AN: I've never seen any villain!Deku stories with Bakugo as the main focus, so here it is!

A Haunting Realization
Bakugo Katsuki believed he was always ready for anything, as a pro hero he was expected to always stay calm and collected and he was also trained to be like that. However, in all his 5 years of being on the job, this was the first time he'd heard of such news.
"A quirkless man is going around beating up heroes?"
"Yes, he seems to have no demands so far. He beat up 20 heroes in the last 2 months but has yet to kill anyone" the police officer giving the report was quite nervous. Bakugo Katsuki, hero name "Dynamight" was not known for his patience.
"That's fucking bullcrap! There's no way a quirkless guy beat up 20 heroes without us even getting a clue as to why!"
"Katsuki calm down, the officer is just doing his job, leave the files on the table officer we'll handle the rest." Mirio Togata, Lemillion, the current holder of One For All and current number 1 hero relieves the officer of his duty and picks up the files.
"You should calm down more Dynamight, you wouldn't even let the officer finish. Here, look the villain has actually left some clues. Has been spotted with known members of the league of villains like Dabi and Toga. And it seems he told one of the heroes to send the message to HQ 'Kacchan, I'm going to visit you soon"
Bakugo's blood ran cold but Mirio continued.
"I wonder who this 'Kacchan' is, well let's take this new information to hq and have a specialized team of heroes and police detectives work on this case, this all okay with you?" when Mirio finally looked up from the file he hadn't expected to see Bakugo... scared.
No that's impossible... There's no way! Yeah, exactly it's a coincidence that he used that name. Okay, calm down Dynamight there's no way it's him.
"You ok Bakugo? You look kinda pale."
"Togata-senpai, let me head it, the team." Bakugo needed to do this, for his own sanity.
"Umm, sure? But get some water dude you're really pale"
"Ah yeah sure"
The next few days with all the planning with the team Bakugo hardly got any sleep, but it was almost done, he'd almost finished coming up with a plan to find and capture the quirkless villain. But then, he got a call he was not ready for.
"Ya, what is it Eijiro?"
"Umm nothing Katsuki, I was just wondering if you'd gotten the news is all," says Kirishima, sounding quite worried.
"What news shitty hair, spit it out." Bakugo was normally quite irritable, but with recent events, he's been more on edge than usual.
"Ok first calm down, I'll tell you when you get home"
"Huh?! You call me to tell me something but then decide to wait until I get home to tell me?! Ferfuckssake just tell me already"
"Bakugo Katsuki I will tell you when you get home, and come home immediately, no buts." It wasn't often Kirishima forced Bakugo into anything so he instantly realized it was important.
"Tch fine, I'm coming"
However, even before reaching home, Bakugo was made aware of the news by the riots outside his hero agency.
"How could you let this happen!"
"Heroes must take responsibility for this!"
"Who is Kacchan! Where is he hiding!"
The roars of the public only grew louder when he stepped outside.
"As the number 3 hero, how do you plan to take action!"
"As the head of a hero agency, how will you aid the efforts to capture the villain!"
"I'm sorry but I have no idea what you all are talking about, but I assure you as soon as I do I'll take action but right now I need to go home!" Bakugo had gotten better in handling reporters in the past 5 years but he was still not able to get out of this one.
"So Dynamight, do you mean to tell us you are unaware of the murder of Toshinori Yagi, All Might?"
"Huh?" Bakugo had almost made it out of the sea of reporters when he heard that. He quickly turned around to find the man who said that.
"What? Murder? All Might?" Bakugo's head was spinning.
No! Not possible! He can't... but how... Is this why Eijiro...
A million thoughts were going in his head, he just couldn't accept what he'd heard. However, his headache was far from over.
"The villain who goes by the name 'Deku' murdered All Might last night, he was found today morning on top of a middle school building with a note stating 'Kacchan let's playyyyy' "
Bakugo was reeling, his blood was boiling and his anger had reached a high point. He walked straight to the reporter and took his mic.
"Deku... no, Izuku Midoriya wherever you are I will find you, you asked, didn't you? Alright Midoriya, Kacchan is coming for you"
Bakugo would never be able to tell you what happened after that point. A slew of new questions raised by his sudden declaration.
"Who is Izuku Midoriya?"
"How do you know Deku"
"Is he really quirkless?"
"Are you really 'Kacchan'?"
All those questions fell on deaf ears as Bakugo Katsuki stormed through the crowd and made his way home.
"Katsuki I can't let you do this" Kirishima tried his hardest to dissuade Bakugo.
"That isn't your decision to make Eijiro" Bakugo however wasn't going to change his decision.
"It isn't yours either!" Kirishima was getting more desperate by the second. He couldn't let Katsuki go alone
"He is calling for me by name Kirishima, I can't ignore it"
"If he's calling for you by name that means he obviously has something planned!"
"Then I guess I'll have to blow those plans up, just like I've always done," Bakugo says confident words but Kirishima can see the quiet doubt in his face.
"This man, Midoriya or Deku or whatever has beaten up 20 heroes! And he even killed All Might!"
"All Might retired ages ago, he was just a civilian."
"How are you so calm about this! This man is trying to kill you!"
"I'd probably deserve it" That last part comes out without thinking and Bakugo instantly regrets it.
"Bakugo, what... What do you mean by that! What do you mean he deserves to kill you!" Kirishima couldn't believe his ears. Just what was that supposed to mean?
"..." Bakugo could only look down in shame, trying his best to avoid Eijiro's eyes.
"Bakugo fucking Katsuki I'm telling you to tell me what that means!"
"None of your business"
"It became my business when we got together 3 years ago now tell me! Please..." Eijiro was close to tears, in all the years he had known Katsuki this was by far the most distant he'd felt.
Bakugo's phone rings and he looks at Kirishima before picking it up.
"Sorry Eijiro, this is something I have to do alone"
"Yes, Aunt Inko? Katsuki here" he says as he nervously answers the phone. However, he gets no reply and can only hear sobbing from the other end.
"I was going to come over Aunty, you should probably be with people right now, I'll come over with Mom" Katsuki tries to calm her down but to no avail.
"Katsuki..." Inko Midoriya meekly calls out to him "Are you certain that it's Izuku?"
"..."
"TELL ME NO.3 HERO! HOW DO YOU KNOW IT'S HIM!" Inko could no longer control herself and she let out all of her rage and sadness onto the 24-year-old hero.
"Aunty, don't worry... I'll make things right."
Bakugo makes a call to his mother and asks her to stay with the shaken Inko for now.
Bakugo on the other hand had a villain to catch.
