Hey, guys! Here's a Rent-a-Girlfriend story I wrote focusing on Sumi. I hope you like it. ^^

Disclaimer: I don't own Rent-a-Girlfriend.

I love you, Kazuya.

Sumi gazed at the first four letters at the top of the letter she had just penned up. She couldn't believe she had written such words she couldn't bring herself to say to the boy she was thinking of. A shade of pink filled the shy cheeks which perfectly matched her hair. She placed a hand over her racing heart as she proceeded to read the letter, having wrote down far more words that she was capable of saying aloud to her peers.

I wish I could tell you that. I hate feeling so shy and barely able to speak around you - that I can't tell you how I feel I know I shouldn't be feeling this way, since I'm only a rental girlfriend - but I mean it with all my heart, Kazuya; I am truly in love with you,

A smile found it's way onto Sumi's sweet face as she thought of the boy she was writing the letter to - knowing he would never get the chance to read it.

No other guy has treated me the way you have. All my other clients have complained about me for being so quiet and timid. Not you, though, Kazuya. You've always been so kind and patient with me. You always encourage me to have confidence in myself; I'm so grateful that you believe in me when I don't myself.

A small giggle escaped from Sumi. Her smile softened as she thought about the time she had spent with Kazuya. The brunette boy always made her warm inside - as well as feel safe with him around.

You've always been gentle and supportive towards me - and you've also been protective too. I'll never forget how you saved me on our first date. You didn't have to come between me and those thugs - but you did. I'll always be thankful to you for that.

The blush on Sumi's face deepened. She was thinking back to the first date they had been on together to help her build confidence. She had been so nervous, unable to speak to or even smile at Kazuya - but that didn't put him off coming to her rescue when some punks had tried hitting on her. Even as they had insulted them, he hadn't cared, being only concerned for the meek girl's well-being.

I really do love you, Kazuya - and I can tell the one you love is Chizuru.

Sumi's eyes glistened as she read over the name of the other rental girlfriend she'd brought up in the letter. It had been through Chiruru her that she had met Kazuya in the first place, as the more confident girl had asked him to go on a practice date with her to boost her confidence. The pink-haired girl's smile remained on her face as she continued to read the note.

That's okay. I can see why you're in love with her. I only met you through Chizuru's kindness. She is just as nice as you are, supportive of me and trying to encourage me to believe in myself - exactly like you do. The two of you are a match made in heaven. It's about time you put an end to your rental relationship with her - so you can replace it with a real one.

Sumi paused from reading her letter as she pictured the idea of the two people on her mind becoming a genuine couple. She was certain Chizuru would put an end to the charade she was putting on in exchange for money from Kazuya. She may easily get wound up by the boy - but the quiet girl was confident there was a spark between the two of them.

Go for it, Kazuya. Go win Chizuru's heart. I'm sure you will with your gentle, kind, loving one.

Sumi was still smiling as she read over the last lines over her letter. She had every bit of confidence that Chizuru would become Kazuya's real girlfriend.

Far more faith than she did of winning the boy's affections herself.

Good luck, Kazuya!

I wish you every bit of happiness...

...and I love you.

Having finished reading the letter she'd written, Sumi read over the last three words again and again. She wished she could say them to Kazuya to his face, but she could not bring herself to do so. Not only did she lack to confidence to confess her feelings to the boy, but she was certain they were not returned to her.

Sumi sighed. If Chizuru did grow from being Kazuya's rental girlfriend to a real one, that was something she could live with. After all the two of them selflessly did to support her and be kind to her, she wanted nothing more than for the two of them to be happy.

With the same sweet smile, Sumi put the letter in a box underneath her bed where no one could read it. Feeling much better to let her feelings out to Kazuya on paper, even if she couldn't tell them herself to him, she sat down in front of the TV to watch her favorite anime, her hand affectionately petting the dog that lay by her side.

Thanks for reading. Sorry if this wasn't any good. ^^;

See you next time!
