Albus Potter starts his first week at Hogwarts, story starts at the end of the day from "19 years later."

The new first years prepared for the Sorting Hat, deputy headmaster Horace Slughorn called out the names of the students.
"Rose Granger-Weasley"
"No doubt about this one with your parents GRYFFINDOR!"
Rose jumped up with a big smile on her face, she was hugged by her cousin James as she went to the Gryffindor table. "Well done Rosie, let's save a place for Albus."
"Scorpius Malfoy"
The hat had barely brushed his hair when it shouted out "SLYTHERIN!"
Young Malfoy had a stunned look in his face as he walked to the Slytherin table.
"Albus Potter"
"Oh yes, I know all about your famous father but I think you belong in SLYTHERIN!"
James and Rose stood up and shouted "NOOOOOO!" as Albus disconsolately walked to the Slytherin table, just before he sat down he looked over to his brother and cousin who were stood with shocked expressions on their faces.

Next morning Albus came down to breakfast, he walked towards his brother before realising what had happened and went to the Slytherin Table and sat down next to another first year.
"Hello, I'm Scorpius, I'm new as well."
"I am Albus Potter, I think the Sorting Hat made a mistake. All my family were Gryffindor, my brother and cousin are over at the Gryffindor Table having breakfast."
"My father and grandfather were both Slytherin but I thought I was going to end up in Gryffindor. Cheer up, we have just started at the greatest magical school in the world."

The last lesson of the week was Herbology with Professor Longbottom, Gryffindor and Slytherin were together, Albus was able to say hello to his cousin before the lesson. At the end of the lesson Professor Longbottom said "well done everyone, I remember that my first week at Hogwarts was quite hard as well. I will not set homework this week, enjoy your weekend."
Scorpius said to Albus "glad that's over, I am ready for dinner." Before Albus could reply Professor Longbottom said "Albus, could you come with me please."
As they walked away from the greenhouse Neville said "Just to let you know you can call me Uncle Neville unless there are any non-family members or Hogwarts staff around, then it's Professor."
"No problem Uncle Neville."
"I hear you are upset about the Sorting Hat?"
"Just a bit Professor."
"Sorry to hear that, you know your father nearly ended up in Slytherin."
"Yes I know."
"Good to see you are making friends with young Malfoy, I knew his father when I was a student. Don't worry, we will soon have you back in time for dinner, the headmistress would like a word with you, she has something to show you that you will hopefully find interesting."
Five minutes later they arrived in the office of Professor McGonagall, headmistress of Hogwarts school.
"Here he is, thank you Professor Longbottom."
"Goodbye Albus, see you soon" and Neville left the office. Before anyone could say anything else the Sorting Hat spoke
"So young Mr. Potter, you think I made a mistake, don't worry, I had my reasons."
Then Professor McGonagall spoke
"Albus Severus Potter, do you know you came by those names?"
"Yes, my father told me I was named after two headmasters of Hogwarts."
"That's right, Albus Dumbledore was in Gryffindor but Severus Snape was in Slytherin. Both of these great men are now sadly no longer with us but you can see their portraits on the wall of this office. Here is Professor Dumbledore." Then Dumbledore's portrait started to speak to Albus
"My my, you do look like your father, you must me Harry and Ginny's son. What did they name you?"
"I am Albus Severus Potter Sir."
"Ah yes, thank your father for the honour of your name. I remember meeting your brother James two years ago? Are there any more Potters to come?"
"My sister Lily is two years younger than me Sir."
"I am dead, but my portrait can still talk, good to see you, welcome to Hogwarts." Then Dumbledore's portrait went back to sleep.
Then Professor McGonagall pointed to another portrait "This is Professor Snape" and then Snape's portrait started to speak
"Well well well, another Potter. What did they call you?"
"I am Albus Severus Potter Sir."
"What did you say? Your parents named their son after me! Well well well, what a pleasant surprise. I suppose you are in Gryffindor?"
"No Sir, I am in Slytherin"
Snape's face broke out into a rare smile "Slytherin eh? Congratulations, welcome to Hogwarts young Mr. Potter."
