Hey guys!

So, the idea of this is that you have your copy of Allegiant and you read or skip up to where it says in the fic. You then continue reading the fic until the section ends and you move onto the next part ect...

Disclaimer: Everything in italics is Veronica Roth's writing but the rest is mine.

Sadly, I don't own the Divergent Trilogy

Enjoy!

Chapter Fifty- Tris- From Page 474

That's why I need to stop you from 'sacrificing' although people and their memories. Why I need to rid the world of you once and for all"

I shake my head.

"I didn't come here to steal anything, David"

I twist and lunge towards the device. The gun goes off and pain races through my body. I don't even know where the bullet hit me.

I can still hear Caleb repeating the code for Matthew. With a quaking hand I type the numbers on the keypad.

The gun goes off again.

More pain, and black edges on my vision, but I hear Caleb's voice speaking again. The green button.

So much pain.

But how, when my body feels so numb?

I start to fall, and slam my hand into the keypad on my way down. A light turns on behind the green button.

I hear a beep, and a churning sound.

I slide to the floor. I feel something warm on my neck and under my cheek. Red. Blood is a strange colour. Dark.

From the corner of my eye, I see David slumped over in his chair.

And my vision goes black

Chapter Fifty-one- Tobias- From Page 489

We get out, and Zeke seizes his mother's hand to steady her as she shuffles through the snow. As we walk into the compound, I know for a fact that Caleb succeeded, because there is no one in sight. That can only mean they have been reset; their memories forever altered.

"Where is everyone?" Amar says.

We walk through the abandoned security checkpoint without stopping. On the other side, I see Cara. The side of her face is badly bruised, and there's a bandage on her head but that's not what concerns me. What concerns me is the troubled look on her face.

"What is it?" I say.

Cara shakes her head.

"Where's Tris?" I say

"I'm sorry, Tobias"

"Sorry about what?" Christina says roughly. "Tell us what happened!"

"Tris went into the Weapons Lab instead of Caleb" Cara says "She survived the death serum, and set off the memory serum, but she... she was shot. And the doctors don't think she is going to make it. I'm so sorry"

No, this can't be true. Tris inches from death. Cara must be lying but from the look on her face I can tell it's the truth.

"No" I whisper, shaking my head.

"Tobias" Cara says placing her hand on my shoulder.

"No" I say again, louder this time her shrug her hand away. I head away from them and hear them call my name but I don't turn back. I don't want their pity.

When I reach the infirmary, I stop the first nurse I see and ask about Tris.

"I'm very sorry Sir but I don't think you should be here. I'm not sure it's advisable to let you see her in her fragile state"

I grit my teeth together. My Tris is not fragile. She is a fighter and will get through this no matter what. I know she will. She has to. For me. I can't imagine a life without her in it. The only things I can see without her are bleak. There will be nothing left for me in this world if she isn't here.

I shove past the nurse and open the door of Tris' room. She is lying on the bed as pale as the sheets she is on. Around 5 different times are connected to her body and she looks thin.

"She's lost a lot of blood" the nurse stands behind me watching warily, "she has about a 20 per cent chance of pulling through"

I close my eyes and nod slowly. I feel tears build up behind my closed eyelids and I blink trying to rid them. I turn away from Tris as a tear falls down my cheek and I leave the room. I can't bare seeing her like that.

Chapter Fifty-two- Tobias

I spend the next few days either alone in my new apartment or with Christina. She is the only one who understands. I haven't visited Tris again because I can't see her like that without breaking down. It tears me up inside to see her pale and weak when all want to see when I look at her is her determined bravery. She makes me feel braver when she is around and she makes me whole. Without her I am lost and the only person who understands is Christina so she's the only person I see nowadays.

We sit in my living room in silence. This is the way we usually spend our time. In silence. Both of us working out different ways the Weapons Lab could have played out. Fi feel both angry and grateful towards her brother. If Caleb had gone in instead of Tris then maybe she wouldn't be near death but then again if Caleb hadn't found her when he did, she would be dead for sure.

The door suddenly flies open and Cara sprints in.

"It's Tris" she pants as I fly up off my seat.

"What's happened with Tris, Cara?" I say, panicking slightly. What if she has gotten worse what if her chances of living are worse, what if she is... No, I can't even imagine Tris being gone.

"She... she"

"What is it Cara!" Christina cries.

"She... she made it! She's alive!" For a moment I just stand there trying to process what Cara had just said until it finally hit me. Tris is alive. She is okay. She's not going to die!

"She is still fairly weak and is going to probably find it hard to recover after losing so much blood..." Cara rambles on back to her Erudite ways as I push past her and go to the hospital my heart beating faster than ever.

Hands shaking, I open the door and enter the room. Tris is sitting on the bed reading and talking to Caleb about something. Caleb has his head in his hands. He is crying.

"Caleb please don't feel like this! It's not your fault "I hear weak voice as she comforting her brother.

"I almost killed you Beatrice! How am I meant to feel! I should never have let you go in my place!" he sobs.

"No Caleb you saved me! You are the one who found me in time!" She tells him as I shift against the wall I am leaning against. Tris hears me and glances up, a wide smile splitting her face. I smile back at her. Caleb notices me and hurriedly stands, wiping his eyes. He looks at me warily and he heads towards the door. I catch his shoulder as he passes,

"Thank you" I whisper. He nods and leaves leaving me alone with Tris. I walk over to her bed and sit down.

I can't decide whether to leave this as a one-shot or write more chapters so please say what you think and leave a review I would really appreciate it!

Thank you!
