Disclaimer: I don't own X-Men. It belongs to Marvel.
Wolverine stood before what was towering before him. A grim look filled with determination was on his face. He was detirmined to take it on - singlehandedly.
"This is it!" he announced gruffly. "Time for me to take you on! You may prove yourself to be a worthy challenge, yet you don't scare me!"
The muscular mutant raised his clenched fists. Sticking out at the end of them were his lost, sharp, adamantiam claws. They glistened in the moonlight as he held them before what he was faced with that evening.
"Just you, me - and my little friends here..."
As his target stood silently before him, Wolverine sneered widely. He summoned all of his energy. The antihero ready to plunge his claws into what he was looking upon, about to tear away at it.
"Here we go!"
With huge a leap and a loud roar, Wolverine threw himself at what he was faced with. He stuck his long claws into his target. They took no effort to plow into it like a fork piercing food. He began to slash and rip away at what was before him, tearing chunks out of it and carving it up with a gleeful smirk on his face.
"There! Finished!"
Having finished what he set out to do, Wolverine stood back and admired his work, a pleased grin on his face.
He had just finished using his claws to chisel away at the giant block of ice that had been left outside the X-Mansion earlier that day.
His iconic weapons had come in very useful to turn it into a large sculpture - that looked exactly like himself.
"Perfect! It's completed just in time for when the judges arrive tomorrow!" Wolverine said to himself. "It's sure to win first prize!"
Satisfied with his night's work, he turned and prepared to head into the X-Mansion, preparing to head off to bed.
"I know the others said they wanted me to make the sculpture look like the whole team, but I can't be bothered to do that. Besides, I made the block of ice look the best it ever could! There's no way an ice sculpture that looks like the one and only Wolverine can't win the contest!"
Certain the rest of the team would be proud of him and that the prize for winning the contest was as good as his, Wolverine disappeared into the base. He closed the door behind him, leaving the ice sculpture outside in the cold night air...
...forgetting to cover it up for protection which began to rise hours later. It arrived long before the contest judges, causing the Wolverine ice sculpture to begin to melt...
The end.
