Goku carefully observed his small irate wife from a safe distance.

Boy was she mad.

He had done it again, he had ticked her off! He didn't mean to make her angry, not that he ever truly meant to, but he still did nonetheless. Of course, he had run off on another adventure, promising he would be back soon and that he would be okay. They were always his famous last words ... words which would then become a heavy burden on his shoulders, and cause pain to his wife.

Truth is, a lot of the time he wouldn't be back soon, and he wouldn't be okay. Truth is, time always got away with him, he would get himself into some sort of trouble and end up needing to save the Universe. He either came away from it in bad shape ... or it cost him his life. Nothing ever went smoothly with Goku, everything was just pure chaos. Goku didn't think sometimes, he acted on impulse, he was quite reckless in his ways.

Goku loved his family with every fiber of his being. He gave his life for them on more than one occasion. He trained hard in order to protect them, he fought off countless evil beings so that they could live in peace. But underneath that heroic armor, he was a man who craved violence. He was a man who needed to fight the strongest of opponents, whether they were evil or not. He thrived on the challenge, needing more with every fight he had. It was never enough for Goku, he always wanted to improve and break through his own limits.

It had to be his Saiyan genes. At least, that's what he would tell himself. Sometimes he would catch himself reflecting on his actions and he would feel disappointed in himself and question his reasoning. Other times, he simply let is go over his head. He was careless.

Goku sighed as he watched his wife try and compose herself by the lake, the evening now drawing in. She had yelled at him ... really yelled at him. She was so angry she had to leave the house and get away from him. She 'couldn't look at him' anymore ... her words ...

Being scolded was an all too regular occurrence for Goku. Chichi always yelled at him for something. For running off fighting, for being away for too long, for being late, for dragging mud into her clean house ... but there was something different about the way she yelled today...

She was angry, there was no doubt about that. Real angry. But there was an undeniable aching look on her face, almost as if her world had come crashing down around her. He wondered what she was thinking ... he wondered what was really bothering her. She had accused him of being reckless when she was yelling at him. She told him how selfish he was, how he didn't think about his family. Goku didn't know what she meant, he had just returned from his fight with Moro and all was good in the world again. Why was she so angry? Surely she should be happy that the Earth was safe and he had come back alive?

Goku exhaled deeply, and ventured out from his safe hiding spot and walked over to his wife. She was sat at the edge of the lake, which wasn't far from their home, her body slumped, her eyes gazing off into the distance. Goku cautiously sat down behind her and gently he pulled her against his chest.

Chichi allowed him to pull her to him, which Goku was very grateful for, but she said nothing as he held her. Goku debated on what to say for several minutes. He had no idea what he was supposed to say because he didn't understand what he had done wrong. His large hands, which were embracing her, travelled down to her lap where her small ones were resting. He took them in his, his thumbs brushing over the back of her dainty hands as he sat in thought.

"Goku" she suddenly spoke, her voice quiet and tired.

"Hmm?" he hummed in question, feeling nervous as he still didn't know what to say to her.

"What were you thinking?" she questioned. Goku cocked an eyebrow.

"What do you mean?" he questioned back, completely lost.

"What was going through your mind when you were fighting Moro?" she retorted more firmly.

"Umm ... well, I was thinking about beating him, I guess" Goku answered quite honestly. Chichi went silent again. Goku sighed, he had to know what was bothering her.

"Chichi, what did I do? Why are you so mad at me? I don't understand what I did" he half whined. As if on cue, he felt his little wife's Ki shoot up instantly.

"What did you do?!" she snarled, "What did you do?!" she repeated herself in anger, pulling away from him so she could look him in the eye. Goku put his hands up in defense automatically, a sweat droplet forming on the side of his head.

"Uh, yeah?" he pushed innocently.

"THIS!" She bellowed, her hands reaching for his white tank top and yanking it down to expose his chest, "This is what you did!" she seethed. He looked down at his chest and then back at her, his eyes noticing the shine in hers, the tears threatening to fall. Oh no ...he didn't want her to cry, he hated that. But he was still not understanding her ... what did he do?

He looked down at his chest again, failing to see what was wrong ... until suddenly, he understood.

"Chichi-" he tried to talk to her, his hands reaching for hers once more, but she pulled away and stood up.

"Don't, Goku! Just don't!" her voice broke as she attempted to walk away from him and the lake. Goku shot up and was in front of her in seconds, he was not letting her walk away until they had this out.

"Chichi, look at me" he asked her.

"I don't want to" she argued, trying to pull her right hand free from his grasp.

"Please, Chichi" he almost begged, her fighting against him starting to annoy him.

"Let me go!" she fumed, still trying to get away from him.

"It's the scar ... isn't it?" he questioned her. Chichi went silent and she stopped fighting. He could feel the tension radiating off of her body, she was trying so hard to stop herself from crying. Chichi couldn't speak, in fear of breaking down into tears. She couldn't cry right now! She needed to be angry with him!

"Do you not like it?" he wondered out loud. Chichi's frown deepened, if at all possible.

"What? Do I not like it? Like it's some sort of accessory? Are you serious?!" she snapped.

"Then what is it?" he pushed, frustration now evident in his voice.

"YOU NEARLY DIED! AGAIN!" She screamed. Goku swallowed and let his wife's hand go. The emotions he could see from her were so painfully clear. She was disappointed and she was hurting ... and he really didn't know which one was worse. He knew he hurt her a lot throughout their marriage, and it always made him feel terrible, but knowing his wife was disappointed in him ... now that was something else ...

"Chichi-" he started.

"No, don't you Chichi me! Don't you dare try and sweet talk your way out of this one! It WON'T WORK!" She howled

"Chichi, honey, come on" he tried again, his hands reaching for hers in another attempt to comfort her, "I'm just fine"

"Ohhh, you're just fine, are ya?! Well then that's all that matters, isn't it?!" she spat, sarcasm evident in her voice.

"Chichi" Goku called.

"NO!" she screamed, pulling away from him once more, "Don't you DARE disrespect me! Telling me you're fine, telling me it's all okay! When it's not! You might be fine, but I'm NOT!" the tears were now falling from her glistening eyes, Goku felt a pang of guilt in his heart.

"That scar is a reminder, Goku! It's a reminder that you are NOT invincible! All my life I have worried about you! You go off and fight battles and I'm left wondering if you are safe, wondering if I will see you again. You died TWICE, Goku! TWICE! You left our family for 7 years the last time! You left me to raise our two boys alone! You made no attempt to talk to me about it, you just went and decided to stay dead!"

"Chichi, we already talked about this, you know why I didn't speak to you, I wasn't allowed to" Goku tried to reason with her.

"It doesn't matter! My point is you always do this! You make decisions without talking to me about it. I am your WIFE, Goku! No matter what decision needs to be made, you should be including ME! We are supposed to be a team! I am always the last to find out, I am always the one who is left behind"

"Chi, I don't get what this has to do with my fight with Moro"

Chichi growled in complete frustration, her face was wet from the tears, her eyes were burning.

"Because you didn't say anything to me, AGAIN! You left, you had to fight this Moro and save the Universe and you nearly died, AGAIN!" she shrieked.

"But I didn't die" he counter argued.

"And there it is! That is exactly what you said to me when you came home, and you think that's ok?"

"Honey, I really don't understand what the problem is" Goku shrugged, "I saved the world and I came home"

"The problem is you don't CARE!" She screamed, so loudly even he winced, "You don't care that you nearly died, you don't care that you had a hole through your chest! You don't care that your body is scarred! You don't care how I feel about it! You made a reckless decision to fight this Moro, with no thought about us!"

"That's not true, I do care" Goku responded calmly

"NO YOU DON'T! Stop lying to me!" She raged.

"I am not lying" Goku returned, irritation in his voice now, "Don't tell me that I don't care!"

"If you cared about any of this, if you cared about your family and saving the Universe, why did you give Moro a Senzu bean?"

Goku froze. How did she know about that? Chichi crossed her arms, the look of shock on his face a tell tale sign that he didn't know that she knew about that.

"Yeah, that's right, I know about that. So explain that one to me" she barked. Goku peered down at the grassy ground beneath him, how the hell did he get himself out of this one?

"Chichi, I gave Moro a Senzu bean because I didn't want to beat him whilst he was down. I ... I couldn't, that's not me. If I'm going to beat someone, I want them at their best, not at their worst. I tried to talk to him, to see if he could just go back to prison with Jaco quietly, so I didn't have to kill him. But it didn't work" he explained.

"So that was more important to you than saving the world? Not killing him was more important than keeping us safe?" Chichi pondered.

"No, that's not it!" Goku shot back.

"He tried to kill you, he hurt our son, you almost lost your friend Meerus and you think it's okay to even consider sparing him? Have you learnt nothing from your past? You didn't put Frieza down when you should have! and he came back to try and kill you! You gave Cell a Senzu bean, when you shouldn't have! and you ended up dying after that!" she started yelling again.

"I tried to change Frieza, but he refused to listen. I thought I killed him, but he survived the planet's explosion. I gave Cell a Senzu bean because I knew Gohan could beat him! It may not have gone exactly how I wanted it, but he DID beat him!"

"There it is again, it didn't go how YOU wanted it. Not how WE wanted it, not how I wanted it" she shouted, her hands clenching into tight fists at her side.

"Chichi, you know I didn't mean it like that, I just had a plan and it didn't quite go the way I planned" Goku returned.

"Was I even in that plan of yours? Am I ever in your plans?" she asked in a much quieter tone. Goku approached his wife again.

"Chichi, you are always on my mind, you and the boys. I fight to keep you safe" he gently told her.

"NO! You fight for yourself! You just want to fight people who are stronger than you because you love the challenge" Chichi argued.

"Yeah, I do love the challenge, I ain't denying that, but I also have a reason to fight. You are that reason. I have always kept you and the boys safe, that's my job!" Goku reminded her.

"I used to think that..." Chichi trailed off, her gaze on the ground beneath her. Goku frowned at her response.

"You honestly don't think I fight to keep you safe? You don't think I care about your safety?" he questioned her seriously. Chichi didn't answer. Goku grew very frustrated at her silence.

"How can you think that? After everything I have done? After everything we have been through? I have given my life twice for you and Gohan! I wouldn't do that if I didn't care about you!" his voice was rising as he vented his thoughts.

"Goku, you have saved countless people's lives, people who you don't even know. You must have cared about them to save them. What's the difference?" Chichi muttered harshly.

"The difference is that I love you!" he shouted.

"You love me? Did you love me when you chose to say goodbye to everyone except me at the Lookout?!"

"Chichi, for the last time, I wasn't allowed to talk to you! I asked and I was told no!" Goku shot back.

"But you were allowed to talk to everyone else? Why was that any different?" She asked.

"I was allowed because they were going to wish me back and I didn't want to be. I had to stop them! That's the only reason why King Kai allowed me to talk to them"

"If you loved me you would have said goodbye to me! You would have found a way! You wouldn't have left me like that" she cried out, "Do you know how much that hurt? Knowing you said goodbye to everyone, but not me? You just run off to the Cell Games and that was last memory I had of you!"

"Chichi, I'm sorry that it hurt you, I really am, but I couldn't do anything about it" Goku spoke more softly.

"I don't want an apology. I want you to understand! I made my peace with all that a long time ago, but after everything that happened recently, I just feel like it's all happening again. You don't communicate with me! You didn't then and you don't now!"

"But I didn't leave you this time, Chi! I came back! I'm right here!" he took her trembling hand and placed it on his chest for her to feel his beating heart, "My heart is beating, I am alive, I'm here, Chichi"

"I know" Chichi whispered, "But you just don't see how fragile you really are. Look at what you did to your body when you pushed it too far against Hit. You could have killed yourself! But you just didn't think about it"

He couldn't really argue with that one. Sure, he knew that there was a price to pay on his body when using the Kai-o-ken to that extremity, but he didn't really think about the possibility of it killing him.

"And then you hired that same person to try and kill you! And he did! Your heart stopped beating! It was just pure luck that you managed to get it going again with that Ki blast you set off"

Shit, how did she know about that too?

"I feel like you put your life on the line all the time, with no thought as to what it would do to me or the boys" she spoke more gently, "you think it's just you that is going to be affected by your actions because it's you that gets hurt or nearly dies, but it's not, Goku. You affect all of us! I am always the one who is left to pick up the pieces. You weren't there to see how your death affected Gohan" she felt sick to her stomach just thinking about it. Gohan blamed himself for Goku's death for a long time. He had so much guilt weighing heavily on his heart, he went through a lot when they were grieving Goku. He had constant nightmares, he would randomly burst into tears during the day, he would barely leave the house. But Goku never had to deal with any of that.

"I know that" he quietly acknowledged.

"But you don't know that. You weren't there. The thought of losing you again ... I just couldn't bare it, Goku. I can not lose you again" she cried. Goku instantly held her shaking form and pulled her into a warm embrace. He rested his head on top of hers and let her cry.

"Chichi" he gently called her name, "Chichi, it's okay. I'm not going anywhere. I don't actually want to die again. I made the mistake of staying dead for them 7 years, I won't be doing that again".

"I wish I could believe you" She whimpered into his shirt. Goku sighed into her hair. He didn't know what to say to her to make her believe him.

"Chi, when I do things like that, I'm not purposely trying to kill myself. I know sometimes the things I do are risky, but I believe that my body can handle it. I have faith in what I do and the skills I have as a fighter. I been fighting my whole life, Chi, it's the one thing I'm actually good at, and it's a massive part of who I am. I can't help but be the way that I am, I don't know much else" he finished quietly.

Chichi closed her eyes, sniffling back her tears. She held onto her husband's shirt a little tighter. Just how did her husband make her go from being so angry at him, to feeling bad for him?

"Goku, you are good at a lot of things" she spoke gently, her cheek resting on his warm chest.

"Not really. I can fight and keep you guys safe, I can hunt animals and cook'em on a fire, I can survive off the land, but not much else" he murmured. Chichi pulled her head away from his chest so she could look up at him.

"You can drive, you provide for us with the farming you do" she reminded him, "and you can cook more than just a few animals on a fire. You know how to cook rice and some vegetables. You know how to clean up around the house, you just don't do it" she poked him in his side, causing him to yelp slightly.

"You know how to love our boys, and play with them and make them smile", she continued.

"And what about you?" he suddenly questioned, his eyes gazing deeply into hers, looking for an answer.

"Goku, I just wish you weren't so thoughtless". she answered honestly.

"Are you still happy with me?" he suddenly asked her, a longing look in his eyes.

"What?" she asked out loud, surprised he would ask her that.

"I don't feel like I make you very happy. I'm always doing something wrong or hurting you", he admitted, "If i'm not making you happy, then maybe ... maybe I should leave" he trailed off sadly.

"Goku" she croaked out.

"I just want you to be happy Chichi, happy and safe. That's all I want" he whispered sadly.

"Son Goku" she scolded, "Don't ever speak like that!" she warned, taking his face in the palm of her hands.

"Then answer me, are you happy?" he questioned again. Chichi stared at him for a few moments, the tears threatening to reappear again.

"I love you, Son Goku. I have always loved you. No matter what you do, I will never stop loving you. Having you come home after those 7 years, was the best thing to happen to me in such a long time".

"You haven't answered my question" he pushed. The urgency in his voice and the panic in his eyes was overwhelming. As much as Chichi hated to admit it with how angry she was, she was still very much in love with him and so very happy with him.

"Yes, I am happy with you" she answered him, immediately feeling the relief in him as he relaxed his tense shoulders. Goku wrapped his large, strong arms around his wife's petite body and let his forehead rest against hers. His fingers stroked her back as he closed his eyes.

"I'm sorry" he whispered. Chichi closed her eyes, her hands resting on his chest, the feel of his fast heart beat vibrating down her arms.

"I know" she whispered back. She really did know he was sorry. She couldn't recall how many times he had said that word, it was honestly too many times to count, but when he said it, he meant it.

They stood in silence for a few minutes, just enjoying being close to each another, and enjoying the gentle breeze as it caressed their skin.

"I hate making you sad" he spoke lowly, "I hate that I hurt you"

"Goku" she sighed, "I can't keep doing this with you, it's emotionally exhausting. I need you to think before you act, think about what it would do to me and the boys if something happened to you".

"Honey, it's not that I don't think about you, because I do! You are the first person I think about when things go South. You are the one who comes into my mind every single time". Goku tried to explain.

"Goku, it just doesn't feel that way to me, "she tried to make him understand again, "You don't talk to me, you make such big life changing decisions without me, you put your life at risk and you are just so carefree about it. I don't think I want to be around for the next time it happens. I don't know if I can handle it again" Chichi slowly pulled down his shirt to look at the scar he had there. It was a large scar, round in shape, and it was still fresh.

"You have never had a mark like this before. You were always able to heal and all your wounds disappeared ... but this one ..." she trailed off.

"It's just a scar, honey" he gently soothed as he pulled her in closer so she could rest against his chest, his head then resting on top of hers.

The thing is, it wasn't just a scar to her. To her it was a massive reality check. To her, it meant her Goku wasn't this indestructible warrior that she always naively thought he was. She learnt the hard way that in fact, that was true. Loosing her husband once was a hard pill to swallow, the second time was like a bullet through her chest. She barely got through his second death, she was just thankful she had Gohan to help her get through it. She couldn't have done it on her own.

Finding out she was pregnant set her back a few steps, she was so low and so depressed after finding out. A part of her didn't want to carry on, her hormones due to the pregnancy didn't help with that. Gohan seen her at her worst. She never wanted to go through that again. Having her Goku back was like her lungs were deflated, then suddenly refilled with air. Precious air to bring her back to life, to get her heart pumping and her blood rushing. Her children meant the world to her and she loved them and was proud of them and they brought her so much joy, but her love for Goku was a different love. Goku made her feel things in a different way, a way no one could understand, except him. He completed her.

Having that back was overwhelming and almost too good to believe. She would wake up in a panic some nights, thinking it was all a dream, but there he was ... there was her Goku, sound asleep next to her. He made her stomach do somersaults, butterflies just didn't quite cut it. He kept her on her toes, he brought out her rage so easily, yet he squished it like putty in his hand. He ignited a fire in her that was almost unperishable. He completely set her body alight, the flames so strong and so bright, she outshined the stars. He was her peace, yet he was also her storm.

She couldn't lose that again.

She was suddenly distracted by a cold wet substance that landed on her shoulder. She pushed herself from her husbands chest, her eyes glancing up at the darkening sky, another small droplet grazing her cheek. The air was warm, but the light breeze that was picking up its speed, was almost icy on her skin. There was a loud roar of thunder and seconds later, the rain followed. Both Goku and Chichi gasped at the sudden downpour. The rain came down so hard it almost hurt, stinging their skin and blowing into their eyes and mouth. It was a heavy pelting of water that thundered against the ground and the lake beside them.

They both just stood there staring at each other, laughter abruptly erupting from both of them as they got drenched. Goku was the first one to react as he took her hand and started to make a run for the house. They both continued to laugh, almost breathless as they made the short journey home, flashes of lightening visible in the distance. Goku swung the front door open and gently shoved Chichi in before him, closing the door quickly behind them.

They were still giggling like children as they examined each other, droplets of water pooling on the kitchen floor from their saturated bodies. Goku chuckled some more as he saw how flat his normally wild hair was. He started to remove his shoes but went rigid and silent when he caught his wife's eyes.

Kami ... her eyes ... they gripped him, bewitched him and seduced him. His breath was caught in his throat as he watched his wife undo the buttons on her cheongsam, her arms then raising up, motioning for him to help undress her. Goku took hold of the top half of her cheongsam and pulled it up and over her head. He silently watched her as she removed the sash from her waist, both that and her skirt and underwear dropping to the wet floor to join her top. She stepped out of her wet clothes and pulled her hair from it's ribbon, her soaked dark locks sprawling across her shoulders, back and chest.

Goku's heart beat like a jackhammer in his chest and his pulse was racing as he watched her remove her lacey white bra. Chichi took his sudden stillness as an opportunity to undress him as well. She untucked his now almost see-through tank top and started to pull it up his body. Both of them let out a chortle as Chichi struggled to get it off him, it was so wet it was practically stuck to him. Goku helped her to remove it, carelessly chucking it to the kitchen floor with her clothes, causing a splat sound as it hit the tiles. Chichi grasped him by his Gi sash and forcefully yanked him to her so that their bodies were almost touching. Her eyes never left his as she undone the belt and let it slowly slip through her fingers and drop to the floor.

Goku swallowed hard as she undone the small tie on his Gi pants and let them fall to his ankles with his boxers. He stepped out of them and kicked them from him, pressing his huge muscular body against her tiny little frame. His left hand caressed her hip whilst his right hand stroked her cheek, a little raindrop suddenly racing down the side of her face, so he caught it with his thumb. He traced his moistened thumb along her cheek and towards her lips where he sensually rubbed his thumb along her bottom lip. Chichi let out the breath she was holding in and gently pulled away from her husband and started walking towards their bedroom. There was no hesitation as Goku followed her.

Once inside their room Goku grabbed her hands instantly and pulled her to him. He rested his forehead against hers, his large powerful hands grasping her by her hips, to pull her cold, wet, naked body against his. Through heavy eyelids, he gazed into her eyes as his fingertips lightly stroked up and down her sides. Her hands were on his chiseled chest, the feel of his strong heart beat calming her, the heat from his body radiating around her. Her eyes couldn't help but focus on the scar he had there, a reminder that she almost lost her husband again. Goku noticed the lingered stare from his wife, so he gently tilted her chin up with his thumb and index finger, so her eyes could meet his. His lips suddenly found hers in a gentle kiss and the world around them simply stopped.

The kiss intensified, their mouths moving together fiercely, Goku's tongue forcing its way into Chichi's mouth. Goku walked them to the edge of the bed as their mouths moved sensually together. He took her by her hips and pulled her flush to his hot body, lifting her and wrapping her strong but slim legs around his waist. He moaned against her hot mouth as she rubbed the bottom half of her body against his. His one hand gripped her drenched hair at the back of her head, droplets of water aimlessly trickling down her back.

His lips left hers and began kissing across her cheek and down her chin. Chichi hummed in contentment as her husband began kissing down her neck and collarbone, his teeth nipping at her sensitive skin. Goosebumps spread across her body, the hairs on her arms standing up as his lips descended lower. Goku's hungry eyes caught another little raindrop running down her chest from her soaking wet hair, a little smile forming on his lips as he watched the droplet slowly run over her left breast, latch onto her nipple, and then gently drop off.

He led his little wife down on the bed, his large arms cradling her small body as he continued to kiss her. He rolled his hips against hers, his pulsating manhood rubbing against her clit.

"Goku" she gasped.

Chichi arched her back against the silky bedsheets as Goku's mouth found her left breast. He sucked and nipped her hard, lightly tanned nipple, his left hand fondling her other breast, causing little moans to escape from his wife's mouth and her hands to dive into his messy wet hair. As he continued his descent, Chichi groaned harder as his hard shaft poked her inner thigh. She reached down and swiftly gripped him by his erection, his whole body tensing, his breath ragged. He bit the skin on her stomach, making it known what she was doing to him, causing her to gasp, but that didn't deter her sneaky hand from stroking him up and down.

Goku moaned as she sped up her movements, his head raising from her body to look at her. She pumped him faster, his head involuntarily lolling as his forehead rested against her chin. He gasped against the skin on her chest, his hands gripping the bed sheets on both sides of her. Chichi reveled in these moments ... bringing the worlds strongest man to his knees.

Her thoughts were rapidly interrupted as she felt him rip her hand from his throbbing length, his mouth capturing hers in a hard searing kiss. He rested his bodyweight on his left elbow as his right hand went wandering below. She whimpered against his mouth as his skillful fingers found her clit. He rubbed her expertly, the moisture forming between her legs causing a guttural sound to escape his lips as he kissed her. He tugged at her bottom lip with his teeth, his eyes studying her as she withered beneath him.

"Goku" she roughly croaked out, "I need you, now" she commanded.

Fuck.

Goku gripped her by her thighs and spread her legs, desperately heaving himself into her wet opening. They both released pleasurable moans as he penetrated her deeply, her hands gripping him by his shoulders and her fingers digging into his skin. He started with a slow and steady pace, his hands all over her body, her hands buried in his unruly hair. Goku sped up his movements, Chichi shifting her hips to make it easier. The sweat on their skin glistened in the moonlight, their gasps for air and their moans echoing around the room.

"Go-ku" she rasped, "don't stop!"

Goku's hips bucked at a frenzied pace, his fingers digging into the flesh of her thighs as he held in her place. He kissed and nipped at the skin on her neck as he continued to pound his strong little wife. Chichi cried out his name, her fingertips clawing at his back as she reached her peak. She threw her head back and lost it beneath him, her walls tightening around his twinging cock, almost instantly sending him over the edge to join her. He growled into her neck as he came, his whole body convulsing above her, his fingers most certainly leaving marks on her skin from how tightly he was gripping her.

They both remained in their positions as they caught their breath. Goku panted heavily into her neck as she held onto his head and run her fingers through his hair, her eyes closed as she succumbed to the aftermath of their love making. Goku turned his face so he could plant a gentle kiss on her sweaty neck, before pulling his face away from her fully so he could look at her.

Chichi smiled a genuine smile, a satisfied smile. Her smile lit up the entire room, more than the lightening did. He leant on his elbows, both to the side of her, his hands cupping her head and stroking her hair. Her left hand rested on his shoulder and her right hand gently stroked his cheek. They both gazed lovingly into each others eyes, Goku pressing a small kiss on the palm of her hand before resting his cheek in it.

"I love you" he told her gently, "I love you so much". Her heart melted, her fingertips gently caressing the skin on his cheek.

"I love you so much, too" she replied softly.

Goku rolled off of her and led on his back, motioning his wife to come to him. She snuggled up to his abnormally warm chest, a small hum escaping her mouth as she rested contently. Goku covered them up with the sheets and wrapped his left arm around her body, his right hand resting on top of hers on his chest. The couple lay in silence, listening to the harsh rain as it hammered against the window. Goku's right hand lazily drew circles on his wife's hand.

"Where's Goten?" he quietly asked. Chichi snorted.

"You just noticed he wasn't here? she questioned. Goku chuckled.

"No, I noticed earlier but didn't wanna say anything then because we were in the moment". Chichi shook her head, slightly amused.

"He's with Trunks. He has been nagging me all day to stay at Trunks' house, so in the end I give in". Goku smiled before placing a kiss on his wife's forehead.

"It's a good job he stayed there tonight" Goku thought out loud.

Chichi smiled against her husband's warm chest, a small "hmm" escaping her mouth in agreement. Goku rested his head against hers as he observed the rain pelting against the window. He watched as the raindrops drizzled down the glass, the droplets glimmering with every flash of lightening. He knew that they would talk about things again tomorrow, and he wasn't particularly looking forward to that. But he hoped that there would be less tension between them now. He hated fighting with his wife, he honestly meant what he said when he told her he just wanted her to be happy.

He could feel his wife drifting off beside him, her calmness causing him to relax and close his eyes.

"Goodnight, Chichi" he whispered.
