Posted it last week but took it off to fix some mistakes still not happy with it but have put it back on.
Steve wasn't going to accept the governor's offer to run a task force when he came back to Hawaii for his dad's funeral but the more the governor told him about the role, he changed his mind and decided to accept the role saying that he wanted to investigate his dad's death.
Before Steve went to his dad's house to look around he decided to go out to the jungle to shift into his jaguar form knowing due to the area being protected for shifters to run he would be safe to run. After spending some time running he went to his dad's house and was looking around the garage, when he heard a noise, which made him shift into a tiger.
Danny had been given the case to investigate the murder of former detective John McGarrett and was having a look at the crime scene when he heard a noise in the garage, after going into the garage he was growled at by a tiger.
"Shift back so we can talk as humans." Yelled Danny
Steve shifted back "Who are you and what are you doing in my father's house." Asked Steve
"I'm detective Danny Williams I'm investigation your father's death and you can't be hear it's a crime scene."
"The governor gave me a task force to investigate these type of murders and my father's case is my first investigation so I can be here." Replied Steve "and I already know who murdered my father, his name is Victor Hesse."
"No one told me you are investigating the case, my captain gave me the case to investigate so I'll go back to my captain to let him know you are investigating the case and I'll get a new case." Replied Danny
"Since you have been doing some of the investigation you can assist me with the case and join my task force." Replied Steve
"Okay I will assist you with the case but won't be joining your task force." Replied Danny
"You will be joining the task force detective Williams because I will be going to your captain to let him know I will have you on my task force."
"Fine since you're not giving me a choice after I had another look at the crime scene I was going to see Fred Doran." Said Danny
"Who is Fred Doran?"
"His someone who sold the gun that was used at the crime scene."
"Okay let's go there now and see what he will tell us about Hesse." Said Steve
After they got to Doran's place he shot Danny in the arm and ran with Steve chasing him, after Doran took a hostage Steve said he just wanted to know where Hesse was, Danny came up behind them and killed Doran.
While Danny was having his arm checked by the paramedics Steve was checking the house, where he found a girl. When he got her up to start leaving the house she turned into a ferret. Steve gave her to one of the officers to keep an eye on her and then went to Danny.
"Why did you have to shoot our only suspect?" Yelled Steve
"You do know you're supposed to say thank you when someone saves your life and if I didn't shoot him then you would be dead instead." Replied Danny
Steve just gave Danny an angry look and stalked off to the car. "Hey where are you going?"
I'm going to take you to the hospital to get your arm checked." Replied a confused Steve
"My arm is fine Steve the paramedics checked it and said it was just a graze and have bandaged it, it should be healed soon."
After they got in the car and started to drive Danny asked where they were going. "We need to get information on where Hesse would go so we should go see a friend of mine who might know, his name is Chin Ho Kelly and he used to be with HPD and left after they accused him of stealing money, which he didn't." Said Steve.
"I've heard of Chin and agree with you that he wouldn't take the money, do you think he would know about Hesse if his not in the force anymore." Asked Danny
"If he doesn't he would still know CI's who would speak to him. Replied Steve
When they got to Chin's work they couldn't see him so asked the worker who said he was on a break and was out flying and should be back soon if they wanted to wait for him.
"So if Chin's out flying does that mean his an aves?" Asked Danny. "Yes replied Steve he loves flying."
They waited for about 10 minutes until a harpy eagle flew down next to the door and went inside to the back of the shop where Steve and Danny followed and waited until Chin came out of the back room.
"Hey Chin this is detective Danny Williams who is helping me investigate my father's death can we asked you about some information."
Hello Steve, nice to meet you Danny I don't think I would be able to help you Steve."
"Chin I want you on my task force because I know you didn't steal the money because my dad trusted you and stayed friends with you after you left the force and he would of known if you had stolen it." Said Steve
"Okay Steve only if you're sure and I have a CI that I would be able to speak to, to help with the information we would need." Said Chin
After Chin got the information from his CI, they checked the information on Sang Min and decided that they need someone to go undercover, which Chin said his cousin Kono was about to graduate the academy and they could go speak with her.
When they were following Chin to where Kono was surfing Steve decided to ask Danny a question.
"So what is your species of shifts?" Asked Steve
"They are feline and canine." Answered Danny "What are yours."
"Feline, aves and marine mammals." Replied Steve
When they got to Kono she agreed to help and after they got Sang Min, he told them that he had arranged for Hesse to leave on a ship.
Steve was driving the police car towards the ship where Hesse was. "I'm going to warn you Danny, Hesse is a feline."
When they got to the ship Steve found Hesse and chased after him and was fighting him, when Hesse shifted into a lion and tried to bite Steve's arm when he managed to get his gun, which he had dropped and took a shot at Hesse. Danny had managed to take down a suspect and was handcuffing him when he saw Steve was in trouble so also took a shot at Hesse with both of their shots hitting and Killing Hesse at the same time.
Danny got Steve by his uninjured arm and started dragging him towards the ambulance that had just pulled up. "Danny why are you taking me to the ambulance we have a job to do" "You are getting your arm checked because that it a bad bite Hesse did and the paramedics will decide if you need the hospital." Interrupted Danny "Kono and Chin have just arrived and will help me to close the case and to let HPD know what happened."
After they closed the case Steve met them at headquarters after having his arm checked at the hospital so they could have celebration beers.
"While we are having our beers what shifts are you all." Asked Kono using the excuse she wanted to get to know everyone. "I'm feline, marine mammals and arboreal animals." Steve and Danny told them what there shifts are.
"I'm canine, arboreal animals and aves." Replied Chin
When they finished their beers they went home with Steve saying they should meet at his house the next day so they can decide on a day they can shift together.
