"Why did I do this again saving that girl was it to play hero or for a futile redemption.?"

Academy City a city of several schools and institutions of higher learning from kindergarten to university level that learn side-by-side along with the scientists who research on psychic powers and higher technology, the latter being one of the primary reasons for its establishment. It is the most advanced city in the world and its technology is said to be 20 or 30 years ahead of the world.

At a certain hospital a skinny teen with pale skin, moppy white hair, and red eyes wearing a white shirt with gray V patterns and a choker-style electrode asked mentally as he is resting on a hospital bed.

After a failed attempt at sleeping, he then got up from the bed and looked out the window.

"Erhhh Getting sent to the hospital after that bastard Amai put a bullet on my forehead it feels so pathetic that I want to cry because of that accident my brain calculation is now depending on others and I can't even walk without a cane, what kind of joke is that.?"

He complained as closed his eyes trying to mentally adapt to the events until someone walked into his room.

It was the doctor assigned to him. The doctor appears to be stout, bald-headed with remaining gray hair.

"Hey, how is your wound healing?" the doctor gently asked.

"It sure is better now though I haven't got used to this brain calculation assistance device yet." The white-haired boy answered as he tapped his choker-style electrode.

"Yeah I bet, your state is so different from before so I'm not doubting that for that reason in order to get used to that device how about you taking a walk as a rehabilitation activity?"

"Huh? taking a walk? , hmph what a drag that's just unlike me"

"You can practice walking with that walking stick it also may help you change your mood, don't you think that is a good idea?"

"Tch." The boy clicked his tongue and thought inside his head "Sleeping all day does make me like a fool as well and this room will be fucking noisy when the brat comes back for sure."

"I feel like I want to have some canned coffee after a while so I will go to the convenience store outside of this hospital."

"Hmmm glad to hear that make sure to do your best okay." The doctor said and proceeded to leave the room.

"Mind your own business! it's just a mere walk out of this hospital." The albino spat out in denial to the leaving doctor.

After walking around the albino found himself resting in an unfamiliar park near the hospital.

"Yet I'm still uncomfortable walking with this cane dammit my shoulder is killing me ugh I don't have any power left in my legs too the fact that this situation forces me to take a rest does make me want to laugh so hard dammit." The boy cursed.

"Ugggh I am Accelerator the mightiest esper in all of Academy City my ability is to control all vectors like momentum, heat, and electricity. At one time I took part in Project Level 6 Shift and as a result, I have to rely on this piece of junk to be able to walk and talk right ending up as a basket case."

The white-haired boy known as Accelerator thought to himself.

"Did I deserve this, was this a punishment of some sort, or do I unknowingly want this but I am in denial ?."

Accelerator asked himself while sitting down on the park bench.

"I mean they told me they're not living, the sisters are okay with this, I thought the third-string interrupting was somehow a part of the experiment, if I did obtain that absolute power would I gain even the peace I wanted?

Accelerator continued to ask himself.

"Tch" He clicked his tongue "It doesn't matter anymore victim or not I am still a son of a bitch who deserves to be punished by being disabled and taking care of that brat."

He concluded as he tried to relax.

"Do it like this..." A female voice said loudly which Accelerator tried to ignore.

"and "U-i-ha-ru!" A strange girl with blue eyes and long black hair with a small, white flower on the left side of her hair shouted loudly with cheerfulness and joy while what appears to be in a dance-like posture.

"Don't tell me she was doing dancing stuff by cheerfully moving her arms up and down?."

Accelerator asked mentally as he looked at the strange eccentric girl.

"Hmmm.. Although it wouldn't be as strong as railgun would at least this makes the wind move or does it lack force? Alright then"

The girl said to herself loudly.

"U-I-HA-RU !" The girl screamed loudly what seems to Accelerator a battle cry with no care for the other people in the park.

"Shit, she's so noisy dammit should I move?" Accelerator said to himself annoyed and unable to relax because of the annoying weird girl as soon as Accelerator stood his feet felt wobbly.

"Alright then,wha-!? My feet is.. argh." He collapsed. "dammit" On the ground he cursed.

The girl noticed him and approached him to help.

"Hey, are you alright!t?" The girl asked him worried.

"Can you get up? Are you injured?" The girl bombarded him with questions.

"Don't you dare touch me!" The fallen Accelerator said aggressively with loud hostility.

"Whoa ... how scary but you wouldn't get hurt by accepting people's kindness Right?"

The girl said despite Accelerator's threat reached out her hand to his.

"Come on, take my hand"

"Tch" The white-hair clicked his tongue annoyed and angered at the situation.

"Sorry but I have to stand up alone by myself without having other people helping me."

"Ah, could it be you're in rehabilitation? Sorry to disturb you when you are working hard on it then in that case I will watch over you so please sit on this bench for now." The girl said with a smile.

"Ughh what a meddlesome person," He thought while trying to pick himself up.

"Great the strongest esper in Academy City who can survive a nuclear bomb and can take down armies with a lift a finger not only got beaten by those below him, got crippled, forced to babysit a little pain in the ass is now being watched over by some middle school girl whose level is lower than me did God decided to punish me for his own amusement? why can't he just send me straight to hell it's better than this."

Accelerator thought in his head while trying to recover on the bench after that attempted to strike a conversation with the meddlesome girl.

"When I was watching you raising arms until a while ago I thought you were just a cheerful idiot."

"Raising arms ...?" The girl replied confused until she got embarrassed.

"Ah did you see it by any chance? Ahahahaha I thought maybe I would be able to use my power by doing that."

"Huh, you aren't an esper?"

"Yeah, I'm a Level 0 in other words I'm unable to generate any power therefore I've been practicing like that hoping that someday I'll be able to use my own ability."

"Do you really want to be able to use an ability that bad?'

"Yeah all of my friends are espers you know they're quite impressive at using their ability sometimes I get discouraged a bit because of that wondering how nice it is if I can use it too also I want to be a help for them helping them who are protecting this city."

Accelerator gave a little laugh "Do you want to be a hero or something?"

"It's not like I want to be a hero. I just want to be useful because I once caused a problem to them are you an esper who can use an ability too by any chance?"

"Yeah somewhat true"

"That explains everything what level are you?"

"Huh me? That's certain I'm Leve-" Accelerator was about to brag about being the highest level in Academy City but stopped and thought to himself.

"Wait ... how could I, who ended up being like this because of losing to a Level 0 bragging about being a Level 5" He then dodged the question as there is no point telling the girl about his status sure he can feel good about the praise but if she finds out he got beaten by a Level 0 it won't be the end for him.

"Who knows? I don't know how strong am I anymore." He explained while closing his eyes to relax on the bench.

"Ohhh I see you are having doubts about yourself too but I envy that you are able to use an ability."

"It's not like everything is fine if you can use it there are times when you will be forced to do some things too."

After that statement Accelerator remembered everything that had been done to him every messed up experiment just like with rich successful people, Level 5 are thought to have everything handed to him like their set for life while it is true to an extent they always come with a price like successful people are the most stressed, lack time with loved ones, sacrifices Level 5s no espers with a profitable ability had to deal with inhumane and unethical experiments and all the horrible treatment they deal with from those above and below them.

"Is that so? I can't imagine it somehow but even so, I think I still want to be able to use my own ability."

"You've been saying about "using ability" all the time do you realize being a Level 0 doesn't mean you can't do anything? A level 0 who could beat a Level 5 does exist you know?

While saying that statement Accelerator remembered that event that made the dominoes fall one by one to this pathetic present the time he was beaten by a Level 0 sure he had an exceptional ability may be on the same power of a Level 5 sure he had help from the third-ranked esper and the sisters but he could have still taken them all down.

"Eh? is that true? Please tell me more about that." The girl got interested in Accelerator's reply so bad that her voice becomes fast, she became jumpy if this was anime there would sparks and stars all over the girl's face to indicate interest.

"Tch ... I don't know the details I just heard it from someone"

"Is that so that's a shame but I'm sure that Level 5 has messed something up so horribly that he lost right?'

"Maybe your right but the point here is an idiot who dared to challenge on a Level 5 despite being a Level 0 does exist in this world Level is irrelevant you're just using it to make an excuse"

The girl said cheerfully until she realized something.

"Oops, it's already time? I have promised to meet with my friends so I will take my leave I will tell you about the result of my effort if we meet again someday do your best in rehabilitation as well then see you." The girl after saying goodbye to Accelerator energetically ran off.

"Doing your best in a way you can do huh? hmmph in this current sorry state that may suit me well but first I have to be able to move my body properly maybe I will walk a bit longer there."

Accelerator said to himself after the girl left. While walking he laughed off that he kind of lectured someone beneath him like a counselor not only that he realized he was also counseling himself and the girl at the same time. He wondered was being beaten by the weakest a blessing or a curse he then though of course, it's a curse he knows that there is a very special place reserved for him in hell and decided to make most of what's left.

After a walk, he went back now resting until a certain annoying little girl barged in.

"I am home says Misaka as Misaka wants her presence to be welcomed." A young 10-year old girl with brown hair with one unusual strand wearing a blue spotted dress and sandals. said with a joyful expression.

She danced and twirled around the sleeping Accelerator who is not pretending to sleep just to ignore her.

"Uwaahh he's asleep says Misaka as Misaka saddened by missing out on greeting him," The girl with an unusual speech pattern said.

"Is my seat in hell being warmed up or is this the warm-up?" Accelerator mentally asked as he tries to sleep with the annoying girl present.

At night Accelerator was looking out the window of his hospital room. He is still trying to process everything that happened he was supposed to reach Level at this point while he still has his status as the number one but now he questions what is number one and strongest, genuine strength.

The random girl he met at the park a Level 0 reminded him of that other Level 0 who beat him.

The Level 6 Shift Project an experiment specifically created for Accelerator, the strongest in Academy City, to induce this event and achieve Level 6 by killing over 20,000 clones of the third-ranked esper Mikoto Misaka in a variety of methods. Accelerator willingly joined the experiment to gain a reputation as the most powerful and feared esper so that no one would be foolish enough to challenge him ever again. Accelerator has already killed the first 10,031 Misaka Clones and until the experiment is ultimately stopped. He originally wanted this reputation simply so that no one would ever get hurt trying to attack him, resulting in their own destruction, though as he went deeper into Academy City's dark side his goals slowly became more and more twisted.

The experiment ended with the intervention of a Level 0 who can negate any esper ability who determined that if Accelerator were to be defeated by a level 0 like him, then the assumption of Accelerator being the strongest in Academy City would be incorrect, and the experiment would be stopped since it was based on that assumption of Accelerator being the strongest.

Which led Accelerator to change with him until now.

Now in the present Accelerator recalled all the previous events that lead him to this sorry state.

His train of thought was interrupted by the same young girl who entered earlier.

"I made dinner says Misaka as Misaka proudly shows off the food she made which is not bought from the cafeteria." the young girl said horribly trying to lie in order to impress Accelerator.

"Last Order didn't I tell you to knock first." Accelerator replied to the young brown-haired girl known as Last Order.

"Ehhhhh but Misaka wants to surprise you as Misaka begs you to understand." Last Order pouts.

"Alright what food have you brought m-" Accelerator attempted to get out of bed but collapsed again.

"Uwaaah are you okay asks Misaka as Misaka wonders for your safety." Last Order worried walked too close to Accelerator.

"No, I'm fine just bring me the food." Accelerator said while trying to readjust his position on the bed.

"No" The girl denied Accelerator.

"What did you say." The boy asked angrily.

"You need to rest says Misaka as Misaka wants to be your nurse."

"Like hell, you would be a decent nurse." The comment made Last Order pouted.

"Hmmph don't worry Misaka will feed you says Misaka happy to be your caretaker."

As Last Order was about to grab a spoon full of food to feed Accelerator, Accelerator tried to cut her off but was too late due to his disability and Last Order was fast so he was spoon-fed by Last Order. He could give more resistance but it would be too tiring and pointless

"Nevermind I am in Hell right now the strongest esper being spoon-fed by a little girl who the fuck would enjoy this?." Accelerator thought while chewing on his food and Last Order happily getting another spoonful of food

'Hahaehaehhaehe" Last Order cheerfully laughed in enjoyment.

"See this isn't so bad says Misaka as Misaka comforts you."

"Tc-h haheamh" Accelerator clicked his tongue but Last Order placed another spoon went through his mouth causing him to choke a little.

"uwaaahhhhhhh" Last Order noticed this and panicked.

After panicking, Last Order quickly grabbed a glass of water and proceeded to give it to Accelerator but she tripped and the water splashed all over Accelerator.

Accelerator snatched the glass and drank the remaining water.

Last Order scared and concerned charged and patted Accelerator's back with her two hands.

"Are you okays asks Misaka as Misaka worries."

"I am in Hell," Accelerator said to himself but out loud and was heard by Last Order.

"Don't worry Misaka is with you no matter well as Misaka will always be at your side says Misaka as Misaka speaks gently to you with a cute smile." Last Order said as she hugged the annoyed Accelerator with a calming smile.

"Yeah, I am in Hell." Accelerator said mentally as he feels Last Order's warm hug.
