Neptunia Nep’s and Gear’s One-Shots, a hyperdimension neptunia fanfic

Hey! This is a small one-shot about a joke! That's all.

"Hey, hey, hey! Histy!" Neptune spoke up. It was early morning and Histoire looked at her with confusion. She has purple hair and matching eyes, wears an oversized white hoodie, blue and white sock, and lilac with blue and white accent shoes. She was just sitting on a chair and eating her breakfast.

"Yes? What is it, Neptune?" Histoire, a small fairy, asked though she had a small feeling she knew what it was.

"Well~!" Neptune gave off a huge grin. "There was this joke I found online and—!"

"Please stop, Neptune." Histoire interrupted her. She didn't want her morning ruined. "I will not make you—!"

"Come on Histy! Please!" Neptune pleaded. "It's just one joke! Nothing more!"

"Only one joke?" Histoire asked skeptically. She didn't believe Neptune for a second. Histoire knew there was a catch to this.

"Yep!" Neptune replied with the same huge grin as before. "But you promise to not interrupt me, okay?"

Histoire sighed as she shook her head. There was no escaping this, wasn't it? "Okay… What is this joke?"

"Okay! So a guy walks in a bar and asks for a drink…" Neptune told the joke like she did a few times before.

"Okay and…"

"The bartender said 'I'll give you a drink if you tell a meta-joke.'" Neptune poorly mimicked a male's voice as she was still grinning before she continued the joke. "So then the guy replied 'Okay! So a guy walks in a bar and asks for a drink."

Histoire slowly knew what the joke was but didn't want to say it out loud. However, she felt every need to say it.

"'The bartender said ''I'll give you a drink if you tell a meta-joke.'" Neptune was still grinning as she repeated the joke again. "'So then the guy replied 'Okay! So a guy walks in a bar and asks for a drink.'"

Suddenly, that proved what that joke was! Suddenly, Histoire's face went from interest to absolute fear.

"The bartender said 'I'll give you a drink if you tell a meta-joke.'" Neptune continued on. "So then the guy replied 'Okay! So a guy walks in a bar and asks for a drink. The bartender said ''I'll give you a drink if you tell a meta-joke.' So then the guy replied 'Okay! So a guy walks in a bar and asks for a drink…"

This went on forever and ever (about 15 times). Histoire didn't know that she could take it anymore. The more Neptune repeated that phrase, the little patience that Histoire had. And before she even was about to interrupt her…

"Okay so a guy walks in a bar and asks for a drink." Neptune grinned. "The bartender said 'Here you go.'" That's when Histoire sighed, it was over… she didn't have to hear…

"So he gives the guy a drink."

That is when Histoire just cracked. She didn't really expect Neptune to repeat it over and over (though she should have expected this since this is Neptune that was talking) and somehow…

"So, what do you think?" Neptune asked, with that same grin on her face.

"Neptune…" Histoire muttered in a very low tone.

"Yes?"

"If you start working right now, I won't give you won't another lecture…" Histoire muttered with a tone that sounded like she lost all of her patience.

"Oh come on, Histy!" Neptune whined. "It was a good joke, right?"

"Alright…" Histoire looked at her with a very angry look on her face. "So a CPU should…"

"Yep! That's when I should leave!" Neptune frantically fell off her chair and immediately left. This made Histoire sighed in relief. Although it was quiet, there was that phrase that kept repeating over and over. That's when…

"Hey… um… Histoire?" Nepgear spoke up, catching Histoire's attention. "Where's Neptune? There's something I need to tell her."

"Yes? What is it?" Histoire asked, looking at Nepgear with a curious look on her face. "Neptune's at work so could relay the message to me?"

"Um… Okay!" Nepgear nodded before looking like she was trying to recall something. "Let's see if I can recall this… So a guy walks in a bar…"

And that's all for now! This was something that popped into my head randomly so I wrote this. I'm still rewriting NextDimension Sapphire's chapters (which are just OCs based on newer gen consoles put into a Re;birth 1/2 situation) As for the joke, it just popped into my head as well but this I remember a video about this.
