Chapter 1 - A Normal Family
Kansas City
"(Two months. Two months have passed since our encounter with those evil duplicates, the memory of seeing myself from another earth killing herself still haunts my dreams from time to time, in a way me and my partners haven't recover from such impact but we are doing our best to keep going. I requested permission to Commander Heidern to take some months out so I could visit my family who lives in Kansas. Especially since in a few days it will be the birthday of my little sister Kula.)" - Thought Whip arriving on a cab to the place where her family lives, a small farm in kansas city
"Here's the place, missy." - Cab driver
"Thanks, you can keep the change." - Whip
Whip arrives at a small farm with a house, where she sees not other than her brother K' waiting outside the house.
"So, Heidern gave you those vacations you wanted?" - K'
"He gave me three months for a little break. So. I hope you're prepared for having me here bothering you those three months." - Whip
"I doubt you can be more annoying than Maxima and Kula." - K'
"How are things going with her? Is it true Foxy and Diana want to send her to a private school?" - Whip
"She is fine, she is still a annoying brat..." - K'
"Seriously, please tell me you two haven't been fighting again." - Whip
"She gets on my nerves if that's what you want me to say." - K'
"K' I know she can get on peoples nerves sometimes but you need to be more kind with her. We are the closest thing she has to a family so we can't just be fighting between us all day." - Whip
"Whatever you said." - Said K' in a dry tone
"As for your second question, we are not planning to send her to a private school. Diana managed to sign her on a local school, she will start attending classes tomorrow." - K'
"She wants her to have a normal education." - K'
In that moment the door of the house opened, it was Diana.
"Seirah? We didn't thought you would arrive earlier, come inside! Kula has been waiting for you." - Diana
"Hey, Diana. Is nice to see you, how are things going?" - asked Whip entering to the house
"Good I guess, Maxima and Foxy managed to find jobs on a small company, so most of my weeks I have to take be alone with Kula and certain someone who has been telling me he is going to find a job but hasn't." - Said Diana looking angry at K'
"I told you already that I'm still searching for that job." - Said K' who started watching tv
"I hear you manage to sign Kula to local school, must have been hard." - Whip
"It was kind of hard but thankfully Maxima helped us, he and Foxy went to the closest mall to buy some stuff by the way." - Diana
"And Kula?" - Whip
"She is on her room, she loves the phone you purchased for her last birthday." - Diana
"Glad to hear that." - Whip
"Kula! Come here, sweetie. Seirah is waiting for you." - Diana
Diana called Kula but there was no answer
"Argh! She must be using her earphones right now." - Said Diana preparing two knifes to cut some vegetables for dinner
"Don't worry, I'll go check her out." - Said Whip walking up the stairs.
Whip was in front of Kula's room, she decided to hit the door before entering.
"Kula, is everything alright? Is me Seirah." - Said Whip knocking on the door
For Whip's surprise there was no answer again
Whip managed to open the door with a kick, inside the room she found Kula looking at the window of her room
"Hi, Seirah." - Said Kula in a sad and dry tone
"Kula. Is everything ok?" - Whip
"No, everything is awful." - Kula
"Wait what? Why do you say that?" - Whip
"Alot of things, first off tomorrow is my first day in school and I don't know what I'm going to do. I have never go to a place like that... And. And what if nobody likes me." - Said Kula
"Oh, Kula. Don't say that, is normal that you're felt that way but you mustn't be afraid. I'm sure you will make tons of new friends there, you're a pretty great and fun girl." - Said Whip smiling to Kula
"Really?" - Kula
"Yes." - Whip
"But what if they do experiments with me there? I don't want to be a guinea pig again." - Kula
"Don't be silly, the school is a place to learn and socialize. Nobody will do experiments on you." - Whip
"Are you sure?" - Kula
"Yes, I guess you didn't talked with Diana or K' about this?" - Whip
"Don't mention him! I'm still angry with that jerk K'." - Kula
"Can I ask what he did this time? Have you two been fighting again?" - Whip
"No. Well, yes we have been fighting but that's not the main problem." - Kula
"The main problem is that the other day I spend hours making a perfect gift for him, sewing a sweater with all my efforts only to find it on the trash hours later." - Said Kula with a sad tone
"Oh..." - Said Whip surprised, she didn't know what to say after hearing that
"... That idiot! I'm really sorry, Kula." - Whip
"Why do I even bother with him?" - Kula
"Huh, tell me, Kula. Do you still felt that way for him?" - Asked Whip
Kula just looked down, she couldn't answer. On one hand she had feelings for K' and wished he felt the same way for her, on the other hand she was wishing to strangle him for hurting her.
In that moment Kula and Whip heared a voice in the main room
"Why did you took so long!?" - It was Diana who was talking with Foxy and Maxima
"There was alot of people in the mall." - Foxy
"C'mon, Kula. We have to help Diana with the dinner." - Whip
"Ok." - Kula
"And don't worry, I'll make sure to talk with K' about the gift." - Said Whip smiling to Kula
Walking down the stairs Whip was greeted by Foxy and Maxima. The five prepared the dinner meanwhile K' was still watching TV
"Aren't you going to help us?" - Said Whip while she was preparing the dinner table
"No." - K'
"(How lazy can you be, brother?)" - Whip
Whip and her family had a calm dinner that day, with Kula still being mad at K' but enjoying the company of Seirah.
Later that night
"Hey, are you still awaken?" - Said Whip knocking on her brother's door
"What do you want?" - K'
"How is that you didn't told me about the sweater that Kula made for you and you throwed into the trash like nothing?" - Asked Whip with the sweater on her hands
"That thing, listen I never asked her to make one for me. I really don't know how did she thought I would be wearing that." - K'
"How insensitive of you! She spend hours making it and you thank her like that, you should be ashamed!" - Whip
"Whatever you said! You can keep it if you want it, just close the door and let me sleep already." - K'
"Alright, I'm gonna keep it. I'm starting to think you will never change, you're still the same idiot you were when we first meet." - Said Whip slamming the door of the room
"Hmph!" - K'
The next morning
Kula was looking at her school uniform in the mirror
"So, what do you think?" - Whip
"I don't like it. Do I really have to wear this while I'm there?" - Kula
"Yes, is part of the rules of the school." - Whip
"How do you know that, have you been to a school before?" - Kula
"No. But don't worry, you will get used to wear it." - Whip
"Oh look at the hour. Do you want me to walk you to your school?" - Whip
"No, thanks Seirah but I know where it is." - Kula
"Really? Well, then good luck on your first day. And just be yourself." - Whip
Kula walked off the stairs and said goobye to her family before going to the school
"Goodbye, Uncle Max. Goodbye, Foxy. Goodbye, Diana." - Kula
"Goodbye, Kula." - Maxima, Foxy and Diana
Kula opened the door and saw K' sitting on a chair in the entrace of the house
"Good luck." - Said K' on a very bored tone
"... (Sigh). Goodbye, K'." - Said Kula without looking back at K', she was still hurt
Kula came out of her house and started walking outside in the streets. She was greeted by one of her neighbors
"Good morning, Kula." - Said Mr. Rogers
"Hi, Mr. Rogers." - Kula
As Kula walked down the streets, she passed in front of a black van with two men in suits that were reading a newspaper. The two looked at Kula while she continued walking.
"Is that the girl?" - Asked one of the men
"It is." - Said the other men after looking at a picture of the woman they were searching from... It was Kula.
"The target has abandoned her hideout, should be follow her?" - Strange man
"Yes but don't be so suspicious." - Said a strange voice in the man's headset.
