A World Without Charlie Brown (Part 6)
CHAPTER 1: WOODSTOCK'S ARRIVAL
Woodstock had made it to the Brown's home in Kansas City. He was pretty exhausted from all the flying that he did, but was still glad he finally made it to Snoopy's new home. As he flew over to the backyard, he spotted Snoopy on his doghouse laying on top of it as he always did. He flew down and sat on his stomach. Snoopy let out a giggle as it tickled a bit. He looked up to see his little friend there.
"Woodstock!" he said through his thoughts. "You made it!"
"||||||||||||!" chirped Woodstock happily.
"I'm so glad you made it, little friend of friends!" At that moment, Claudette came by.
"Hey, Snoopy," she greeted. "Is that Woodstock you've been telling me about?"
"Yes, this is my best bud Woodstock," said Snoopy giving the introductions. "Woodstock, this beautiful beagle is Claudette. She stays next door to us."
"Finally nice to meet you, Woodstock," said Claudette.
"||||||||," said Woodstock, shaking her hand. Charlie Brown walked outside to grab Snoopy's supper dish.
"Snoopy, your supper will be ready in- WOODSTOCK?!" Charlie Brown was surprised to see the bird there with Snoopy. Woodstock chirped happily seeing Charlie Brown.
"So you've finally made it here to Kansas City, huh?" said Charlie Brown. Woodstock nodded. "Well I know Snoopy here is happy that you're here with him finally. Anyway, Snoopy, I'm about to make your supper. I'll leave you guys to catch up for a bit." And Charlie Brown went into the house to prepare Snoopy's supper.
After coming inside, Sally walked up to Charlie Brown as he was preparing Snoopy's supper. "What's all the commotion out there, big brother?" she asked.
"Woodstock has just arrived, Sally," he replied. "Snoopy is catching up with him now. Claudette is also getting to know him."
"Well, at least Snoopy has friends he can hang out with, just like you," sulked Sally.
"Are you still having trouble at school, Sally?" asked Charlie Brown.
"I am! While the ton of homework every night doesn't help, for once it's the least of my problems. Those awful kids are still making fun of me! I just can't seem to do ANYTHING right!"
"Looks like it runs in the family," Charlie Brown thought to himself.
"Those bullying kids keep claiming the benches at lunch theirs," Sally continued to rant. "They even claim the ones they don't even sit at!"
"Back at Birchwood, my only problem was not having anyone to sit and have lunch with, like the little red-haired girl; never anyone kicking me off a bench."
"I actually wish I had your problem back in Sparkyville, big brother! At least folks left you alone, aside from some teasing from Violet, Patty, and Lucy, but they never would kick you off a bench and prevent you from enjoying your lunch! And if that wasn't enough, they try to pick fights with me on the playground, after school, if I'm not with you, they trip me and push me!" Sally was near tears at that point. "As much as you got teased back in Sparkyville, aside from the occasional slug from Lucy, it never got physical with you! These kids are out for blood with me! I HATE KANSAS CITY!" And Sally ran to her room crying. Charlie Brown sighed.
"And I thought I had it bad back in Sparkyville," he said to himself. He went out to feed Snoopy before doing his homework.
