As DX regains control of the NXT roster, Seth Rollins and his God girls realise that they might have underestimated just how powerful Sasha's new Gift is.
Chapter One – The Shield Dads
The Sandbox, Greenwich, Connecticut
It was official; DX were back in control of NXT and the first order of business in the DX household was to finalise the card for Takeover before Wrestlemania. With the CEO role still up in the air at WWE, the main roster had no idea what the final matches for 'Mania were going to be. There was still so much interest in the story that DX thought it would be best if they tried to turn attention back to NXT, which was easy, now that Becky Lynch was facing Johnny Gargano for the NXT World Heavyweight Championship in the main event. The match was a big deal so DX put all their energy in getting as much interest as possible in that match which made everyone on the NXT roster very happy.
NXT tapings were set to resume in Los Angeles which was fine for the NXT Superstars who loved working on the West Coast. For Becky and the God girls, Los Angeles was about to become a problem.
"Wait, so you want us to start the NXT tapings in Orlando now?" Hunter asked Becky Lynch as they had breakfast in the kitchen.
Becky, Bianca and Bliss were looking down at their plates which were formerly covered with pancakes.
"What's changed, how come you want to go back to Orlando?" Shawn asked them.
"Because Bayley's in L A," Becky Lynch replied.
"Yeah, so? She's also in New York, who cares where she is?" Hunter replied.
"What has that got to do with the NXT tapings?" Shawn asked.
Bianca played with the end of her braid deciding not to say anything until Seth came out of Abiyah's nursery.
"Guys, why aren't you saying anything?" Hunter asked Becky, Bliss and Belair.
"We can't tell you anything until Seth gets down here," Bianca replied and Hunter got up off of the stool.
"No problem, I'll get him right now," Hunter said and he went to the bottom of the stairs and yelled up for Seth.
Bianca quickly ran over to him and gagged his mouth with her braid, "What are you doing?! You can't holler up the stairs like that!" Bianca said and Hunter looked at her like she was crazy.
"What are you talking about, this is my house of course I can holler," Hunter said removing her braid from his mouth.
"Hunter, Seth and Sasha just got back from the hospital. They have to set the atmosphere for Abiyah, if he hears your voice, he might not respond in the right way," Bianca said and Hunter furrowed his brow.
"Are you saying, Abiyah doesn't like me?" he asked Bianca and she sighed shaking her head.
"Look, just do me a favor and go back to the kitchen. I'll text Seth and ask him to come down," Bianca said leading Hunter back to the kitchen.
"Why doesn't Abi like me?" he asked Bianca and Shawn furrowed his brow as Hunter sat back down around the kitchen island.
"Who's Abi?" he asked.
"I think he means Abiyah," Alexa Bliss said with a warm smile.
"Abi doesn't like me Shawn," Hunter said to HBK who looked at Bianca who was doing her best to ignore them both as she text Seth and asked him to come to the kitchen.
Abiyah's nursery, North Wing of the Sandbox
Seth pocketed his cell-phone and went to kiss his son on the forehead and Abiyah pulled at a lock of his hair.
"I gotta go downstairs and talk to the girls, I'll be right back lil' man," he said to Abiyah and as he went to walk away, Abiyah held onto his hair. "You need to let go now Abiyah,"
Abiyah smiled at his father and tightened his grip on Seth's hair laughing and Sasha joined in.
"He doesn't want to let you go," she said sweetly and Seth gently tried to remove Abiyah's iron-like grip from his hair. "He is strong isn't he?"
"He sure is, I wonder where he gets that from?" Seth said trying to wrestle himself free from Abiyah but the lil' man wasn't letting him go and Seth felt like he was in a wrestling match with his newborn son. "Boss, could you help me out here?"
Sasha shrugged, "I don't want you to leave either, if you wanna go and see what the three buzzkills want, you figure how to get yourself outta your son's iron first by yourself," Sasha said with a smirk.
Seth pressed against the ottoman his wife was sitting on hoping to get enough leverage to force Abiyah's hand loose but it didn't work.
"He's not letting go," Seth said and he reached into his pocket and pulled out his cell-phone. "Time to bring in the big guns," he said and Sasha raised an eyebrow wondering who Seth was calling.
"Seth, who are you calling?" Sasha asked him.
"Who else? I'm calling Roman, he's going to have to redo my hair now," Seth said and Sasha laughed.
"Come to Mama," she whispered to Abiyah who responded to her voice by letting go of Seth's hair and clinging to her bosom.
"Finally, I'll be right back," Seth said giving Sasha a kiss before heading down to the kitchen to see what the God girls wanted to talk to him about.
When Seth entered the kitchen, he saw a very sour look on Hunter's face and wondered what was up with the Game this morning. DX were back in control of NXT and Becky Lynch was in the main event of Takeover, Hunter should have been over the moon.
"Why doesn't your son like me Seth?" Hunter asked the Prayer Warrior who looked at Shawn for help with Hunter's question.
"Why does Hunter think my new-born son doesn't like him?" he asked Shawn.
"Because he went to holler up the stairs to get you to come down here and Bianca stopped him," Shawn said and Seth looked at Hunter stunned.
"You cannot be serious? You can't yell with a new-born baby in the house," Seth said.
"How else is he going to know my voice?" Hunter replied.
"Why does he have to know your voice?" Seth asked.
"Just in-case anything happens to you and Sasha, how else is he going to know who to come to?" Hunter said.
"That's very sweet Hunter, but nothing's going to happen to me or Sasha," Seth said taking a seat by the island next to the God girls. "Now what did you guys want to talk to me about?"
"They don't want us to run NXT out of L A for some reason," Hunter said.
"They want us to go back to Orlando," Shawn added.
"How come?" Seth asked Bianca, Becky and Bliss.
"Okay here goes," Bianca said taking a deep breath, "We have an update from God about Bayley. This one is probably going to make you throw up so Bliss, get ready to hold Seth's hair back,"
"I'm ready," Bliss said with hands over Seth's hair and Becky scrunched up her nose.
"Ew," she said grossed out.
"Like my hair hasn't been through enough already this morning," Seth said sighing with his head his hands.
"So, this is about Bayley?" Hunter asked Bianca.
"Isn't it always?" Seth said annoyed. "What's she up to this time?"
"As you can imagine, Stephanie is Hell-bent on getting revenge for what happened to her at WWE courtesy of DX with a little help from all of us. As part of her plan for getting back at us, Stephanie told Bayley to befriend Beth Hardy, who has decided to be a "good girl" and tow the family line," Bianca explained.
"Beth Hardy is working with Bayley?" Seth said disturbed. "But we worked so hard to keep Beth out of trouble,"
"Naturally, Stephanie is going to use the only ammunition she's got left, her own daughter, to get back at us for losing the CEO position at WWE. As you know Seth, Beth has the Gift of Transcendence, which enables her to move objects and people through space and time in a nano second or less. So, Stephanie told Bayley to get Sasha's wedding ring off her finger because it has the DX family jewels in it," Bianca explained.
"Bayley tried to do that and she got hit with a bolt of Blue Thunder," Becky said.
"So, Bayley told Stephanie that she couldn't get the ring from off of Sasha's finger and Stephanie responded by telling Beth to Transcend the ring to Bayley," Bianca said and Seth shrugged.
"She's forcing her daughter to use her Gift from God for her own evil purposes, so what else is new?" Seth asked.
"What's new is that the ring can't come off Sasha's finger unless someone with the right motives takes if from her. For example, I could take Sasha's ring off her finger, so could Becky and so could Bliss," Bianca said.
"So, you're saying Beth can use her Gift of Transcendence to take my wife's wedding ring off her finger?" Seth asked and Bianca nodded. "That's a problem,"
"Yeah, but do you know why it's a problem?" Becky asked Seth.
"Yeah, because the ring is the only thing protecting Sasha from Bayley's attacks. Once the ring comes off her finger, she's vulnerable to Bayley's attacks again," Seth said.
"There's more to it than that Seth," Bianca said tentatively. "You may have noticed that Beth Hardy kind of has a crush on you, right?"
"Yeah, I noticed, so what?" Seth said and Shawn and Hunter looked at him like he was crazy.
"Does she really have to spell it out for you dude?" Hunter said to Seth who seemed genuinely clueless about what Bianca was getting at, "Man, you really have been in this house too long, you're starting to lose brain cells like me,"
"What is the big deal about Beth Hardy having a crush on me?" Seth asked Bianca.
"Do you remember what happened the last time someone with a crush on you put a ring on their finger?" Bianca said and Seth's face went white.
"Oh boy, here with go," Becky said moving away from the island as Seth looked nauseous.
"Get ready Bliss, Seth's about to blow-"
Seth suddenly threw up on the DX kitchen floor.
"-chunks," Bianca said as DX went to wipe up the vomit and Bliss helped Seth back to his feet with a bunch of his raven black hair in her tiny yet helpful hands.
"I think he's got it now," Shawn said as Bliss wiped Seth's face and gave him some water.
"Finally," Hunter said rolling his eyes, "what a Bonehead,"
Bianca waited for Seth to compose himself before continuing. Becky reached out from the other side of the island and squeezed his hand over the fruit basket.
"Are you okay?" she asked him concerned.
Seth nodded, "I will after I've had some more water," he replied and Bliss refilled his glass while Bianca and Becky watched him to make sure he was okay. Seth gulped down the water and took a deep breath, "Okay Bianca, go," he said to his Treasurer of Secrets as Bliss pulled loose strands of his hair out of his face and wiped his forehead. Once again, Bayley was making Seth sick to his stomach.
"That's right Seth, Bayley can't put Sasha's wedding ring on her finger without getting hit by Blue Thunder. Beth Hardy is immune to Blue Thunder because technically, she's one of us, however, because she has those feelings for you, if she makes a vow similar to the one Bayley made for you to fall in love with her, Bayley can use her to manipulate you. She'll become a Black Heart, just like Bayley," Bianca said.
"So, what are you saying, that Bayley's going to encourage Beth Hardy to lust after me like she did?!" Seth said. "But Beth's such a sweet girl, she'd never do anything like that,"
"She would if her mother put enough pressure on Bayley to get Sasha's wedding ring. All Stephanie cares about is that ring, she doesn't care that her daughter could end up like Bayley," Bianca said and Seth put his face in his hands.
"Okay, how do we stop this?" he asked the God girls.
"We can't stop it, all we can do is pray that Beth Hardy doesn't go through with it," Bianca said.
"Maybe she won't go through with it, she doesn't like me that much, does she?" Seth asked Bianca.
"Seth, she's 19, she's single and she's trying to please her parents, what part of that tells you that she's going to do the right ting?" Becky said shaking her head and Seth grabbed Becky by the shoulders.
"Then you have got to fix this Becky. You have got to get into that thick skull of Bayley's somehow before she messes up Beth's life," Seth said.
"What am I supposed to do? I tried to get close to Beth, she chose her family over me. She has to stand up to her mother all on her own," Becky said. "We can't force her to do anyting, we just have to have faith that she'll do the right thing. Hopefully, she'll realise you're not that cute and she'll not end up like Bayley, or else it'll be Bayley 2.0," Becky said but Seth could see that Becky was torn up over this news about Beth Hardy.
"Are you telling me you're just going to sit by and let this girl ruin my life?!" Seth asked Becky.
"No, of course I'm not," Becky said.
"Then do something about this, all of you. I want this dealt with before Sasha and I leave for Saudi next month," Seth said firmly and Bianca, Becky and Bliss nodded.
"You got it Seth," Bliss said.
"We'll take care of it," Bianca added.
"We won't let you down," Becky said.
"I knew I could count on you, now if you don't mind, I'm going to spend some more time with my son," Seth said as Roman arrived.
