"Start spreadin' the news. I'm leaving today. I want to be a part of it. New York, New

York~"

"That's a cute song, Franny." Billie said laying next to Franny, her best friend since

childhood. "I don't recognize it."

"It's one of my favorite Frank Sinatra songs, New York, New York." Franny told the

brunette

Laying side by side on Franny's bed in the midst of the afternoon made them much

closer than they usually are. Franny's husband, Cornelius wasn't around much due to

him running probably one of the biggest industries to be in business at the time. To be

fair, it made Franny glad to have a close friend (or in this case relative) like Billie to talk

to during these times.

Franny wasn't sure why, but Billie entered her room an hour ago unannounced and

plopped onto her bed. They weren't physically close, Billie was actually on the opposite

side of the bed, but they didn't need to be. They had already been talking for an hour,

and it seemed they weren't going to stop until dinner.

This wasn't the first time they've spent an afternoon like this together, nor would it be the

last.

"Thank you for spending time with me, Billie. It really means a lot to me." Franny softly

said

"Well it was MY choice to." Billie chuckled

"It gets real lonely here without Cornelius." Franny sighed

"How come? You have us." Billie asked

"You see, I married Cornelius because I felt we had a real connection, but as the years

went by and Robinson Industries became bigger the less time there came to be for us to

be together. Even when he is here, he's usually focusing on his inventions and not me."

Billie listened intently, feeling a bit bad for Franny. She had put her gloved hand on

Franny's shoulder, and the next moment, they were both looking each other in the eyes.

Franny watched Billie's eyes sparkle, it was like falling into a whole other universe in her

eyes. Franny, in her mind, wanted to look away, but her heart was the thing that kept her

staring. Thankfully, Billie didn't look away either.

"You don't have to be lonely." Billie whispered

Quicker than with a blink of an eye, both women were hugging each other. Their hug

had shown their protectiveness for one another, and both of them felt each other's

warmth on their bodies.

While still wrapped in the hug, Billie looked up at Franny with longing eyes. They locked

gazes once again, only breaking to blink. The tension between them was strong.

Billie's eyes went half-lidded, and she made a demand that had caught Franny by great

surprise.

"Kiss me." Billie lovingly said

"What?"

Franny had no idea how to feel about what Billie just said. Both of them were already

married to men, but Franny at that moment had feelings for Billie that made it hard to

think up something to say back at her.

"Kiss me." Billie said once more

"But we're both already in committed marriages." Franny tried to turn down Billie

"Not romantically, but like, for comfort." Billie said, still not breaking eye contact with her

"Are you sure it'll be okay?" Franny asked

"Absolutely."

Franny hesitated for a second until she finally cupped Billie's face in her hands, and

went in for a deep kiss. The ice had finally broken.

Both of them sat up, and Franny took it through instinct to pull Billie onto her lap. The

brunette had lightly gasped, but was still okay.

This is what both of them wanted, and they were going to go through with it.

Franny's hands moved all across the foreign girl's smaller body. Touching every part that

she would be allowed to touch, causing Billie to make small, cute noises during the kiss.

Billie had her arms wrapped around Franny's neck with her hands buried in her jet-black

hair, all the while pulling them closer together.

Small gasps filled the room, but luckily they weren't loud enough to alert anyone.

Soon enough, their kiss had softened when they got past the shock. Franny's hands

had finally settled onto Billie's waist. Every now and then the smaller woman smiled into

the kiss, her arms wrapped around the other lovingly.

They both pulled away, looking at each other to make sure neither of them were

uncomfortable in any way. Luckily, that seemed to be the case. Billie's eyes were still

holding her universe inside them.

"You said this kiss wasn't going to be romantic!" Franny retorted

"It wasn't romantic!" Billie teased with a playful smile on her face

"Sure..." Franny joked

"Lay down. Cuddle me now." Billie stated, laying back down and patting the bedding

Franny laid back down next to Billie where they cuddled for the rest of the afternoon.
