Chapter 1

Sitting in the gazebo Rory turned to her mom before saying what had been on her mind

"Mom, I'm pregnant" Rory said struggling to find the courage to tell her mom

Lorelai just stared at Rory after that bombshell, She needed time to process this news.

"I'm going to be a grandma?" She asked just double checking she heard that right.

"Yeah! Although I can't see you wanting to be called Grandma might make you feel older" Rory joked

"Hey..." she looked hurt by that "Hang on, Father?"

"I think you know...'Didi'" Rory looked down when she said that but who can blame her mom for asking. It's only fair she who it was" I barely ever see...PAUL oh my god is he forgettable! We never even you know"

" Aww not the Wookiee! Or Pete, Paul! I thought you ended it with Logan though?"

Rory said nothing she was ashamed because her relationship with Logan for the past few years had technically been cheating.

"Rory!?!" Her mother looked at her daughter with a quizzical look on her face.

"Mom...I... you won't approve."

"Tell me please" Lorelai said while pouting

Rory huffed but started

" A few years ago I bumped into Logan in London, we had stayed in touch a little after Yale but not a lot so it was a little odd, anyway we got to chatting had some linch and may of had a few to many... if you know what I mean" She paused for a second to catch her breath

Lorelai looked at her daughter waiting for her to continue

"That night we sorta slept together but made this weird Vegas agreement, it felt right at the time seeing as I had Paul. Basically since then I stayed with him at his place whenever I was there and not in New York. So this kept going on for a while until he met Odette." She stopped again for a breather and the continued " They weren't ever really to together but they got engaged after a while to please their parents. It was fine for a while I knew about her but she was in a different country half the time so I never saw her! Don't look at me like that!" Giving a hard stare at her mother "I told you I had a friend named Didi I stayed with in London because I didn't think you would like it or approve"

"Of course not" Lorelai quickly butted In

"Okay, can I continue?" Rory asked

"YES!!!" There was no hesitation to Lorelai's response

"Thank you! Now up until recent months this went on as normal, but Odette moved in with Logan recently so I could no longer stay there when in the city because of her - we still talked - however after our fight I went over to lanes to calm down but It was like my brain had been hardwired to go in to auto pilot and I 'accidentally' kept on calling him and hanging up, Lane tried to help me and took my phone and talked to Logan for me but it didn't matter because he wanted to talk to me by that point. This goes on a little while and he asks me what's wrong, I think I started to worry him with the way I was acting, but he pauses to go outside as she comes home. That moment I realised I can't come to him whenever I needed and was going to have to cope another way so I decided to end it with him over the phone" Rory looked down to hide her tears

"Ouch! I'm sorry kid" Lorelai sensed a but though "But..."

"But..." imitating her mother's but "he didn't like the way that we left things want soon after came to visit here in Stars Hollow with the boys. We hit golf balls across rooftops, broke in and bought stuff from Dooses Market, then we watch Kirks movie before hitting the road. We ended up at a Tango club , And no before you ask I did not dance I suck at dancing, he offered me his families house so I go and write my book. Then went to a British Bed and Breakfast. Finn was a little drunk and kept on tourmentent the heads on the walls." Rory grinned at this memory "They bought out the entier place for us Logan gave me a key to a room but I asked to see his..." She was once again interrupted.

"I do not need to know that! YUCK!!!" Lorelai face looked like it had sucked a lemon "You know Taylor is still trying to find the cold blooded vandals who committed those atrocious crimes, after all this is Stars Hollow! Ever going to tell him?"

"Mom...Hell no Taylor will still be hunting till he dies!" This made up her chuckle to herself before she gave her mom a hard look before sharply inhaling and continuing "Anyway I woke up early and so I was thinking looking out the window when Logan woke up, I gave him back the key to his families house saying I knew where I wanted to write and didn't want it. Then I decided to say goodbye and head home knowing full well that they had more things planned but I knew if I stayed I never would have left EVER! Sorry" She kinda regretted saying that last bit

"That's okay kid"

"Basically we ended on better terms than we did over the phone I had fun that night" Rory was almost in tears now. A hand was suddenly rubbing her back in a soothing motion it helped.

"That was a tough thing to do I'm proud of you. Just one question why?"

"Why..." Rory was puzzled

"Why did you agree to the Vegas plan it's very clear you still like him"

"Because I had Paul we were both travelling a lot and wanted something casual and yea I think I do..." her voice trailed off hearing...

"Coffee for you and coffee for you" Luke kissed his now wife

"Thanks dear" taking the coffee and planting a kiss on Lukes lips "Right let's head home"

"I second that" Rory said getting up taking the coffee from Luke even tough she had had her coffee quota for the day. She didn't want to raise any suspicions by declining coffee.

The next morning when Rory woke up she pulled out her laptop to do some work on the book but when she saw a picture of Logan pop up it caused her to instead book a plane ticket and hotel using some of her trust fund she never ever used before! I hope this is a good idea she thought to herself.

Smelling breakfast she got up and went to the kitchen where Luke and Lorelai were

"Just letting you guys know tomorrow I'm going to go to London" she said before sitting

"Need a ride?"

"Please!" Ending that particular conversation after looking at her mom she didn't want to tell anyone else till Logan knew
