Percy POV
The Giant War was finally over. But there were a lot of losses. Three hundred out of the six hundred and fifty Romans we had died. two hundred of the three hundred Greeks died. three-quarters of the nature spirits, satyrs, fauns, etc. had died. But that's not the worst part.
Few days after the war, I noticed everyone started to talk to me less, ignore me, and when I asked them they lied and said nothing happened. But I can see through their lies. Even Annie seemed a little distant. I have to talk to Chiron, maybe he can help me. I went to the Big House to talk to him. Just when I was about to open the door, I heard him talking to Annie. Just when I was about to go in and ask them, I heard them saying something about me. Wise Girl was saying "-we have to do something, the campers are scared of Percy". Wait what the hell I did to them other than help them. Maybe Chiron would say something to her. But what I heard next broke my heart, "we must send him home and ask him to never come here cause the campers to fear him because of how he battled with so many Giants and survived hell. His fatal flaw is Loyalty, he will understand" Chiron said. I was hurt. After all this, they betrayed me in the end, even Annabeth. I ran back to my cabin. I was angry. Angry at all of them. Maybe, I should go somewhere else because I can't risk Mom and Paul getting hurt and the campers don't need me.
I have to talk to my mom, maybe she can help me and understand. I went to my cabin's fountain to make a rainbow. Just when I was about to make a rainbow, golden light started coming from me, bright enough to force me to close my eyes. I closed my eyes just in time before I was flashed. I opened my eyes to see- HOLY SHIT- It's the BIG BEN. Wait how in the name of Holy Hera's cow did I come here. Is this another stupid joke of the gods? I quickly walked out of the alleyway and continued down the streets. I looked to the corner and found a small cafe near the end of the block. My stomach growled, I was hungry as hell but I don't have any pounds on hand. I checked my pockets and found a few dollars, a few drachmae, and a single pen, which wasn't a pen. Looks like I have to make a run, I thought. But before I could, I heard something.
"Percy Jackson", the voice came from behind me. I let my instincts take over. My hand abruptly flew to my pocket and retrieved my pen and uncapped it. It transformed into a Greek-style, 3-meter long leaf blade as I leveled it at the person who spoke.
There standing before me were three old women/hags wearing identical grey dresses making them look like triplets. Oh wait, they are triplets. They looked old, old as in your 80 old grannies, however, they are as old as time. They wore thick glasses, but behind those lenses were eyes that had seen too much that will make even a god insane, even Dionysus (he is the god of madness). This is the third time I have seen them. The first time I encountered them was back when I was a naïve 12-year-old boy when they were cutting Luke's string. The second time when they came to take Luke's body after he sacrificed himself for us. And the third time now
"The Fates", I realized as I sighed, "Oh I'm so glad to see you three. I think there's a first time for everything".
"That is certainly a first," one of them said.
Then another pointed at the cafe door, "shall we?"
I looked wearily between them because even though I was ecstatic about meeting people I knew here in an unknown place, it's common knowledge that the Fates can't be trusted. However, I didn't have much of a choice. Knowing them, they weren't even asking.
I sighed, "Okay, but you're paying. I have no pounds, only dollars and I don't like dining and dashing."
"Understood," they said as one as they walked inside the café motioning me to follow.
I sighed as I pressed my pen cap to the blade turning it back into a pen. The Fates quickly got a seat in the back, far enough from others to make sure we wouldn't be overheard. I sat down in front of the three, but before I could begin, a woman came up and smiled, and asked, "Hello there, what can I get for the four of you?"
"Three Green teas and a chocolate mocha with extra sugar for the boy," the Fate in the middle ordered.
"Alright, coming right up!"
"Thank you," said Fate.
I raised an eyebrow, "How did you know what I like, oh wait you are the Fates I forgot, never mind."
"Indeed you did Percy Jackson," one of them spoke up.
"Now, what are you doing here?" another asked, turning the conversation into full business mode as if they were very experienced in this field. Their faces shifted from casual to business.
I sighed, "I have no idea. One moment I was in my cabin after being betrayed by them and about to IM my mom, the next thing I know a golden light comes from me and voila, here I am."
The Fates looked surprised. The middle one spoke, "Golden light? Kronos? He sent you here?"
"What, but didn't he die?," I yelled, "I saw him die myself!"
"We have to give him back his memories-"
"-Yeah that's the -"
"-The only way."
I blinked, "wait, what memory, didn't I get my memory back during the quest to free Death aka Thanatos? I clearly remember everything that happened to me including the betrayal."
"Come here."
I looked very confused but just when I was about to lean forward, the waitress came.
"Here we are!" The waitress from before came back, forcing me to stop.
As she placed the drinks down one of the Fates asked, "Excuse me, dear, can you please tell us the date today?"
"Why, it's February 23rd."
"And the year?"
The waitress looked concerned, "oh, well it's 1993 ma'am. Why?"
"No reason, miss," The Fates then suddenly took out a 20-pound note from their dress and gave it to the girl, "keep the change."
All questions went out of the waitress's head as she gladly took the money forgetting about the strange questions the Fates had asked.
I turned to the Fates, "it's 1993?!"
"Yes," they nodded as one.
"B-but how is that possible?!"
"You fought against the Titan of time, what do you think happened?"
"I still don't get it."
"Lean forward." Fates said
I leaned forward and they touched my head and muttered a spell older than ancient Greek. A golden light surrounded us for a moment
"Done," they said
And truly it was done. I remembered the curse now, which Kronos put on me. He cursed me to be lost in time when Luke killed himself. When Luke killed himself Kronos laid the curse in my mind which stated that I will be lost in time when those who I trust and fight for betray me. Just so the gods don't know about the curse, he locked the memory in my head hidden even from Hera.
"So…so Kronos sent m…me back. Kronos...he sent me ba…back in time
The Fates nodded, "yes...he did."
"Why?!"
"As a final form of revenge we believe," the Fates on the left spoke as she sipped from her tea, "But don't worry there won't be a war for them for the next 20 years."
"You meant that there still will be more wars. And why here?! Why London?!"
"Because we did not allow you inside America," they replied.
"Wait what, why?!"
"There are a lot of things going on in the country. If someone changes time then that will cause serious damage to the future. And if that person also happened to be a child of one of the big three that had just turned sixteen….well, one could only imagine."
"Wait wait hold on, why did you say 16, I am seventeen, am I not?" I asked.
"You should be seventeen but there was a backlash from Kronos' curse. Luckily, we were able to stop you from becoming a baby and you just became a year smaller." said the Fates.
I looked down, he couldn't believe this was happening. "W-what about my parents? I don't care about my 'friends' so what about my mom, Paul, and Dad? What will happen to them?"
"They are all alive and well, in the future."
"Can you send me back?" I asked in desperation.
"No, we cannot. Even Kronos doesn't have the power to do that. Only our father can send you back to future who has already faded"
"Then what the fuck am I supposed to do?!" I roared as I got up.
The three sisters turned as one and started at me, "you have no choice, you can only do one thing and that is waiting for the next 17 years."
"For 17 years?!"
They looked back with blank eyes, "yes."
I gaped at them not believing what he was told. "No...No, it can't be true, it can't be! It must be some sick joke from you and the gods. It can't be!" I dashed outside. I looked towards the road and spotted a guy reading a newspaper.
I ran, chanting 'this can't be true, no chance!' over and over in my head. This had to be some sick joke conjured by the gods.
I snatched the paper from the guy. "Hey kid, give it back to me!." The guy yelled.
I ignored him completely as I looked at the paper's headline: Black ran away from the prison a year ago, still not found. If it was any other day I would have made a joke making fun of the prisoner's name but not today. I was only interested in the date.
The date printed on the paper was 2nd January 1993. The year I was born in. Just a few months after mom and dad met.
My hands shook in shock, making the now-forgotten newspaper fall to the ground in a heap.
The Fates walked up to the man and one of them handed him a note, "Here, for the paper."
I looked at the hags, "What should I do for the next 17 years?"
"Come with us Percy, we'll tell you what you are about to do for 17 years."
I nodded as they slowly walked towards a bench. I held the paper in his hands still staring at the dates as if it would change any second. The road was filled with cars honking and people yelling, but when the Fates spoke everything else seemed to die down.
"You must stay here Percy, no matter what you cannot enter America."
"When can I?"
"When did you leave?"
"Well, I was forced to leave on 18 September 2010." I said dragging the word 'forced'.
"Then that is the only day you can return."
"I will be 33 then, only 7 years younger than my mother and what am I supposed to do till then?!" I snapped, "I have no life here, no family, no work, nothing!"
"No, that isn't true," The Fate closest to him reached into her rags and pulled out a coin. She gave it to me and asked, "Tell me, Percy, what do you see?"
I looked at the coin, it was a two-pound coin, "it's a coin. A 1 dollar coin, I mean, pound, a 1 pound coin."
"Correct," one of the Fates said, "tell me Percy who is on that coin?"
I looked again and found the coin featured a woman with a Greek-style helmet, Greek armor with long flowing hair with a trident over her shoulder. Percy was a bit taken back. "She is a Greek and is related to dad somehow," I answered after a few moments.
The Fates nodded, "that is Britannia, the representation of Britain in the ancient world. Most believe it was just something created by the Romans to distinguish the country, but in reality, Britannia was very real as Greek gods are. She was just an ordinary sea nymph and she was one of Poseidon's many sea spirit children. She however was unlike her brothers and sisters, she was not content with simply remaining in Atlantis, she wanted to explore the world, find new places and make discoveries bringing glory to her royal family. It was her dream. And she did, and eventually, she came upon this country, Britain. Though it wasn't named at that time. And she fell in love with it.
"Her father or rather, your father, ordered her to return to Atlantis, but she refused to tell him that she wished to be this land's protector, she wanted this land to be her kingdom where she can reign like her father. Poseidon loved the little nymph, much like he loved you and loved all of his children except a, he was more than happy to let Britannia have this land as her own since no one else had claimed it yet.
"However, at that time this land was in turmoil, so much war and bloodshed occurred on these grounds as if Ares himself visited the land. Poseidon knew Britannia could never rule with such a destroyed kingdom with so much bloodshed, and so he sought to bring peace to the land. And to do that he would need a weapon and what a better weapon than a son, a demigod son. He bedded a woman named Igraine Pendragon, giving birth to a son, Arthur Pendragon. The future king of the whole Britain"
My eyes widened, "King Arthur is my brother, uhh half-brother?! What the Hades?!"
The Fates seemed to smile, "Yes, Arthur Pendragon was a demigod and a very powerful one at that. He united the kingdoms, and while eternal peace wasn't gained, it was a powerful start to Britannia's kingdom. And now she stands, ruler of one of the most powerful nations in the world. And that is mostly in part to Poseidon, her father, and King Arthur, your half-brother."
Percy blinked, "holy shit….King Arthur is my….wow….wait, does that mean Excalibur is real?!"
The Fates nodded, "It is. But it has been lost to time, no one knows for sure where it lies except us and our aunt Gaia cause she is the Earth."
"I see...wait, does that mean Merlin the wizard with a wand and a pointed hat and other things like that was real?!"
"Yes, Merlin was real, he was the most powerful wizard and he knew very well exactly what was going on. He knew about Britannia and Arthur's true parentage and also about the Greek world existing. He knew all of this, and he swore to keep it a secret made on river Styx."
"Cool, good to know about Merlin and my half-brother and sister" I nodded, "but, why are you telling me this? How does this help me survive 17 bloody years in the past? It is not as if the wizards are real and Merlin is still alive and they have a school for wizards in here, Britain and has fashion sense from the Victorian times"
"Why, yes. Simple, you see Percy Merlin wasn't the only wizard, he was just the most powerful one."
"So you mean magic is real? Are Wizards real?! Are you messing with me?!"
"Is the demigod son of a Greek God of Sea who has defeated Earth and Titan of Time, went through literal Greek hell asking us this?"
"...ah sorry, my bad. Alright then, please, continue."
"Understood. Arthur brought peace to the land and this allowed Merlin and the other witches and wizards to go into hiding from the mortal world. They realized that the world was changing and humans were slowly becoming more and more afraid of them and more hostile towards them. As a result, they decided to slowly fade into the shadows becoming nothing more than myths and legends. However, they did not go extinct, they thrived, and now a world of witches and wizards live in London, hidden from the mortals or as they say 'muggles'."
"But how is this possible? I have never heard of these guys. At least Chiron must know about this as he is very old. He has trained hundreds if not easily thousands of demigods and none knew about it!"
"You and they haven't, Percy because you aren't a part of their world either and none of the demigods are ."
"What? Why not? I'm a bloody demigod, don't I fall into the same category as them? They were able to go live in the shadows with the help of Arthur so shouldn't us demigods be in the same category?"
"No, you don't. Your world, our world, is as much hidden from them as we are from humans or they are from humans."
"Why is that? They can use magic right? We can use magic too though it's only one type of magic except for the Hecate cabin. Then how can they possibly not know about us or we about them?"
"We try very hard not to let the two worlds meet if something like that happened…. chaotic would probably be the word to describe it. Wizards are very...prideful creatures, almost comparable to the Athena cabin. Percy, if they one day find out that there are some things or someone out there that can kill them without a thought with a snap of a finger they would not rest until they kill that thing first and die trying, or try and stick their nose where it doesn't belong. It is best to stay away from them unless it is unavoidable."
I raised an eyebrow, "The way you three said that last line makes me feel like I might not like where this is going. Oh wait, who am I kidding, of course, I am not gonna like it, you are the Fates after all."
"Watch your tone boy. We know it is hard but you have to bear it. It is not easy for someone to travel to the past, leaving their families back in time." They said
"You need to be hidden, Percy, so no one from our world can be able to find you. The magical world will be able to do that and it's the only option. And while there you will also be able to learn many new things about this world Percy. Dragons, spells, curses, teleportation, even flying. And we know you are gonna meet a dragon and want to learn teleportation. After all, it's so tempting to flash at places without help from gods or mortal means of transport. "
I would be lying if I said I wasn't the least bit curious about what this whole hidden magical world was all about. The idea of learning teleportation seemed too interesting to pass up. I had always found my divine world amazing, surely a world made by humans would be equally exciting. Of course, it would be!
I sighed, "I don't exactly have a choice in the matter do I, and don't answer it as it was meant as a rhetorical question?"
"No Percy, you don't. The divine world walks among the mortal world freely, the Mist made by our mother and now controlled by Hecate, protects them making their chances of discovery impossible. But the wizarding world has no such luck or a goddess of mist, well they can see through the Mist, a God or Goddess would be spotted instantly but they can also be spotted by muggles, mortals for us. You must not be seen Percy as in a divine form, or else the victory you and all your friends fought for, or will fight for, will all be for not. And by divine form we mean using your divine power in front of them just freely, try to make them see it as magic."
I rubbed my temples, "You three are a pain in the ass. Has anyone ever told you that, and no you can't tell my name?"
"Nearly every single human, demigod, Gods and even almost all Titans across human and divine history," the Fates grumbled. "Will you do it?"
"Yeah," I shrugged, "Why not. Might be fun and also I don't have much of a choice, do I? Who knows, maybe in a few years I might like living here." The Fates nodded. "Hey, wait, I have a question, is there any chance that I could learn a little magic and teleportation and get a wand while I'm here? It will be so cool to show everyone my teleportation powers and magic too."
Fates smiled, "We thought you would never ask. There is a place that teaches magic in this world, a school called Hogwarts and in fact, that's like there is a whole world for them. They have their shops, schools, ministry, and other things like a mortal world."
"Okay, I'm going to stop you right there. What? Hogwarts? Seriously? That sounds like a disease a pig would get after it had been blessed by Zeus' ego!"
"Yes, the founders were rather very...peculiar and different people. But rest assured the school is the finest of all in the country, let alone all of Europe. Although you are behind on six years of education…They start teaching children when they are 11 for seven years till 17 when they are officially adults. Wizards become adults at the age of 17, unlike muggles who become at 18."
I blinked, "Well shit. What exactly are we talking about here? Charms? Spells? Flying? Do you think I could just wing it? Or you can make it seem as if I have completed my study till now."
"No chance in Hades," The Fates shook their heads. "If you were a child of Athena you would have a slight chance. Or if Hecate's even a greater chance. But-"
"-You don't have to say it, I know, I'm a seaweed brain or kelp brain or whatever," I groaned, "so that's out as well huh?"
"Not necessarily," The Fates then turned to each other and began to whisper in hushed tones, I looked at them in confusion before they broke apart and they spoke once more, "We believe that you should be able to catch up. January has just started, you have six months to catch up. You can easily do that after all, you are the twice Saviour of Olympus, the General of the Demigod Army."
"So you want me to cram in six years of knowledge in six months, knowing my records with schools?"
The Fates nodded.
I cleared his throat, "Not to sound angry and rude, BUT ARE YOU FREAKING MAD?! I can barely learn mortal shit, and now you want me to learn magic?! Granted it's magic, but shit women, I can't perform miracles.!" I said and got into a thought, miracles are magic and I am about to learn magic so I can do a miracle theoretically.
"We believe we can help you with that," The Fates said, "we will get you a teacher, a personal tutor, who is the best in the world for magic, we believe with her help you will be more than ready and enough to give exams by the time the next year rolls around."
I looked surprised, "Really? A tutor? Who did you three have in mind?"
The Fates smiled, "It is better we keep that to ourselves. It will be a good surprise. And also one mention of her name and she will be alerted to us and will know who we are speaking to. We must first inform her of our...situation and then batter for her help. It will take some time, but she will be ready to tutor you by tonight."
I groaned, "Okay then, so what exactly am I supposed to do till my tutor comes?"
"We have made arrangements for you," The Fates snapped their fingers and a sea-green cloth bag with a pitch-black trident that seemed to absorb the light around it appeared in their hand. "This is a bag made out of moleskin, a magic bag which can only be opened and used by the owner, you. It also is charmed to be ever-expanding, meaning you can store a great many things inside it and more things, and then also space wouldn't run out. In simple words, it is a bag with infinite space."
My eyes widened as I took the bag. It felt empty in my hands, thinking of it as a joke but when I opened it I found it filled with golden coins. I gaped, "Whoa! Is that gold here?!"
"Yes, like us Greeks, the wizards use gold, silver, and bronze as currency. The gold coins are known as galleons, the silver as sickles, and the bronze as Knuts. One Sickle is equivalent to 29 Knuts, and 17 Sickles make up a Galleon. Each Sickle has a series of numerals around the edge representing a serial number referring to the goblin that cast the coin. We have provided funds for you Percy, though they are unlimited, use them wisely."
I sighed, "Right. Thanks for this." It is not every day that the Fates help you. "Although it's kind of surprising you have this all planned out."
"We needed time to get this ready."
"But you found me in like a few minutes after I reached here."
"Exactly, we needed and used that time to prepare all of this for you."
"So you knew I would say yes?"
"Yes. Of course, we are the Fates, are we not?"
"Wow….okay, I'm not going to lie, that's impressive. Scary, but impressive and amazing."
The Fates nodded, they got up and one of them gave me an old map, "This map will lead you to a place called the Leaky Cauldron, one of the most common entrance ways to the wizarding world. You will be able to find it just fine, it can easily be distinguished. Once there, rent a room and stay there, don't talk to anyone, interact as little as possible. Don't do anything. Hopefully, by tonight we will have your teacher ready for you, fully convinced, and you can begin….assimilating to the wizarding world your new home for 17 years."
I raised an eyebrow, "wait if you know the future then you know that my teacher is going to say yes, and will be convinced by you all and if you also know that….did you know that I will get betrayed and Kronos would send me here?"
The Fates smiled, "goodbye Percy Jackson. Be safe."
"Hey wait! I need my damn answers, gods dammit!" But the three old women exploded in a burst of light and I had already closed my eyes before they teleported away, leaving me blinking away bright light spots from my vision.
'Great, just great,' I grumbled, I quickly pocketed the moleskin bag or my bank and pulled out the map. I found big red bold words with 'you' written on them posted on one corner, and a line drawn through the whole of London ending on the other corner.
It was quite far away from where I am, and I don't have any money on me, at least not any money used in London, well, nothing I could spend anyway. So with no other choice, I got up from the bench and began walking, following the instructions and the lines on the map.
I walked down London, truly the place was an amazing tourist location. I felt strange being here because I was wearing different clothes, though most of the people were oddly dressed. Everyone wore such old clothes, every guy wore a plaid shirt while every woman wore a tight t-shirt. It was like they were stuck in the '90s!
Oh, wait….never mind. I forgot, again, I am in the '90s. He realized now that the time travel thing did happen. Not just the fashion but the way they acted and spoke. The New York-born and raised boy from the 2000s weren't comfortable with this place, but hey, it was at least better than being stuck in the '70s, now that would be a nightmare!
I eventually reached the place in question, after stopping and asking directions many times from some guides who were guiding the people. Honestly, the roads were all mixed up, how was anyone supposed to find anything here? But either way, he did it, he made it to the Leaky Cauldron, good thing too, as it had already become dark. Seriously, the magicians are the worst namers.
I pushed open the door and stopped. 'Did I time travel...again?!'
The inside of the place looked like a Victorian-era shop. The people were dressed in robes and sitting around candlelight tables. The people looked like they were from the past, the ancient past. There was no form of electricity in the place, there wasn't even a fan! They can do magic and don't even have lights and fun! Seriously these people are so fucked up.
I turned around and looked outside, sure enough, the streets were still the same, and he was still in the '90s. But when he looked back in the pub it looked like he was in Victorian England!
I groaned, 'what have I gotten myself into?' I walked inside wearily, the people gave me one look before scoffing and looking away. I looked surprised, 'What are they looking at? My clothes? What's wrong with my clothes? You're the one who's dressed up to go to a medieval convention!'
I grumbled at them and cursed in Greek and walked to the man behind the bar, most probably the owner. The man saw him coming and smiled, "Yes young man, how can I help you?"
"Ah, I was hoping that I can get a room here for the night," I said as the people at the bar suddenly took notice of me giving me a once-over.
"Ah, American are you? What brings you here?" the man asked.
"I have some work here with my family."
"Right, oh where are my manners? My name is Tom, I'm the owner of this pub, pleasure to meet you lad," he gave his hand out which I shook.
"Perseus, Perseus Jackson but call me Percy."
"Right, now let's see," the man turned around and looked at a key rack behind the desk, "Room number 8 is available, would that be an alright kid?"
I nodded, "yeah, that will be fine."
"Perfect! Now for one night that will be a galleon and 5 sickles, but that does include breakfast" Tom smiled.
I nodded, and retrieved my moleskin bag from my back and took out a single golden coin and five silver coins, handing it to Tom. Tom then handed me my key and told me where the rooms were.
I walked up the stairs by the side of the pub and quickly found room number 8. I opened the door and was surprised to find a very spacious room inside. I frowned my eyebrows and stepped out, but I saw that the door number 7 and 9 were just a few feet away from my door, but the room inside was easily 10 feet big.
'It's bigger on the inside,' I realized as he walked in and closed the door behind him. They are just like the tents of Artemis' hunters. When I was visiting Thalia, she showed me around the hunter's camp, and damn, it was good, much better than camp Half-Blood. Anyway, back to the description of the room. The room had a king-sized bed to one side, a wardrobe, a fireplace, and a mirror. It wasn't much, but it was better than most motels I knew.
I sighed, it had been a long day, I walked up to the window and unlatched it, throwing it open and letting the cool night air come inside. I took a deep breath and sighed, 'Okay, so I'm stuck in the past, trying to enter a world I don't know shit about by learning six years of magic in six months. Perfect, just perfect.'
I closed the window and walked away. "You are very handsome and fit, though that clothes could use a bit of a wash."
I whirled around as I took out Riptide, my pen aka sword, and readied it, "Okay, who said that?"
"That sword is nice, goes with the whole 'wandering warrior with torn clothes' look you are going for."
I blinked, that voice was coming from everywhere around me. I walked around a bit, and asked: "I'm sorry, but are you, air, just talking to me?"
"You look very handsome and fit, though that clothes could use a bit of a wash. That sword is nice, goes with the whole 'wandering warrior with torn clothes' look you are going for." the air repeated. One thing I did notice was that the voice sounded somewhat feminine.
"Dude, or whatever it is for a feminine speaking air, you can talk!"
"You look very handsome and fit, though that clothes could use a bit of a wash. That sword is nice, goes with the whole 'wandering warrior with torn clothes' look you are going for." the air repeated once more.
'Huh, it must be charmed or something to say that or must be a hidden speaker though it's very unlikely because here people don't use technology, not even fan or light bulb,' I looked around everywhere, behind the bed, under the bed, near the chair, in corners but didn't found any speakers or wires of any sort, meaning it must be some form of magic that made the air sentient or someone can be transparent like me and hiding somewhere here.
Let's get this person out if it is a person.
I smiled, "Okay I'll admit, talking air is very cool."
"Thank you."
I was surprised, but then again maybe the speaker was programmed to say that as well, but it only raised my suspicion of a person hiding. But now I finally noticed how I was dressed. My camp half-blood shirt was ripped at the edges because I had used it many times and it showed me how much I have sacrificed for the gods, my face and skin were covered in soot and dust and sweat. Those people were right to stare, I looked like a homeless kid. My black hair was wild and messy and my sea-green eyes looked tired. I was easily 6'4 feet tall with a swimmer's build, being the son of the sea god does that.
I then turned around and stared at my back side, "do I look fat or chubby in these clothes"
"No, you look handsome in these clothes though I don't care," a voice called out, and this time it wasn't the air.
I turned around and found a woman leaning against the door with her arms crossed and a smirk on her lips. She had a very young and charming face with black curly hair and bright brown eyes that smiled with mischief.
She wore a full-arm white robe that came down to her feet with black and blue runes written all over. She wore rings all over her hands and a white tiara with a black stone in the center. She had a staff in her hand and a torch. No not the modern one but rather the old one where the flame was used
"Who are you?" I asked, Riptide drawn out already in sword form, ready to attack at a moment's notice.
"Put down the sword aka toy boy, I mean you no harm, if I did, you would have already been turned into ashes".
I narrowed his eyes, "that didn't answer my question, lady and this 'sword aka toy' is a sword, not a toy. It can seriously damage you if I run it through you"
The woman growled, "watch how you speak and your tone boy. Watch who you're talking to. But, you have guts kid, I'll give you that much. The Fates sent me, now, please stop with that face, it is disturbing, not even a rabbit will fear from that but instead, it will laugh at your face."
I blinked, "what? This is my serious face!"
"Sure...we'll work on that," the woman swung her arms as she approached Percy looking him up and down, "so you're the time traveler huh? Not much to look at are you?"
I raised an eyebrow, "Yeah, maybe, but that's because it's been a long day and I'm kind of exhausted. Being betrayed by your friends, your love, your mentor, everyone who you have given up your life for. Also, I have defeated Iapetus, Hyperion, and Kronos and also defeated Polybotes and many other Giants, survived Tartarus, the Greek version of hell, fought against Mother Earth, Gaea, herself, then being sent 17 years into the past is kind of a full plate for me. Oh and also declined Godhood, made the Olympians forgive other Titans and Minor Gods who sided with Kronos, made cabins for every God, reunited the 2 camps and these aren't even my full titles. Not to sound like Zeus full of ego, but I think I have done enough"
The woman raised an eyebrow, "Really? Gaea and Kronos and Tartarus and defeating Titans and Giants, well that is impressive. Maybe you aren't a complete waste after all," she walked up to my bed and leaned on it, "Alright son of Poseidon I've decided, I'll train you, At least until you stop being interesting that is."
I put away my pen and asked, "I'm sorry not to be rude or anything, but who are you?"
"Oh, I'm sorry, usually people would know who I am instantly, but I'm guessing you're not exactly the brightest bulb in the room are you?"
I frowned at that comment, "I'm smart when I'm interested."
"Well alright, then smarty pants tell me, who am I?"
I looked at the woman. She was powerful, very powerful, and since the Fates could talk to her and she knew about Kronos she was divine and she had a torch. I knew of only one person who was both divine, good at magic, and carries a torch which is a symbol of power for one Titaness.
"Hecate," I said, "you are the Titaness of magic and necromancy, Hecate."
The woman gave a feral grin and nodded, "Right you are Jackson. Right you are."
