A/N: So this here is my take on Commander Shepard, the crew of the Normandy and the other various members of the Mass Effect Universe. This is the first in a series of fanfics that will hopefully cover ME1, 2, 3 and beyond. This is my first time writing a fanfic so I hope you guys enjoy!
MASS EFFECT: SAREN SAGA
Prologue

Some time in the distant future…
Two humanoid figures were in a bedroom. The smaller figure was laying down in bed, while the larger one sat on the side of the bed.
The smaller figure spoke first.
"Can you tell me a story before I go to sleep please?" They asked
The larger figure smiled at the smaller one. "Of course, sweetheart. Which story do you want me to tell you tonight?"
The smaller figure thought for a second, then pointed at a picture on the dresser. "Him!"
The picture was of two soldiers. The first soldier was a human female with long brown hair and dark brown eyes wearing blue heavy armor. The second soldier however, was a human male with a heavily scarred face and piercing blue eyes wearing grey and black heavy armor. On the right side of the chestplate a logo was visible. It looked like it said "N7" maybe? The smaller figure thought the human female's armor had the same logo but couldn't be 100% sure because her hair covered where the logo would be.
The larger figure smirked once they realized who the smaller figure was talking about. "Well someones a fan." The larger figure now had a full on grin as they continued "I just told you the story about Commander Shepard last night."
"Because that's the best story." The smaller one retorted with a grin that easily rivaled that of the one the larger figure wore.
"Fine. But only because I agree with you." The larger one said with mock displeasure. They sat and thought for a moment to figure out the best place to start the story. Once they had a good starting point they began; "Well it all started a long time ago. The year, If I remember correctly was 2172…"
