"Do you, Julia Braverman, promise to take care of Aida Braverman and guide her spiritually for as long as you shall live?"
"I do."
"Do you, Adam Braverman, promise to take care of Aida Braverman and guide her spiritually for as long as you shall live?"
"I do."
"Julia Braverman and Adam Braverman, you are the Godparents of Aida Braverman."
The priestess looked between Julia and Adam.
"Absolutely not. I am not married to my brother. Ew. No offense, Adam."
Crosby laughed.
"Leave it to the oldest and youngest."
Adam laughed, shaking his head.
"Who knew? The troublemaker kids of ours are the well-behaved ones at Church."
Sarah and Crosby laughed.
The priestess christened Aida.
"I drop "Braverman" half of the time, Julia."
"We also haven't been married as long as they have."
"I told you not to hyphenate your name, Julia." Camille nagged her.
"Precisely why I hyphenated my name."
"Haven't you learned our kids do the opposite of what we tell them to do?"
"That is a good point."
"I think Julia is the only one who takes your suggestions in account." Adam pointed out.
"And that is why Julia is my favorite." Camille commented.
Julia laughed.
"Who is your favorite, Mom?"
"I don't have favorites."
"That's what every parent says."
"Because it's true."
"Victor is adopted."
"Sydney, do not say that. Ever again. Victor, you are as much our kid as Sydney is. Apologize."
Syd wasn't apologizing.
"Now."
"I'm sorry."
"Sydney Savannah."
"I'm sorry for saying you're adopted."
"But he is." Max stated.
"Adam."
"Max, do not say that to him."
"I'm sorry."
"Victor, ignore them. I ignore half of them daily."
He laughed.
"Seriously. I ignore them. It's worthless getting upset about. You can't change things. Nobody can. Nobody is perfect. Everybody makes mistakes."
"Yeah." Zeek agreed with her.
"Your mother is not the smartest."
"Excuse me? That's a sick joke coming from you. Your mother is-"
"Julia, that's enough." Zeek told her.
"Fine. I'll keep it to myself."
Julia walked out with Syd and Victor.
