"Theo, get down! You're gonna hurt yourself!" Scott called to the boy in the tree.

"No, no, no. I've got this." He yelled back, continuing his climb.

"Theo, seriously? It's just a football!" Stiles said.

"This is the first real fun we've had in a long time!" Theo yelled. "I'm not giving it up. I am getting this ball down. We aren't finished yet."

Scott had to admit that Theo's hard working spirit had him impressed, but he still had a bad feeling about it. Theo seemed to know what he was doing. He reached the ball, grabbed it and tossed it down. Then he made his way back towards the ground.

However, things quickly took a turn for the worse. Theo missed a step and slipped. Scott saw the panic flare in his eyes as he realized what was happening and then he went staring to the ground. He tried to reach out to control the fall, hoping he'd be able to land hands first. And he did, unfortunately just way too hard. He heard a pop and a crack, and then felt the immediate pain, which made him yell and grunt.

"Oh my god!" Scott yelled, kneeling new to the boy who was clutching his arm for dear life. He saw the deformed shoulder under the shirt and held his breath for a short while. Theo's eyes were shut so hard, that tears squeezed out under the lids.

"Stiles! Call my mom! I think his shoulder is dislocated!"

Stiles didn't hesitate to grab his phone and dial the number. Once he reached Melissa, he explained the situation. Melissa asked him a bunch of questions which he then asked Scott.

"She says that we need to get him to the car and drive him to the ER. She'll meet us there."

Scott nodded and helped Theo up from the ground. He guided him to the car and helped him get in the back. He decided to not buckle Theo up, to spare his shoulder from any pressure.

Stiles drove as fast as he could, only getting nervous as Theo winced and grunted in the back. He really lost it when a sob escaped Theo.

"Oh my god, he's crying." Stiles said freaking out.

"It's fine, Stiles. Focus on driving. Theo, we're almost there. Just hold on a little longer."

When they finally reached the hospital, Theo was trying his hardest to just breathe through the pain. Melissa and another nurse came running out with a stretcher, opening the car door and gently guiding Theo onto the stretcher.

"We've got it from here, boys." Melissa said and thanked them. She grabbed Theo's hand and squeezed it reassuringly while walking next to the moving stretcher.

"Hi honey. I need you to rate your pain from one to ten okay?"

"Ten! Definitely ten!" Theo sobbed out. Melissa noticed his breathing picking up and getting more panicked when they entered the hospital.

"Calm down baby. You're safe here. You're safe with me." She comforted, yet Theo still had a hard time getting a fold of himself. These surrounding reminded him too much of the dread doctors and they weren't even that similar.

The other nurse wheeled him to a room where they moved him to a bed.

"Page an orthopedic doctor. I'm gonna give him some orphenadrine." Melissa said.

"What's that?" Theo asked anxiously.

"It's a muscle relaxant, honey. Don't worry. You'll be fine." She soothed. He let go of his hand and prepared a few syringes.

"No! No! Get away from me!" He panted out, seeing the needles. Melissa grabbed his hand again and shushes him.

"It's okay. It's okay. Listen to me Theo. Listen. It's three pokes. You're gonna feel much better afterwards. It's gonna make the entire treatment much easier and comfortable, okay? It's okay."

Theo nodded a little. Melissa smiled to him.

"I'm gonna cut your shirt up, okay?"

Theo nodded. She cut it open and pulled it off. She then gently moved Theo to his side. She wiped the skin around the shoulder clean and talked him through the entire process. He winced at the shots but as the muscles relaxed, the pain also decreased.

"Okay honey. That's it. Now we just have to wait for a doctor to come and help relocate it. It won't be long now."

Melissa took a seat beside the bed, took Theo's hand and gently rubbed the back of it with her thumb.

"Hello. Let's get that shoulder back in place, shall we?" The doctor asked as he entered. He snapped on a pair of gloves and walked to the bed. Melissa placed her hand on the side of Theo's head and turned it towards herself.

"Don't pay attention to that. Just look at me." She said and gently brushed the back of her fingers against his temple. Tears formed in his eyes. With her other hand, Melissa ran her fingers through his hair.

"It's okay. It's okay." She said.

Theo felt the doctor take a hold of his arm and gently move it around. Although the moves were gentle, it still made Theo cry out in pain so tears fell uncontrollably down his cheeks. Melissa got closer. She kissed his forehead and whispered soothing things in his ear. He continued to cry as the doctor continued to have difficulties popping the shoulder back. After a few minutes he did succeed however. The pain immediately decreased and Theo's cries died down to exhausted sniffles.

Melissa gently got Theo's arm into a sling and helped him up from the bed.

"That's it, honey. Good job." She said.
