0x01: Meeting Grandfather Solomon

A car was driving passed the Welcome to Domino City sign, a petite and feminine looking teenage boy with dusty-blonde hair and slit amber eyes were seen in the passenger side of the car. He had earphone in his ears as he was listing to music on his phone, which was given to him by the social worker that was assigned to him.

Natsume sighed, he didn't know why his social worker was so happy about taking him to Domino City. It wasn't like his grandfather would keep him for more then a month or two, just like his other relatives. They all send him away because he could see things that no one else could.

All he wanted right now was his father, he wanted Ryoma. Ryoma is or was the last golden dragon youkai but now he was gone because of a greedy person was hunting him for his power. Nearly two years ago, Natsume had ran away from a horrible family, one of the worst that he passed too. The abuse he that he was suffering through was getting too much and so he just ran away one day. Not that anyone would care.

Natsume closed his eyes as he remembers the day that he meet his youkai father, Ryoma.

Twelve year old Natsume had just ran away from the horrible family that he was passed too. They were one of the bad ones, they abused him because they either thought he was lying about being able to see things that they couldn't or just through that they could beat the ability out of him.

Natsume had soon ran into a youkai that seemed to want to eat him. What the youkai said just proved what the twelve year old thought "What a delicious smelling human meal." The youkai he licked his lips before he lunged for the scared pre-teen. The dusty-blood blonde had kick the youkai hard, before running into the forest and soon heard the youkai chasing after him.He was running through the forest, trying to get away from the youkai chasing after him. He ended up running into a body. Before he fell backwards, arms wrapped around him and held him against them.

He looked up to looked to see it was a handsome man that he ran into but he could see and sense that he wasn't human, he was a Youkai. He was 6'2 tall, pale tan skin, long silver white hair and dragon-silt silver eyes but on his back were silver dragons wings.

"Who are you?" He asked in a nervous tone as he looked at the Youkai that was holding him in what seemed like a protective hold. For some reason, he felt safe with this Youkai, which never happened in his life.

"My name is Ryoma, human child. What's you're name?" Ryoma asked the human child that he is hold in his arms. For some reason, he feels very protective over him, never happened for. He has never felt this protective of either youkai children or human children.

"Natsume Muto." He said in a soft tone. He jumped in Ryoma's hold when he sensed and heard the Youkai that was chasing after him coming closer. He buries his head in Ryoma's chest as he whimpers, scared that the Youkai holding him would hand him over to the Youkai that seemed to want to eat him.

But he calmed down as he felt Ryoma running his hand through his short hair in a way that calm him down. "Shh, it's going to be okay, Natsume. I won't let that Youkai hurt you, you're safe with me." He knew that Ryoma would protect him from the youkai that was after him, and so he relaxed in the dragon youkai's hold.

Just then the Youkai ran into the clearing. "I finally found you, my delicious human meal!" It opened it mouth to swallow young Natsume but Ryoma turned into his full Youkai form, which was that of a massive silver dragon, pinning the small four-eyed Youkai to the ground.

"How dare you chase after and try to eat a human child in my forest! I hate seeing children hurt and you just tried to eat one in front of me! Begone!" Ryoma roared out in anger. He opens his eyes, sending beam of purify light towards the other Youkai, the light seemed to burn the other Youkai and causing him to running away.

He was pulled out of his flashback when he felt the car stop and heard his social worker telling that they were there. He opened his eyes, unbuckled his seat beat and got out of the car. He looked at the building to see it was a game shop, he have his social worker as confused look. Why were they at a game shop? Wasn't he supposed to be living with his paternal grandfather?

"Why are we here? I thought you were taking me to my paternal grandfather?" Natsume asked his social worker.

"I am. Your grandfather owns a game shop and he lives above the shop." The social worker said. She knew that the teenage didn't think that him living here will last more then a month or two just like his previous homes. She also knew that some of the homes were very bad, the last one had caused him to run away and be missing for a whole year. "Natsume, I know you think that this won't last like your previous homes but please try to give your grandfather a chance."

Natsume sighed, he didn't know why his social worker was even trying. Why should he try to give his grandfather a chance? His grandfather will just disappoint him in the end when he will send him away just like all of his relatives did in the past. "Fine. Not that it would matter in the end if I gave him a chance or not."

The social worker sighed, she knew that it wasn't Natsume's fault that he was like this but ever relative that treated him so horrible and getting rid of him after a month or two. He felt that he didn't belong anywhere in the world and had walls up to kept himself from getting hurt by the abandonment by his relatives. He would also never let anyone in, in fear of them hurting or abandoning him like everyone else in his life. "You never know, your grandfather can be different then everyone else. You could have a home and family here."

"I doubt it." Natsume simply said, not believing that he would find a home and family here. He didn't believe that he would ever find a home or family in the world. The one time he thought he had a place to call home and a family, even it was only him and Ryoma, it was taken away from by a greedy person.

The social work sighed again but decided not to say anything else about it. "Well, come on." She leads the dusty-blond into the game shop and to the counter.

Solomon looked up when he heard the door to his game shop open. He saw a beautiful with woman around her 20's with waist length black hair, fair skin standing at 5'10, and hazel green eyes. standing slightly behind the woman is a petite but feminine looking fourteen year old with short dusty-blonde hair and slit amber eyes.

"Welcome to Kame Game, I'm Solomon Muto. Can I help you with anything." Solomon asked in friendly voice.

The social worker gave a polite smile to the old man behind the counter as she spoke in a polite voice. "Hello, I'm Akia Ito, and this is my charge Natsume Muto, your grandson."

Solomon eyes widen in shock and another emotion that Natsume only seen in Ryoma's eyes, happiness. He moved from behind the count and over to Natsume, pulling him into a hug. "I'm so happy to finally meet you, my boy. I tried to find you after your father died but you were being passed around family so much that I couldn't find you. But that doesn't matter because you're finally here now."

Natsume's eyes slightly widen in shock when his grandfather hugged him and sounded like he was happy that he was there. None of his relatives that took him in never hugged him or were happy that they were taking him in. He didn't know how to react to this but he slowly hugged his grandfather in an awkward hug.

They pulled away from their awkward hug, with Solomon still smiling in happiness and Natsume looked away from his paternal grandfather, blushing in embarrassment. Akia smiled as she has a feeling that this would be the permanent home for Natsume, and the social worker knew that dusty-blonde boy deserved a permanent home after being pass from one family to another all of his life.
