"Luke," Anakin speaks in Vader's voice, "help me take this mask off." Free me from my ways. Bring me back to the light.

"But you'll die..." the younger of the two Skywalker's pleads his father, gazing into the bug-like shield that hides Anakin's face. Only death can save you from the dark side. Like Ahsoka on Mortis, turned dark but brought back by death.

"Nothing can stop that now," Ahsoka, the dark man thinks, my padawan, my friend, my sister, is she safe? Is she alright?

"Just for once, let me look on you with my own eyes," the dying man struggles to breath as Luke nods understandingly.

My son does not understand. He did not know me before I turned weak and fell to the dark. But his eyes are blue like hers. Yes, she would understand. Ahsoka.

The helmet is removed by Luke's surprisingly steady hands. He is curious, like her, but lacks experience and the wisdom that comes from reflection on your own actions.

I wonder if they have met? After all, I failed to strike my apprentice down.

The face shield is removed and for the first time in many years, Anakin looks into the eyes of a fellow person and feels complete.

I forgot this feeling. I am not alone. I can see my son now. He has grown powerful and strong with the force but he is kind and patient. Obi-wan, you taught him well before I took you from him.

"Now," Anakin speaks for the first time with his own voice, "go, my son!"

Don't hold on to that which puts you in danger. Remember me, learn from my mistakes, move on like Ahsoka did. She saved herself from the dark by being brave. Now you must keep the light going too. Leave behind your mistakes, leave behind the evil and the dark.

"Leave me!"

"No, you're coming with me! I'll not leave you here. I've got to save you." Luke begs his father. Anakin thinks again of his padawan and some of her last words to him. I will not leave you! Not this time.

What could he say? Anakin knew his fate. He would die along with the empire that he served so blindly for most of his life. At least he would die knowing that the light had won and Luke had been saved from Anakin's own rage. Luke was a well of the light side so strong that he had pulled his father back.

That is when Anakin realized he was not angry about his death, but full of joy that he could become one with the light that he had severed all connection with.

He did not hate Luke or the Emperor or any of the people that had caused him pain. Anakin surprised himself in that moment by not hating himself, even after everything he had done.

Anakin was not suffering as he was before. He was at peace.

"You already have, Luke. You were right," I am one with the light again. I have left the dark behind, "you were right about me."

Ahsoka was right about me on Malachor. She saw the light when I couldn't.

Using all the energy he has left, the older jedi reached out through the force one last time.

Ahsoka.

"Tell your sister you were right."

Ahsoka, you were right.

"Father?"

A distant and familiar voice fills Anakin's senses. Master?

"I won't leave you!"

Ahsoka, I'm sorry I left you.

The voice again, Anakin? Is that you?

See you around, Snips.

A/n: This is my first upload and I'm super excited but also scared. I'm working on a longer Kung Fu Star Wars Rebels AU thing so I figured I should try uploading something smaller first. Please live comments and constructive feedback!
