Chapter 1

Why is my body so sore?

Was the first thought that flew through her mind when she opened her eyes. The Sun shone on her face through the window as she just laid there staring at the ceiling. She groaned and attempted to get up not noticing the arm around her waist. Her blue eyes looked slowly at the sleeping person beside her. She sat up and slowly removed the arm around her not disturbing the person in the process. She looked at the sleeping figure cuddling into the pillow while taking in the figure's disheveled hair and hickeys scattered across the person's gorgeous neck and beautiful chest. Chuckling to herself, she got up and wobbled about a bit before composing herself. Clad in just a bra and panties, she brushed her teeth and washed her face attempting to clear her mind of the sleepiness she still felt. She then threw on a t-shirt and shorts and took the trash out. Looking at her lover's clothes scattered around the bed, she just shook her head exasperatedly and threw the ripped clothes into the laundry basket. She looked at the girl with the brown hair framing her face and the traditional fang-like tattoos of the Inuzuka clan on her cheeks and smiled fondly. She then placed a quick kiss on her forehead and headed out to start the day.

The early mornings were always the best part of the day according to Naruto. She liked to stroll through the village, greeting the villagers and seeing her once former classmates and friends beginning their day. She was loved and adored by everyone but that was not the case a few years back. Her past years were filled with anguish and sorrow. But Naruto didn't mind. She worked hard to get to where she was and she was happy. She had gained the respect of the villagers and the shinobis. She just wanted her life to stay that way. Lazing around the village, doing the occasional A-rank or S-rank missions and cuddling with her girlfriend, she was happy.

Reaching Ichiraku Ramen, she greeted the old man before her. "Hello Teuchi-san. Good morning to you. Where's Ayame?". The old man turned towards his favorite customer. "Naruto! Good morning. Ayame's staying at home today. She fell sick. But don't worry. She will be all right". She ordered the usual ramen as her breakfast and took the usual groceries home with dango for Hana.

"Hana?"

She called for her as she entered the house. Setting the groceries down on the table and taking the dango out, she placed the food in the plates and kept it aside. As she was heating up the ramen, a pair of arms snaked around her waist and she felt her lover's breasts pressing onto her back.

"Good morning Hana. Slept well?"

"Well I was sleeping very well but someone decided to leave me unattended in bed"

Naruto turned off the stove and turned around, Hana then jumped up and locked her legs around her waist. "You are such a baby". Hana just giggled and tightened her arms around Naruto. Naruto just took the pot and with Hana straddling her, made her way into the kitchen and placed the pot down onto the table. She sat Hana down on a chair and gave her a quick kiss, "Now come on. Eat up your dango. Dad wanted me to report early to the Hokage tower for a meeting. I should get going early". Hana just looked at her. " Please don't tell me you forgot what today was". She just looked back at Hana with a confused expression on her face when realization suddenly dawned on her. "Shit! Today's the day the academy graduates right? " to which Hana just nodded amusedly. Naruto just finished her ramen hurriedly and changed into her Jounin outfit which consisted of a dark blue t-shirt underneath her jounin vest and black Anbu styled pants that fit snugly on her waist with her combat boots. She tied up her shoulder length blonde hair into a ponytail and set out hurriedly to the Hokage tower shouting goodbyes to Hana.

Reaching the famous tower situated in the middle of the tower, she spotted Kakashi entering the tower. She called out to him to which he turned around and waved at her.

"Did you get lost on the road of life again Kakashi-sensei?"

"Well a black cat crossed my path so I had to take a detour"

"How do you even do that creepy eyesmile of yours?"

He just shrugged nonchalantly as they reached the office. Entering the office, they spotted the rest of the jounins and the Hokage waiting for them. "Everyone's here? Good. I'll be reading the list of teams you will be heading. Please step forward when you are called. As he rattled off the list of teams, Kurenai approached the blonde girl silently.

"Naruto"

She looked down at the older woman before her. Kurenai just nodded to her neck and whispered "You might want to cover your neck". Naruto just blushed and adjusted her collar hiding the hickeys Hana had inflicted on her before she left. She nodded her thanks to the black haired woman before her and turned her attention back to the blonde man still reciting the teams.

"Uzumaki Naruto". She faced the man with the same pair of blue eyes that he had and stepped forward. "You will be leading Team 7 consisting of 4 genin". Mutters suddenly filled the air before Minato raised his hand for silence. He ran a hand through his spiky blond hair and continued speaking. "I know this is unusual. But you will be leading a team of four genin along with two others. Here is their file". She just took the file from her father and stepped back. He read off the remaining list of teams and gestured for the others to go out of the office whilst signaling Naruto to stay back.

"Explain what do you mean by 4 genin and two others"

The older man just sighed and stood up. He sat down on the couch in the corner while Naruto sat on his chair. Before he could start speaking, Naruto suddenly threw a kunai past him and it struck the Root ninja behind in the head.

"Danzo's becoming bolder these days"

The older man was just unfazed and set up a privacy seal around the office.

"Kushina was the one who requested this".

-Hello everyone! This is the first chapter of Naruto and my first time writing a story. Many of you may find this story similar to other stories and it might be true. I made Naruto older than in canon. She will be an OP character in this but she will have her flaws. Minato and Kushina are also alive and she has siblings.
