and plopping herself down in his lap as she delivered a lingering kiss on his lips, "And he is very good at making me happy." a smirk on Percy's face as he started kissing down Thalia's neck.

The guy's face reddened in anger as his friends back at the table laughed at him, "Bitch." he spat out.

Percy's head poked up from Thalia's neck and his gaze narrowed, Thalia stood up with a confused and pitiful expression before she kicked him right between the legs, the guy bent over as he choked on his spit, clutching his junk. Percy walked right up to him, grabbing his arm aggressively as he twisted it backward and held the guy in a rear-naked choke, walking back towards the table the guy came from as his friends looked at Percy and Thalia warily.

Percy flung him into the booth and right into his friends, "My girlfriend doesn't take any shit and I fucking love it!" he shouted enthusiastically. "Also, next time you say that again, I'll drown you in a toilet," he whispered. He walked back to Thalia and dropped a few bills on the table as they left.

Thalia made sure to laugh at his expression until they got home, which at that point is when clothes were aggressively flung off of each other.

Six months later

"I still can't believe you did this," Thalia said to Percy, scrolling through her phone as she sat in the passenger seat in excitement.

They were on their way to a Green Day concert courtesy of one of Percy's presents to her. The first being a surprisingly nice set of earrings and the other was two tickets to the concert.

Percy rolled his eyes as he maneuvered his car into another lane, "You've been saying that every few hours for the past week, babe. You should believe it by now." he said as the traffic slowly pushed towards Madison Square Garden.

"Did I mention that those were VIP tickets for backstage after?"

Having Thalia next to him while she let out a rather loud squeal at the revelation wasn't a good idea on his part.

Percy learned something new that night. Thalia can possibly shatter his eardrums by how loud she screams as he was constantly rubbing his ears even after the concert was over, Thalia almost passed out after meeting them.

Definitely worth it for both of them though.

One year later

Vegas

"You know our parents are going to be pissed right?" Thalia said as she and Percy were laying in bed.

"At not getting an invite or because we eloped and got married to Green Day?" he asked, rolling onto his side to look at her.

"Bit of both," she replied, pushing Percy back down as she partly laid on top of him.

Percy had a smirk on his face, "Do we care?" he asked with an eyebrow raised. Thalia leaned up to kiss him.

"Not really and besides, we'll all have something to look forward to in about eight months," she said with a smile, something that Percy returned wholeheartedly.

"I'm getting the kid his first leather jacket and spiked boots," Percy told her as he kissed her temple. A slight smile fell on Thalia's face as she imagined Percy taking their kid shopping for their first leather jacket.

"Love you," she mumbled out as sleep was about to overtake her.

"Love you too," he whispered as he kissed her again, wrapping his arms around her as he gently rubbed the slight bump on Thalia's midsection.

Good thing their phones were on silent or they would have seen their phones blowing up from the mass amounts of messages and missed calls from their friends and family after they saw their post on social media.
