Chapter 1: That feeling

You know that wrong feeling you get sometimes? I had that feeling. My name is Sara Jackson. I am 12 years old. I rubbed my bracelet that turned into a shield that my good, dead friend, Lucas Magic, had given me.

"You know, studies show that still grieving four years after Lucas died is not healthy." A voice told me.

"Thanks, 'beth, but I have a wrong feeling. Not Lucas." I told her, turning around. Annabeth Chase, or as I liked to call her, 'beth, is a daughter of Athena. She looks like it to. When I first saw her, I nearly called her Athena. She came up the hill with Luke Castellan, a son of Hermes. That reminded me of the night Thalia Grace, Daughter of my uncle Zeus and my cousin got turned into a tree. You see, I have been at Camp Half Blood since I was four. When I was claimed, I met Lucas Magic. He was a true friend. And a son of Hecate. I also went to the winter solstice meetings. When I was seven, I was on border patrol when a horde of monsters came up the hill. They were chasing a satyr friend of mine, Grover Underwood, Annabeth, Luke, and Thalia. Thalia told them to get to safety and would not let me help. Annabeth and Luke are safe thanks to Thalia, but Thalia got turned into a tree. A year after, Thalia went dormant. A horde of monsters was going to destroy camp. I rallied the campers and split up the campers. With archers in the trees, Selina Beugauard with group 1, Charles Beckendorf in group 2, Lucas in group 3, and me in group 4, we fought off the monsters invading camp. Lucas died because of a Canadian.
