He woke up in intense pain, with a jolt and a cold sweat.
"Ah good! You're finally awake, may have put too much in there. How are you feeling, my old friend?" A rotund bald man with an aggressive mustache postured at him as he glanced around. He was strapped to a table of sorts, metallic arms dangled above, one had a syringe, dripping with a pink liquid. His head was overcome with a massive headache and he struggled against his bindings to grip his head, much to the man's mirth. The man laughed as the captured hedgehog saw visions of that syrine jabbing into his neck.
"W-who are you…? What have you done to me!? Where am I!" He shouted before wincing in pain. This once again caused the man to double over in laughter.
"I've taken your memories Soni-" He stops short, "Ohoho! I can't reveal too much now." he laughed his way out as two metallic creatures came from the doorway after the man. The hedgehog struggled against the bindings as the metallic beings grabbed his arms and legs. The hedgehog kicked his legs, and a strange thing occurred. He had a lot of force in his legs, like a lot. Thinking fast, the hedgehog kicked his legs like he was running, and reduced the other robot to shrapnel as his legs became a blur of blue lightning. Thinking fast the hedgehog curled up and leapt off The other robot ripping it's arms off and shooting down the hall at insane speeds. "Gotta get free, figure out-"
"Chaos Spear!"
A sharp shooting pain hit the hedgehog in the back and his vision began to fade.
"Good work Shadow, Sonic almost got…"
The hedgehog fell unconscious, unknowing that he just heard his own name.
Ivo Robotnik watched the landscape of Mobius roll past his ship, as Shadow the Hedgehog walked up to join him.
"So what's our next move?" The black hedgehog asked the genius human.
"With that thorn removed, we can finally roboticize Green Hill's City Zone, and then we need to work on Mushroom Hills." The man stroked his moustache. "Do you think we should rename them?"
Shadow shrugs. "Whatever works with you, Ivo."
"It's Dr. Robotnik."
"You use my first name, so I shall use yours." The human turned away.
"I shall go make preparations for our arrival at the City." Robotnik walked away as shadow watched the Planet below. It was night time, and he had grown bored.
He wanted to skate.
The blue hedgehog was locked inside of a steel box. The front of the cell was some sort of orange energy that crackled unpleasantly. The hedgehog was occupied with something else. He was a blur of speed running in a circle up his cell. Up the wall, across the ceiling, and down the other wall. He was unsure if this was one of the things that egg shaped guy did to him, or something he could do before… this.
"Having fun there, Sonic?" A black and red hedgehog was standing in front of his cell with his arms crossed. The blue hedgehog stopped suddenly, and he wondered for a moment why the sudden stop didn't liquify his bones.
"Is that supposed to be like, an insult? Cause honestly it's kinda fitting." The blue hedgehog, now identified as Sonic, said as he put his hand on his hip. The black and red hedgehog rolled his eyes.
"Chaos he put way too much into you. You're a blank slate aren't you? I bet you don't even know how you can do that."
Sonic scoffed, "With my legs of course."
"No you idiot, we're different, we're better than normal mobians." The black hedgehog became a blur as he seemed to vibrate his whole body, and he phased effortlessly through the energy field and smirked down at the blue hedgehog before kicking him hard into the back wall before dashing back, once again phasing through the energy wall.
Sonic made a pained noise as he slumped to the ground, coughing up some blood.
"Was kicking me really needed?" Sonic muttered as he shakily stood. The dark hedgehog smirked.
"You'll learn soon enough. Phasing is pretty easy though, so I'll be waiting outside. I wanna race." The dark hedgehog said as he walked out.
Sonic now had allot to think about. He stood up fully and looked at the energy wall before glancing down at himself.
"Huh… well 'phasing's easy' I guess…" Sonic said, mocking the black and red hedgehog as he tried to do that, vibrating thing. He shook his hands, they moved normally but as he put more speed into them they became a blur of speed. He focused and tried to shake his body in the same way. Sonic had soon figured out how to become a blur of vibration, and could turn it on and off in an instant.
"Well shit, this is going to be fun! Alright," Sonic began to vibrate, "Let's do thi-!" As Sonic raced to phase through the energy wall, he instead bounced off of it with an electrical crack and slammed into the wall.
"Ow…."
Robotnik sat in the bridge as his robots did their work. Orbot floated beside his chair, doing some minor calculations in relation to city planning and fuel consumption for a fully robotic city.
"They are magnificent aren't they?" Robotnik mused as the Green Hills City Zone came into view. They were only an hour's flight away now.
"What do you mean sir? The mobians?" Orbot asked, looking up to his master.
"No, they are nothing more than animals who have gotten too big for their own good. Machines, my spherical creations. Machines are magnificent. Unlike the human race Which ruined what was once called Earth and escaped in space stations, and unlike the Mobians who evolved from animals once thought incapable of sentience, Machines will never die. They will never age, and thanks to my ingenuity many will never rust, or deteriorate. Mobians, they simply cannot stand to the glory of machinery."
Orbot thought for a second.
"What about Sonic and Shadow?" Robotnik glared at Orbot.
"They are, anomalies. And both are now dealt with. Shadow is allied to my family, My great Grandfather created him, in an effort to imbue the new species of Earth or now, "Mobius" with a unique energy force called Chaos. He is now indebted to my family for his creation, and Sonic is no more. He is without memories, and imprisoned on my ship, I doubt that he'll ever trouble us again.
Suddenly, alarms began to blare as a robotic announcer sounded,
"CELL BLOCK BREACH, CELL BLOCK BREACH, SONIC THE HEDGEHOG HAS ESCAPED!"
Orbot looked at Dr. Robotnik who glared at him.
"Orbot, activate ship lockdown."

"This is a massive ship man…" Sonic was running through the hallways at a comfortable pace, if he thought about he'd probably put his speed around 700 mph, though he wasn't entirely sure how he knew that. He sped through the corridors looking for an exit to the ship, only coming across factories and robots that are too slow to catch him. He speeds up a stairway and phases through a closed door ending up on the deck of the ship. The wind whipped past Sonic as the massive Moon shone down from the sky. Sonic looked up at it, impressed at the size but knew that it was proper for this world.
"So you figured it huh? Finally, I get to have some fun." The Black and red hedgehog smirked as he leaned against some sort of pillar device.
"You are an asshole!" Sonic pointed at him with an accusatory fingers, "You said phasing was easy, My quills are still staticy."
The other hedgehog rolled his eyes. "I told you you had to find the right frequency to pass through something. Atleast you didn't get stuck in a wall and cut yourself in half."
Sonic stared for a moment. "That can happen?"
The black and red hedgehog shrugged. Alarms began to blare as security turrets whirred to life around the two. The dark hedgehog smirked.
"How about a race? Beat me and you might get off this ship alive."
He pointed far down the deck, to the front of the ship. "First one there wins."
Through the alarms the intercom buzzed, "SHADOW! DON'T LET HIM ESCAPE!" The loud voice of the egg shaped human sounded out. The dark hedgehog, apparently named Shadow, took his position. Sonic knew this was his chance, he just had to beat this guy in a race and he was insanely fast. How hard could this be.
"Go." Shadow said as the two took off in blurs of speed.
Sonic was pushing everything into his speed, reaching 700 mph in a matter of moments but Shadow easily kept pace. Sonic looked over to see the Hedgehog casually keeping stride with him, causing the blue blur to pick it up. Sonic leaned into the speed and began to slowly rack up the miles.
'710, 730, 760…' He counted off in his mind. The wind whipped past as he noticed that the turrets along the ship began firing at him, but it seemed that reality was moving in slow motion as he shot along the ship. Bullets never came close to him, but he could see them fire and watch the bullet without any motion blur.
"Beautiful, isn't it? The world slows down for us, and we go even further beyond that speed. Even before Ivo took your memories you were only just tapping into what you could do with the Speed Force. Here let me show you." Shadow spoke to Sonic with a strange tone. He spoke about this, Speed Force with an almost longing tone, as if he was jealous of Sonic's speed. Green energy sparked and crackled from Shadow's hand as he formed a spear from the energy.
"Chaos Spear!" Shadow launched the energy blast at Sonic, causing the blue hedgehog to dash to the side to avoid getting skewered. Shadow took this opportunity to dash ahead of Sonic.
"Come on blue blur, run faster!" He yelled back to his fellow hedgehog.
Sonic growled and took off after him. He pumped his legs into the metal ship, shooting ahead by hundreds of miles per hour.
"800, 900, 1,000!" He was gritting his teeth putting his everything into the next step, and the next, and the next one. Blue lightning sparked off of him slightly. First one spark, then three. He pushed himself to reach Shadow, doing so in a few moments. It was clear that the blue hedgehog was struggling as Shadow looked over to him, earning a chuckle from the black hedgehog.
"Having trouble keeping up? Well you're going to have even greater trouble, Stopping!" Shadow shot backwards as he stopped on a dime.
"Wait what?" Upon saying this, Sonic realized that there was no longer any ground beneath his feet.
"Wait no no no NOOOOO!" Sonic shouted and flailed through the air as he began to plummet towards the massive forest below him.
Shadow walked up to the ledge and watched him fall to the ground far below.
"And so the fun begins again…" He walked away from the ledge, back into the ship.
