1. Chapter 1

Chapter-1 Max

(A/N) I don't own Maximum ride. But I own this pickle.

I wake up to another day. Another morning, another school day of my boring, boring life. I hear my Alarm clock going off.

BEEP. BEEP. BEEP.

I roll out of bed and hit the floor.

"Ouch-" I mutter.

Clumsy much?

Shut up.

Yea. I talk to myself, don't you? Guess I'm not that boring after all. That voice in my head, its normal to me. Talked to it for a long time. It seems to give me good advice and helps me pass tests. It only does it for certain ones though, ones that "Matter"

They do Max. Trust me.

Whatever. Shut up.

Amazingly, it does. I get up and get out of my . When I take the shirt off, my 10-foot wings unfurl. Yea, I have wings, don't you? Huh. Guess I have an exciting life after all,

"Stupid wings" I grumble, shoving them back down. They have been acting up lately, springing up, and refusing to shrink down. It's so annoying. I wish I didn't have to hide them, but I know what would happen if I did.

Flashback.

"Mama, why do I hide my wings?"

"Well little Maxie, if people see them they will get so jealous and try to harm you."

"But why?"

Mom laughs and ruffles my hair,

"Because you are special Maxie. Nothing will change that"

End flashback

I enjoy reminiscing. I now know that there not jealous, I'm just a freak.

Max. School. Late. Food.

Oh, rights shit,

I thunder down the stairs and see my mom, Valencia Martinez, and my sister, Ella. Ella has no wings, but she knows about mine. I can tell that she is jealous, but I would gladly give them to her if it means no freak-outs.

"Honey you have to go now or you'll be late for school! Ellas already ready!
"got it, mom!" I grab a bagel a waffle and bacon and head out the door to the bus stop.

I'm greeted by my friend, Nudge.

"Oh my god, Max! It's so good to see you! How have you been! I've been great! I had such a fun time this-" Ella clamps her head on Nudges mouth.

"Thanks, Ella" Ella smiles back at me. I feel a little bad, lying to nudge. My family is the only one who know about my wings, and I prefer to keep it that way.
