Sasuke made it a point to wake up early this morning, quietly getting out of bed so as not to disturb Sakura who was softly snoring into her pillow, oblivious to the world. He checked on Sarada, noticing that she was already awake, still sucking on her pacifier and rubbing the sleep from her eyes. He picked her up, kissing her forehead and instructed her to be quiet while he carried her into the kitchen.

His daughter was tasked with cutting up some fruit, standing on a step and brandishing her dull toddler knife while she ate most of the sloppy chunks spread in front of her. Sasuke got to work on the pancakes, pre-heating the stove and preparing all the ingredients. The girl continued entertaining herself with her fruit as she babbled, telling her Papa the most interesting story with her limited vocabulary. He nodded along as he carefully poured the batter, frequently agreeing with her or gently quieting her when she got too excited.

Finally, the pancakes were ready, one large stack for Sakura and a smaller one for Sarada. Sasuke picked the fruit his daughter cut, not before thanking her for her help, and artfully arranged the nicer ones on top of his wife's breakfast.

He cleaned Sarada's face and set her down, letting her help him prepare the tea and set the flowers and syrup on the tray. Once everything was done, it was mid-morning, and he was positive that Sakura would be awake by now.

"Are you ready?" He bent down to Sarada, laying a large hand over her head, slightly musing her silky dark hair.

"Uh-huh!" She jumped up and down. "Su'prise Mama!"

"Alright, can you open the door for me please?" He picked up the tray, leading her down the hallway to their bedroom.

Sarada's little feet pattered on the hardwood floor as she ran ahead of him, eager to surprise her mother. She reached up on her tippy toes and pushed the door open, charging inside the dark room.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAMA!" The toddler bellowed, running to her mother's bedside, hopping up and down to be picked up.

"It's Happy Mother's Day, Sarada." Sasuke sighed, chuckling as he set the tray down next to his wife and opened the blinds to let some light in.

"Oh my goodness!" Sakura exclaimed, pulling Sarada onto the bed to cuddle her. "This looks so yummy!" She giggled when the toddler pressed sloppy kisses against her face, cherishing all the love her baby gave her.

"We made you breakfast in bed." Her husband sat down, scooting the tray closer as he admired his girls. "Happy Mother's Day."

"Thank you, Anata." The young mother hummed as she leaned over for a kiss, smiling against his lips.

"I help! I help!" Sarada exclaimed, wriggling in her mother's arms, demanding their attention.

"You did? Thank you, Baby." Sarada giggled as her mother popped a strawberry into her mouth, humming in delight for the girl's amusement. "Mmm, so yummy!" She offered another piece to her daughter, Sarada's mouth automatically opening for the fruit.

"What would you like to do today?" Sasuke asked as he pulled Sarada onto his lap so his wife could tuck into her breakfast. He began feeding the toddler her own pancakes, cutting them up for her. "I can take Sarada out, give you a day to relax on your own."

"Hm," Sakura thought as she chewed her food. "I honestly would love to do nothing all day, but… I want to spend it with you." She smiled, gently bopping her daughter on the nose. "Just the three of us."

"Alright," he agreed. "It's your day."

The young family spent the rest of the day lounging in their pj's, cuddled under a blanket and watching all of Sakura's favorite movies. Later Sasuke picked up Sakura's favorite take out, even eating it on the couch instead of the dinner table, something they never did while he was home. He never let her lift a finger all day, taking care of Sarada's needs and making sure to clean up everything while she relaxed. Afterwards, the little family took a bath together, all of them fitting in their giant tub, with enough space for Sarada to splash and play with her rubber ducky. Sasuke offered to put Sarada down for bed, but Sakura declined, opting to rock her baby to sleep in her arms.

Once Sarada was asleep, the couple reclined in bed, Sakura's head leaning against his chest.

"Thank you, Anata. I couldn't have asked for a better day." She yawned.

"I should be thanking you," He kissed the top of her head, hugging her to him. "Thank you for being such an amazing wife and mother to our daughter. Sarada and I are very lucky."

Sakura giggled, snuggling closer to her husband. "I feel like the lucky one, truly."
