Bella groaned as Alice asked her for the thousandth time if she was going to be, ok? All morning her family had been asking the same question.

Bella are you sure?

Today, the whole family minus her was supposed to go on a group hunt to Texas. Jasper had old friends that they could visit, and they wanted to help decrease the white-tailed deer population. Apparently, the deer were destroying Texas's grasslands and the cattle needed the grass which hindered the meat industry and what not. It was a domino effect. It had only been four months since they moved to Calgary, Canada but Bella was comfortable. She knew the security codes and protocols. They had nothing to fear and neither did she.

"but Bella are you- "

"Alice! Stop worrying! All of you stop worrying! You all need to hunt, and I refuse to ruin your hunt just because the human is home alone."

Their was a chorus of protest but Bella silenced them all.

"you guys we have been through this. I am a grown women. I have been by myself for a weekend before. Alice has checked and checked and nothings going to happen. Besides, I have all the emergency numbers. I can call the Denali's if I feel weird and if it comes down to it, I can just call you guys back. Please, I want you guys to enjoy yourselves. Don't worry about me."

All eyes turned to their coven leader as he stared at his daughter. She may not have been his biologically or by marriage, but part of his venom was running through her, even it was just trace amounts. With gentleness, he cupped her face, looking into her eyes. She was his daughter for all intents and purposes.

"you will call if you feel weird? Or uncomfortable?"

Bella stared into her adoptive fathers eyes. He had changed over the years. Ever since the coven returned into her life, he had taken on an active stronger role. The coven could no longer act like spoiled children. Carlisle had stood his ground and he was quick to put everyone in their place. She remembered one time, when Emmett had gotten careless and accidently knocked her down. Carlisle had ripped him a new one. She could never recall a time that Carlisle had been that angry. He had roared so loudly that the house shook.

After Emmett was thoroughly chastised, he apologized. He had gotten so used to her presence that he often forgotten himself. But that didn't mean he could just be careless.

"dad, im fine. I will enjoy a quiet weekend at home besides, I will have plenty of things to do. I have a few papers and a few letters to write. Go."

Carlisle stepped back and nodded. He trusted her judgement.

"alright. We will take our leave then."

With that said, her family gave her hard and yet gentle hugs as they filed out of there home. Only one held back though.

Bella looked at her company sternly.

"Go Edward, I will be fine."

"but love – "

"Edward!" Carlisle hissed as he appeared in the doorway.

Edward closed his mouth and immediately ran out the door.

Her father stared after him and then nodded at her.

Within seconds the house was silent, and Bella felt herself relax. It had been a long time since she had had her thoughts to herself. Everything had happened so fast and yet so quickly.

Soon after Edward had left her, she had become depressed, but it didn't last long. Her friends from school and la push wouldn't let that happen. And while she had some horrible moments, she had also had some good ones. It also helped that the Cullen coven minus one would call often. They had explained that they had been wrong for leaving her the way they did but that Edward had said that that was what she had wanted. That of course had been a lie. She had never said anything like that, and they believed her, but they did think it was a good idea that they stay away for a while, at least until they got their affairs in order. Bella accepted that and began to live her life the best way she knew how. she had found herself slowly falling in love again. Jacob black had been and still was her best friend. He phased into a wolf, but she didn't care. He was still her jake and with him came along a group of teenage boys. All of them helped put the pieces of her broken heart together. And everything had been fine…for a while. Nothing ever lasted too long in Bella's world. It was then that Laurent showed up. Upset that his coven members Victoria and James had been killed by the Cullen coven. The wolves tried to catch him, but it was too no avail.

It was around that same time, that a close family friend had a heart attack which he ultimately died from. This of course, set off a chain of events that would change Bella's life forever. Bella was extremely close to the clearwater family and the two grieving teens had come to her. As the three grieved her father had gone with the Clearwater's mother to help make funeral plans. At the same time, her phone had rung and Seth even his grief was still a gentlemen and had offered to answer the call for her, while she held his sobbing sister.

"swan residence?" Seth had croaked.

After a minute he shook his head.

"im sorry, he's planning a funeral…can I take a message? Hello? Hello?"

With a shrug, Seth turned towards her.

"sorry bell, must be a prank caller."

That day had set so many things in motion it made her head swirl. Apparently, it had been Edward calling to check on her. No knowing that the rest of his family had already reconciled with her, mainly because all of them had been absolutely disgusted and upset by his behavior that they kept him in the dark. With Edward thinking she was dead, he ran to the volturi claiming he wanted to be killed but Aro, one of the kings refused. Aro had quickly called Carlisle but there was no need, Alice was already gracefully entering the throne room with jasper beside her. They were there to stop there brother from being an idiot. Aro being able to see all their thoughts with just a touch, was understanding to the sadness and anger that Edward had caused but the law was the law and asked that Bella be changed. He didn't give a date, trusting that his old friend would be the law-abiding citizen Aro knew he was.

With that decided the Cullen coven had move back to forks and that of course, had been a blessing in disguise because Laurent had been on a rampage. He had quickly built what they called newborns. Vampires freshly changed, wild and savage. Tearing anything they could apart.

This brought many people together to fight them off. The Cullen's lead by jasper being backed up by the volturi and the wolves, were a formidable group. But the war didn't come without it wages.

What they hadn't known was that Laurent had sent newborns ahead of him to not only capture her, but her parents as well. Renee had been in town for her graduation. Proud of the women she had become.

They never got to see her graduate.

No instead they died by the hands of a newborn vampire and Bella had front row seats. The last thing her parents said to her as they tried to get to her was that they loved her, and they had never been prouder.

Angry and shocked Bella had distracted the newborns by cutting her own arm. The smell of her blood driving them nuts. Both wanting to have her, but only one could. While they fought amongst each other Bella grabbed some nearby lighter fluid threw it on the newborns and lit them ablaze, it wouldn't bring her parents back, but it aided some relief. But that relief was short lived. To her horror she realized she was bleeding out.

When she came too, she was in the Cullen's home, all seven of them never leaving her side. Along with them had been the pack. everyone praying that she would wake and when she did, to everyone's shock, she was still human at least partly. Her skin was not cold but significantly cooler.

Carlisle explained that when they found her, he had bitten her. She had loss to much blood to be driven to a hospital. When she cut her arm, she had cut a vein. The blood coming too fast.

Sam and along with the whole pack didn't care how they just wanted the doctor to save her and so he did. yet, she had sat up with brown eyes and beating heart. No one knew how or why but she was alive and what seemed to be mostly human, even though she now smelled like Carlisle. It seemed; small portions of his venom were running through her.

The memories of her parents death causing her to break down. Carlisle was the first to console her, and after him was Jacob. Whispers of comfort and love in her ear.

Time seem to move slowly after that. She had had so many things to do. She didn't want to sell her father's house. There were just too many memories. Together, she and Phil divided her mother's things and put her house up for sell. Through it all the Cullen's and the pack had stuck by her. All of them doing anything they could. Jacob had been her rock. She refused to take Edward back. She loved him but she had grown up. She needed a man and not a boy. But dating a wolf had its own consequences.

On the day of her parents funeral, she watched as her current boyfriend imprinted on one of her closest friends, tears slipped down her eyes, as Jacob black became Angela's Weber's. and while it pained her, Bella had been genuinely happy for them. Angela could be everything she couldn't.

It was then, Bella realized in that moment, she felt completely alone. She truly had nowhere to go. At least that's how she felt but after the funeral, without giving her a choice, the Cullen's had moved her into their home. Before she knew it, Bella walked the stage with the Cullen's and the pack cheering her on.

They stayed in forks about a year before it was finally time to leave. She had become severely depressed and both supernatural parties believed a change of scenery would due. She was quick to say goodbye to her wolf family. Promising to write and call.

And that's how she found herself in the living room of her family's new home in Canada. With a fresh start she had decided to go to college amongst her siblings. It was her freshman year, but she enjoyed it immensely.

She-

Bella moaned as warm lips trailed down her neck, distracting herself from her memories.

"your going to be late for work an cailín." Her lover whispered.

"mmm, when did you get here?" she asked.

"soon as ye coven left, the small one cant see me remember. Now, you should get dressed and Ill meet you in your truck."

Bella kissed her lover with passion and hopped up to go change.

Within the four months of being in Canada, she realized she needed something other than school to keep her busy. During her depression she was ashamed to say she had tried multiple suicide attempts all of which the Cullen's and the pack intervened. She was determined to never see the look of shock, anger sadness and guilt that displayed over her families face when they either gave her C.P.R to bring air back into her lungs or when one of them had to shove their fingers down her throat to have her retch up the pills. It had been a long road. So, for her to have some sanity left and not destroy those around her. She secretly applied for a few jobs and eventually found one just for her.

she became a Bartender and every once and a while her boss would ask her to take to the floor serving drinks.

Bella loved it. She had fun and those around her did too. She wasn't much of a drinker, but she would indulge every now and then.

With excitement, she curled her hair put on her tight black off the shoulder dress and red stripper shoes as her friends called them and strutted towards her truck.
