Zac and Mimi were standing in Rita's kitchen. Zac had grabbed himself a glass of juice, when he accidentally ran into Mimi and spilled some on her, causing her to fall to the ground as her tail formed.

"Sorry." Zac said with a cringed "oops" smile on his face.

Mimi, who was laying in a puddle if juice on the floor, looked up at him and said nothing. She started moving her fingers and, using her powers, flung some juice onto Zac's legs.

Zac began to wobble and fell to the ground, his own tail forming. Mimi laughed.

"Hey, that's not nice!" He said jokingly. "When I splashed you it was an accident."

"Mmh, too bad." Mimi smiled.

Zac, using his powers, moved the juice off the floor and into the sink. They then both began drying out their tails.

Sirena, who had been sitting in the living room watching this, began to think of her own sibling, Aquata. Ever since Zac and Mimi found out they were siblings, something had been bothering Sirena about Aquata and her relationship with her.

Sirena wasn't there when it happened, but according to Odina, the moment Mimi found out Zac was her brother, she immediately went against Veridia to protect him. She got herself banished from the pod for him. And then Odina went against Veridia and got herself banished to stand beside Mimi, who wasn't even her sister or of any relation, but rather her best friend. The night Sirena herself had been banished along with Nixie and Lyla though, her own sister, Aquata…left.

Sirena remembers crying and yelling after Aquata not to leave her, but she did. Aquata swam off out of the moon pool and followed the pod. She had given her moon ring to Sirena first before leaving, which Sirena was and still is grateful for, but was it…enough? Enough to say that she could honestly trust and rely on her sister? Enough to say that she had a strong relationship with her? Sirena always thought she did, but now looking and Zac and Mimi, who have known each other for less than a year and have known they're sibling for less time than that, Sirena wasn't so sure anymore. Mimi got herself banished for Zac, and while he didn't come around right away, now that he has accepted Mimi, Sirena is almost certain he would do the same for Mimi.

Yes, Aquata did vouch for Sirena with the mermaid council, multiple times and got Sirena's banishment lifted. At the time, both Sirena and Nixie, even Rita, thought it was so brave and wonderful that Aquata did that, but now Sirena wonders, what if the banishment hadn't been lifted? What if the mermaid council had refused? Would Aquata have continued on living with the pod and never seen Sirena again? Sirena doubts Mimi would ever return to the pod if they don't accept Zac or at least her seeing him, but Aquata? Sirena feels things are different with her. She thinks Aquta could have very well stayed with the pod regardless and Sirena is… bothered by it. She wonders, should her sister be willing to do more for her, and if she isn't, does that mean that Aquata doesn't love her as much as Zac and Mimi love each other? Or even as much as Odina loves Mimi? These questions trouble Sirena as she watches the two siblings in front of her play.

Maybe she shouldn't be thinking these things. Maybe she shouldn't judge Aquata. After all Aquata's whole life is with the pod, meanwhile Mimi and Odina have discovered in recent months that they can have a whole life apart from the pod, apart from the sea even perhaps, so maybe it isn't fair to Aquata to expect her to be willing to give up the pod like Mimi and Odina were. For all Aquta knew, it could be just the four of them (herself, Sirena, Nixie, and Lyla) alone in the sea forever…until they had kids maybe, but then again, would that have been such a terrible thing? Terrible enough to be willing to let go of your sister forever? If Sirena's current group had to flee land for any reason, it would just be the six of them -herself, Mimi, Odina, Eric, Zac, and Rita…and maybe Evie if they couldn't unmermaid her.

Sirena went back to thinking about the things Aquata did do. She did give Sirena her moon ring, a big risk as Aquata herself may have not gotten another one. And she did negotiate with the mermaid council to get Sirena's banishment lifted, so it's not like she didn't care and it's not like she did nothing, but at the same time does Sirena wish Aquata would be willing to do more? The honest answer is, yes. Does she think Aquata would do more…the honest answer…is no.
