Valor
noun
Great courage in the face of danger, especially in battle.
There was a harsh truth that he had been forced to realize. Not all people are created equal. He got to thinking after that, and realized that enough though that was the case, some people can level the playing field. He would become one of those people Izuku's father had left long before his first real, long lasting memories. Izuku never cared. His mom was home every day to take him to school and watch him look at the more common quirk descriptions online, wondering what he would get. She was the picture of a stay-at-home mom, taking him to play with Kacchan when he asked and always keeping him safe.
When Kacchan's quirk came in with a bang, Izuku had been even more excited at the prospect of his own quirk showing up when his own birthday came. Instead, he got a set of neon green highlighted but mostly silver blades and answers. He never went to a quirk doctor. He never got told he was Quirkless but both he and his mother knew. Izuku learned under his mother's tutelage for two years, getting stronger, faster, more observant. On paper, that was his quirk. Observance. In reality, he was a Quirkless vigilante-in-training, learning on the weekends about first aid and combat, though never out on the rooftops.
When Izuku turned six he was allowed to help his mother create his own suit, one of a dark cyan color and a charcoal grey with the Valor Guard insignia in an electric/neon blue color over his heart. A year later he turned seven. Izuku Midoriya was the next in a long line of guards over Musutafu, and that night was the night he truly became Chaton- The French word meaning 'Kitten'.
