Naruto Uzumaki Recently appointed Sixth Hokage of the Hidden Leaf. Recently appointed, how Recently? Day prior.

Yet, like a veteran Kage, he could already be found sleeping on the job. Having his head down, resting it upon an arm that extended the length of the desk, a bit of drool could be seen pooling in the hardwood below.

That was the scene Kakashi Hatake walked into, an eye smile present on his face as he got closer to his former student.

"Wake up sleeping beauty." The former interim Hokage called out, only to receive a slight murmur.

Shaking his head, Hatake put a hand to the sleeping Jounin's shoulder, "Wake up Naruto."

"Five more minutes." The blond answered back like a petulant child as he shifted around.

Raising an eyebrow, Kakashi states, "I'm not doing your paperwork, this is your seat now."

"I know! I know! But I'm so tired. The boys wanted to celebrate me taking the hat, and stayed up real late. Then Sakura got off from her shift and joined us for a drink… then hurried me home," Naruto answered as he sat up, rubbing the sleep from his eyes, "Even Kurama is tired."

"Sheesh, are you sure you two aren't dating? She indulges you way too much nowadays." The Konoha Jounin pointed out only to receive a dismissive wave, "Sakura is my closest friend, she's more of a mother than a girl anyways. You should've seen her this morning, it's the only reason I even got out of bed."

Kakashi nodded, after the end of the war, Tsunade up and quit the position of Hokage, which forced him to step up, though he didn't plan to hold onto the seat.

Thanks to some aid from Shizune and Sakura, he was able to shape and mold Naruto into someone fit for being Hokage, and now a year and few months after the Fourth Great Ninja War, the once loudmouth blond was not only one of Konoha's elite jounin. But a capable leader that understood enough to take on the responsibility.

It helped that Tsunade hadn't yet left Konoha and occasionally coached the blond, and Sakura who understood the position well as Tsunade's apprentice. It took time and patience, but they had chiseled out Naruto into a diamond in the rough.

And this, he now sat at the seat of power, 7 years after taking the loud blond as a genin. Now a grown and freshly minted Kage, it almost brought tears to Kakashi's eyes.

The blond stood up and stretched, yawning loudly as he drawls, "I'm hungry."

"Me too." The silver-haired Jounin agreed as they began walking out the door, "Ichiraku?"

"Ichiraku."

The teacher-student duo walked out of the office, and as they descended the staircase of the Hokage tower, they came across another one of their acquaintances.

"Hey, Shikamaru, aren't you supposed to be working?" Naruto asked scratching the back of his head.

"And you one to talk, Naruto?" Shikamaru stated flatly as he set aside the flaps to the stands.

The trip laughed as they went inside and had lunch, spending the hour reminiscing about their missions, the war, and the reconstruction. Shikamaru noted how quickly Konoha was rebuilding given just how a year and few months prior it had been naught but a crater.

Eventually, it was time to get back to work, and Naruto found himself in his office once more. As he sat down at his desk, he took his pen and picked up a piece of paper, reading its contents. Sakura, one of the best medic of Konoha was pitching to him the idea of opening a children's hospital. They had discussed it in private, and he was all for it, now he just needed to sign the piece of paper to approve the funding.

He laid it down on the desk to sign it, and as the pen landed on the paper, a violent jolly woke him up, as he struggled to catch his breath.

The first thing he was able to note was the smell, it didn't smell like his office, it smelled like a forest, looking around frantically, his eyes caught many colors, green, brown, red.

And then an unfamiliar voice, "Calm down, you're finally awake."

"Where am I?" The blond asked as he held his head, trying to stop the throbbing headache that was pounding away at his head.

"so, you were in your office, about to sign an important piece of paper, that's all you remember?" Irene asked sarcastically, "No idea how you ended up in the middle of a forest, in my kingdom?"

Naruto shook his head, speaking again, "Lady… I sure as fuck don't know how I got here, much less who are, but could you tell me if you know how to get back to Konohagakure from here?"

Irene quirked an eyebrow, "Konohagakure? No such place exists to my knowledge."

"Huh… well that's a bummer."

"Well, I can tell you that my nation has a need for soldiers, I can sense that you are strong so if you live long enough maybe I'll promote you." The red-haired queen brought up, "Join me, and maybe I can help you out as well."

"You do realize, I can't join you. I am a foreign leader… I'm pretty sure one of those diplomatic books Kakashi-sensei gave me said as Hokage, I can't just cast aside my oath of office and join someone as cannon fodder… that's treason and unbefi-befitting? Of my Station," the blond informed as he stood up and shook the dirt from around him.

Tired of waiting for the intruder, Irene turned to her Dragon companion, "What do you think Belserion? How many levels of drugs is he on?"

The Dragon chuckled, "I don't know, I find him to be functionally sane."

"He can't be." The redhead scoffed, "He refused to join my army. Only fools and crackheads refuse to fight for their Queen."

"Irene, he smells like an outlander. I'd listen to him, and heed my warning, he's not to be trifled with."

The young Queen stuck her tongue out, "whatever you say, big guy. Whatever you say."

Eventually, the blond turned about, causing her to ask, "What's wrong with you, you look like someone died."

"Something like that." The blond murmured as he began to walk away.

"Hey, blondie! Where do you think you're going?" Irene asked as she grabbed his wrist, "You're still a stranger in my lands, caused a large magic anomaly that destroyed half my forest. You are not walking around unsupervised."

"Yeah, whatever queeny. I'm hungry, I need food, so try, try to stop me, weirdo." The blond grumbled as he shrugged her off.

Flustered she responded' "how dare you address me with such casual disrespect you ruffian!"

To make her point valid, she raised her staff at the retreating back of the stranger and fired off an energy orb. However, the blond stranger disappeared in the blink of an eye, "Trying to kill a man while his back is turned to you?"

Suddenly, she felt a cold and sharp edge on her throat, as she could feel the man standing behind her, "Luckily for you, I can forgive such a pretty face easily enough."

The blade was lifted from her back, and she turned to her draconian companion, "Belserion! I thought you had my back!"

"I would've stepped in if he actually intended to harm you, young one." The dragon answered, as he narrowed his eyes, "Now stranger, what is your name?"

"Naruto Uzumaki, recently appointed Sixth Hokage of the hidden leaf." The blond introduced himself, "Now… really, I'm hungry, and not in the mood."

"Wait, how are you going to acquire food? If your story is to be believed, you have no money, no shelter, you might as well be a homeless vagrant." The woman asked, having been shocked by the strength, or rather skill he displayed, she knew she needed him in her corner.

"Whaddaya want?" Naruto asked, side-eyeing the woman.

She immediately shifted into diplomatic mode, years of practice offering just what he needed, and attempting to appeal to him hoping he had a sense of decency, "I can offer you both, food and shelter, even a steady income… just.. please, Dragons, evil ones are ravaging nation after nation, hurting innocents. My kingdom is no different, I am Queen Irene."

"Well, that does sound kinda bad… I guess it could be worse tho, you could have Madara Uchiha lose in these lands," a shiver ran through his spine as he uttered the name, which was noticed by the young redhead.

"I tell you what, if you can provide me with a warm dinner, and promise to help me find a way home, I'll consider joining your little army. But make no mistake, I am no cannon fodder to feed to whomever, so don't expect to order me or lead me around the nose," Naruto paused for a moment to sigh, which she used to answer.

"I find that agreeable, as long as you agree to fight for my cause." The queen wove in, lacing her fingers forwards as she stretches her hands, attempting to use some of her feminine charms.

"Fine, I guess that's the best we are gonna get out of each other," Naruto answered, looking towards the Dragon, "I'm guessing you are one of the good guys no?"

Belserion gave him a nod, "Irene and I here were just talking about a development in the war that may turn the tide against us, we created Dragon Slayers to turn the battles in our favor, magic capable of killing us dragons. But it has the side effect of driving some of the users mad."

"I see, that can be a problem, and you didn't know about this beforehand?" This time, the question was addressed to the queen, who shook her head, "No, Dragon Slaying arts didn't exist until nearly a decade ago. You could say I was its creator."

"I'm no medic, so I can't help you with that issue. But in my experience, powerful weapons tend to have powerful side effects." The blond stated, "I'm guessing magic is what you call your techniques. If it's anything like we have back home, even things created with good intentions can have negative consequences."

"But, I digress, I am very tired, disoriented, and I don't even know where I am, so, could you please point me towards some food and a bed?"
