Author note: I don't own Yakitate! Japan or The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

This is ANOTHER installment in the "Trials of the Wild" crossover series! If you haven't read the previous oneshots, or at least "The Breakfast Project," you might want to do so.

Also, like "The Molduga Adventures of Monica and Meister," this fic will ALSO be a two-shot and the second installment will come next week! I hope all of you enjoy reading this fic!

Defending The Domain

Summary: Sidon, Kawachi, Kai and Mipha might bite off more than they can chew with fighting off the Bokoblin camps approaching Zora's Domain…

1. A Heart To Heart

Mipha watched as Muzu frowned. She and Sidon both gave word about how bad and big the Bokoblin camps approaching Zora's Domain were at this point, and none of the elders, let alone Muzu, King Dorephan's advisor, were pleased.

"So that's how large the camps have gotten?" Dorephan frowned, leaning forwards as he sat in his usual throne. "It's important that we destroy them as soon as possible. I'll organize a few squads of our guards to assist in this mission."

"Thank you, Father." Mipha breathed. "We'll do our best."

Muzu looked towards the Princess, his frown still remaining. "Will those two bakers that came with you assist with this mission?"

"They will. They already promised to help." Mipha managed. "Why do you ask."

She noticed his thin brows furrow as he spoke. "I have my doubts about these bakers, and their capabilities, as well as the potential threats they bring."

"Threats?" Sidon frowned. "Pardon my interruption, but what sort of threats could they be? They are as strong as Hylians, Muzu. And through our interactions with them so far, they mean no harm. In fact, they simply wish to do good."

"We only started having Blood Moons after the bakers entered our world." Muzu pointed out. "Since Ganon's defeat, and before their arrival, we never had any. Could it be that due to their arrival, they've given Ganon some way to regain his power?"

"That doesn't make any sense, as far as I'm aware." Sidon shook his head. "The bakers have done nothing to harm Hyrule itself. Even if they hail from a different world, it should have no effect on whether Calamity Ganon has any power."

"I'm not the only one of us elders that thinks so, your Highness." Muzu still seemed concerned, continuing his frowning. "In fact, some of the other Zora have started wondering if that is the case as well."

"Well," Mipha cleared her throat, and both Zora turned to face her as she spoke up, "That's absolutely false. I'm sure of it. And we'll prove it. Kai and Kawachi already offered to assist us in driving back the Bokoblin camps during these next few days."

"Well…" Muzu looked towards Dorephan, who seemed lost in thought. "What do you think of this, my king?"

"Sidon has a point, as does Mipha." Dorephan answered him, looking Muzu in the eye. "We cannot be certain that the bakers' appearance in this world directly lends itself to Calamity Ganon having any further power. If that was the case, they would not be assisting us with trying to ward off his forces from this Domain, or be up to anything good."

"Hmm…"

Sidon took a deep breath, trying to repress a sigh. He knew that Muzu and the other Zora elders might have their doubts about the bakers, but even some of the younger Zora, too? That wasn't good. "Having our doubts against the bakers won't do us well. Remember how you once held doubt against Link when he first came here, after his hundred years of slumber?"

"Why, you-!?" Muzu's gaze snapped towards him, but Sidon gave him a look.

"And he helped stop the Calamity. These bakers may not know much of our world, but they, like Link, want to help as much as they can. There should be no restraint on that."

"Well…" Muzu's voice wilted, and he sighed, nodding. "I suppose none of us can stop you. But should you or Princess Mipha end up in grave danger, it won't be good for our people – especially Mipha."

"I've already died once, Muzu." Mipha frowned, looking towards him. "It's a miracle I am even back to life in the first place. And if I were to defend our people to death, if that situation occurs again, I won't hesitate to do that a second time."

"I have my reservations about that." Dorephan spoke up, and both Sidon and Mipha looked up at their father. "Both of you are the pride and joy of our people. Should either of you be lost this time, we'll be back to how it was before when Mipha initially passed."

"Then we'll do our best to make sure it doesn't end that way, Father." Sidon responded. Mipha glanced towards her brother; though he sounded confident, his eyes gave away something else. "Mipha and I will both come home safe, I promise."

Dorephan looked his son in the eyes, and Mipha swallowed as he spoke again.

"I hope," Their father's voice lowered itself, "That you can fulfill that promise."

A sigh left Sidon after he and Mipha exited the throne room.

"How could Muzu say such a thing?" Sidon swallowed, thinking of the advisor's words. Usually he tried not to let him or the other elders get to him, but to go as far as blaming the bakers for the Blood Moons was a low blow and made little sense. "I can't believe he'd go that far…"

"I know he's still trying to warm up to Hylians, as are all of the elders." Mipha looked up at him as they walked together. "We cannot expect them to warm up quickly, Sidon."

"That's fair, sister, I just thought…that they'd have more compassion, considering that they already know two of said bakers somewhat-well. Monica and Kuroyanagi, specifically, but still." The Prince shook his head lightly, pausing in his step. "I'm glad that Meister did not come here with us, though. I cannot expect that he'd have good reception here among Muzu and the elders."

"Probably not." Mipha admitted. "I know you and him already had a talk about Meister as is, back at Hyrule Castle…"

"We did." Sidon still remembered Muzu's warnings. "And I also talked with Meister about it, the morning after. He and I…" He faltered, before a soft sigh left him. "We're taking it slow, and privately." His voice went low at that. "And I think that's worked well for us so far."

Her smile turned mischievous. "Is this why you keep hanging onto the SHiekah Slate when no one else needs it?"

His face flushed lightly, but he nodded. "That…is a reason."

"I thought so." A low chuckle left her, before she offered him a more sincere smile, this time. "I just hope that it goes well with you both. If you ever need any help, let me know."

Sidon couldn't help but smile lightly. "What about you?" He asked. "Do you love Kuroyanagi, sister? I noticed you giving him some attention before we left Hyrule Castle for the Domain."

Mipha's face flushed, and she shook her head. "I know it's a bad idea." She managed. "He already suffered from losing a previous loved one when they had to separate, and I'm still trying to get over Link."

Sidon offered her a sympathetic smile. "I don't think the heart works that way, unfortunately."

"It's not." She admitted. She wished it could be so easy to logic her way out of it, but her heart had other ideas. "The question is, how do I break it to him when the time comes?"

"Just talk to him." Sidon managed. He paused, thinking of the few times Mipha told him about her unrequited love for Link. Even back when Sidon was much, much younger, and Mipha hadn't died the first time around yet, he knew that Mipha previously hesitated when it came to professing her love.

Not this time. This time was different.

"Is it really that easy?" Mipha asked.

"It might not be easy, but you have to try." Sidon insisted. "If it wasn't for Meister approaching me back at Hyrule Castle so we could both talk about our relationship with each other, I don't know what would have happened. You should do the same with Kuroyanagi when you have the chance."

Mipha offered him a smile. "I will," She breathed. "And…thank you, Sidon."

Sidon could only smile back. "You're welcome, Mipha."

He just hoped that she'd take the chance with Kuroyanagi when she could, before it was too late.
