Toby, Sly and Happy pulled onto the O'Brien farm with a sense of relief. Getting to Callan from Los Angeles wasn't a short journey by any stretch of the imagination. Louise was waiting for them with a big smile and a massive hug. "My boy it is good to see you again!" She said as she squeezed Slyvester. "I was hoping Walter would be with you. But I've not heard anything from him" she said sadly. the team looked confused "Walter was booked on a earlier plane than us" Sly stated "He shouldve been here a few hours ago". Happy shrugged "Maybe Cabe called him and Paige for a case? He'd have taken it if he thought he'd get here in time- and Megan's pattern day isn't until tommorow" they all agreed it was the most logical reason. Toby messaged Paige asking her to let them know when they land and they thought nothing of it.

An hour later the team where surrounded by Walters family and neighbours chuckling away to all the funny stories from Walter and Megans childhood and their childhood pictures. Toby was just about to take a photo on his phone of a particularly funny one (of a one toothed toddler Walter grinning away covered in foam from Megan's elephant toothpaste experiment) when his phone rang. "Thats Paige- I'll talk to her outside" he said.
When he returned 10 minutes later the excitement was rolling off him in waves. He was grinning ear to ear. 'If he were a girl he'd be jumping up and down' Happy grinned to herself. Sly though was instantly suspicious "what's happened?" He asked suspiciously. Toby sat down on the floor in front of them "Its a long story but Paige forgot to swear me to secrecy and i'll burst if I don't say anything so i'll tell you. "Walter just found out he's a Dad." Everyone in the room was now shocked and invested in the conversation. The Narcissist in him was revealing in the attention and he addressed the whole room even though he knew some of what he was about to repeat wasn't appropriate to repeat to the family.
"A year ago Paige freaked out after a close call at one of our missions- I didnt ask which one, and she decided she wanted to make sure Ralph was well cared for if she was out of commission or died and we know what Drew is like" he nodded towards the team "Walters always been a dad to Ralph- he was the logical choice. She tricked him into signing the paperwork by hiding it within paperwork she was asking for signatures for. She wanted it to be a suprise. It took a year for everything everything to be finalised and though she's been dating Tim for 3 months Walter was still the obvious choice. So yesterday she gets the letter saying that Walter is Ralph's adopted father- she brings it into the garage sets it on Walters desk and takes Ralph to school- who sees it first?"
"Not good" Happy says "Not good indeed" Toby continues "So Walter comes in blissfully unaware with the intention of packing up to come here, when Tim goes for him out of the blue. Big Navy Seal versus a suprised Walter- who wins?" From the corner of the room Thomas snorts "obviously the Seal" poor Louise looked terrified for her son "Wrong!" Toby cries out happily "Walter in his suprise wacks him with a metal baseball bat- that belongs to none other then Bio Daddy Drew! Knocks him sparko!" Gasps of suprise fill the room as Toby continues. "So Cabe comes in and sees Tim laid out with a shocked Walter wondering why his employee tried to attack him, reviews the evidence and has Tim sent to the hospital cuffed and with a officer. He calls Paige who drives straight to the hospital to have it out with Tim. Apparently they've not slept together in the time they've been together so Tim immediately starts accusing her of sleeping with Walter, which we know never happened. They get into a row and she informs him that Homeland and Scorpion are cutting ties with him and dumps him. She comes back to the Garage with her stuff- gets there about 1.15 where Walter has now read the letter". Sly looks lost "but that'd still be pleanty of time to get to the airport even with traffic" he says confusedly. Toby grins like a Cheshire cat "So why were they late? Baring in mind Paige never slept with Tim" Happy clocked on quick "Damn Walt got in there quick!" Toby laughed "Apparently Ralph guilted them into bringing him with them for 'scaring him for life' and he didn't get back until gone 4" Sean looked impressed "So they are going to book the Avalon in Castle Corner so they don't make it harder on Louise with the extra bed needed." Louise who had up to that point been reeling in shock over the suprise of a Grandson and then the disturbing idea of her son having sex suddenly stood up "Oh no! You phone them up and tell him I'm having my family here end of discussion! I'm going to be having words with him as well about sex before marriage! He better have a ring on her finger before the end of the year". Happy saw a opportunity and grinned...
"He's got to wait for our divorce to finalise first".
Wanting the spotlight back on what he was saying first Toby turned to the team again and said in a stage whisper "Paige has asked us (motioning to the team) to not draw attention to his Hickey".
