Chapter 1

In the city known as burnside the GCPD surrounded the front of an apartment building."We've got you surrounded, come out peacefully and you will not be harmed".The SWAT team arrived and we're ready to open fire at the masked criminal who was still in the building."Come out peacefully and–".The meta human crashed through the window and shot out a sticky substance from her wrists at the nearest officer, trapping him inside it. She then repeatedly shot it at every cop surrounding her. When she stopped she looked at the cops that were no match for her."Next time come prepared", The outlaw warned before she shot out a string of sticky fluid then took off swinging across the city.

The next morning Barbara Gordon woke up feeling like a zombie. As she went to the kitchen to make coffee her roommate Frankie Charles was working on a technical problem on her laptop.

"Welcome back to the world of the living Babs!"

"Uhh...not so loud, my head hurts", Barbara poured herself a cup of coffee.

"Don't drink that!" Frankie snatched the cup out of her hands.

"Wha...why?" She asked as she rubbed her eyes wondering if maybe the coffee was poisoned.

"We're meeting Alysia at the chiroptera today so you better get dressed sleeping beauty".

Barbara groaned in exhaustion. She was meeting her other friends today? She thought that was tomorrow. As much as she wished she could go back to bed she remembered that she and Frankie promised to spend some girl time with Alysia.

By the time they arrived Alysia rushed to them out of nowhere and looked overly excited to see them.

"I missed you guys so much. I haven't seen you in forever! We should have girl time more often".

"Girl time hasn't even started Aly", Barbara laughed.

"Come on ladies let's get inside before all the tables are taken and we have to wait in line", Frankie said as she walked in.

When they found a place to sit, the waitress came to take their orders.

"I'll have an iced mocha", Alysia ordered.

"A latte", Frankie decided.

"A cup of coffee for me", Barbara added.

After taking their orders the waitress left their table.

"Soooo...what have you too been up to when since I left?"

"Work", Barbara and Frankie said in unison, trying not to give away their lives as Barbara being Batgirl and Frankie helping her out.

"And College", Barbara nodded off at Frankie to not give anything away.

"Yep and college...for Babs!"

Alysia eyes went back and forth at whatever was going on between them.

"...ok", she seemed unconvinced.

Suddenly Barbara's phone started ringing.

"Oh shit...it's Quadir, sorry I gotta take this".

She left the café for privacy. She answered the phone, knowing it was the one she uses to call Quadir for emergencies as Batgirl.

"You have anything for me?" She asked in her Batgirl voice.

"Didn't you here? There's a break in, some chick in a spider-themed costume broke in and tried to steal something but luckily nothing was stolen!"

"Where are you now?"

"At my apartment w–".

"Sit tight I'm coming there, I already know you have something for me".

After Barbara hung up, she apologized to Alysia that she had to go with Frankie back to the apartment
