Hello and welcome to my weird imagination. A few important things before you read this story:
The pairing is Minato x Hinata which I know is not everyone's cup of tea, but please don't hate on the ship. Thank you.
The story features a large age gap couple which is also something not everybody likes. If you're one of them, I'm sorry, but you most probably won't like this. Also, smut alert!
Lastly, it's set in a modern au, but it actually doesn't really matter.
I hope you will enjoy it, it's my first attempt at anything like this!
Was it sinful to lust after an older man?
In the mind of twenty-year-old Hinata Hyuuga, it definitely was.
The age gap between them was problematic enough. He was twenty-four years older than her. He could be her father even though he could easily pass as someone in his late twenties. Not a single wrinkle on his face suggested his real age.
However, he wasn't her father. He was the father of her best friend, Naruto Uzumaki instead.
Hinata didn't know when it happened. It could've happened when she was only a small child and held the hand of Minato Namikaze for the first time as he grabbed hers and Naruto's hand to keep them from running around at the playground.
Or it could've happened when she had been bullied at school by her classmates and Minato appeared in the classroom one morning to scold those boys after Naruto had told him about Hinata's agony.
Perhaps it happened when she was sixteen and Naruto's mother, Kushina Uzumaki died and Hinata let Minato cry his heart out on her shoulders.
Maybe it happened last year when Minato called her beautiful at Kakashi Hatake's wedding.
Hinata didn't know when it happened exactly, she just knew it did. She had fallen deeply in love with the father of her best friend.
"Hinata-chan, are you listening?"
Hinata lifted her gaze from her notes and caught sight of Naruto who was waving his hands in front of her face.
"Ah, sorry I… I got distracted a bit," she mumbled as she felt the tip of her ears turning red.
"Oh, what were you thinking about?" Naruto propped his chin in his palms and wagged his eyebrows suggestively. "Is it a boy?"
Hinata couldn't articulate an answer, but she felt shame blooming on her cheeks. She indeed had been dreamy about a boy – or more so, a man –, but she wouldn't admit to Naruto that said boy was actually his father.
"It's a boy then," Naruto exclaimed with a grin. "Who is it? Is it Sasuke?"
"N-no," Hinata muttered, carefully avoiding Naruto's cerulean gaze. His eyes had the same beautiful shade of blue as Minato's irises. Those eyes would be the end of her, Hinata was sure about that.
"Shikamaru then? Or Sai? Oh wait, it's Kiba, right?"
Hinata could only shake her head in embarrassment. Heat was burning her cheeks as if they had been set on fire.
"Choji?" Naruto raised an eyebrow at her, but she just kept frantically shaking her head. "Don't tell me it's me."
"No!" Hinata blurted out, perhaps a little more dismissively than she had intended, but she couldn't help it. Naruto was wandering dangerously close to the truth.
"Thank God. We don't go down that road again," Naruto sighed and put his hand over his chest in relief.
The truth is, Hinata and Naruto had been together romantically for a short while. They had been best friends their whole life because their parents were good friends. They had spent most of their childhood together, either at the Hyuuga compound or at the Uzumaki house. They had been joined at the hip ever since they were born. It caused them to confuse romantic love with the brother-sister bond they shared.
Surprisingly, it was Naruto who first brought up the possibility of starting a relationship together. Even though Hinata also had doubts about her real feelings, she would've never had enough courage to confess to Naruto. Fortunately, he was braver than her and from best friends, they went to lovers. It didn't last long though, only a couple of months. They both realized the love they shared was the kind of love one had for a sibling, not for a romantic partner. Thus, they had decided to avert back to best friends.
The clumsy attempt of finding love had one major effect on Hinata's life: she had realized that the kind of love she had wanted to feel for Naruto did indeed exist in her. The only problem was that she felt it for Minato instead of his son.
During her short-lived relationship with Naruto, every time when they slept together, Hinata found herself imagining she was with Minato rather than with Naruto. The guilt and shame she had felt every time were unbearable. She had always vowed to herself that she would stop thinking about Minato during making love to Naruto, but she had always failed spectacularly.
"Come on, you know you can tell me anything," Naruto elbowed her in the side, making Hinata flinch. "I can set you up with anyone from college. Okay, maybe not Shino, he would be a hard nut to crack, but hey, I can always try if he is whom you want."
"T-Thank you, but –"
"I'm home!"
Hinata gasped upon hearing the all too familiar voice entering the house, but thankfully, Naruto was oblivious to her reaction.
"Welcome home, Dad! We're in the living room," Naruto yelled and soon enough, Minato's blond head appeared in the doorframe.
"Oh, Hinata, you're here, too. I haven't seen you around for a while. How are your studies?" he smiled at her and Hinata felt like she could faint any minute.
To tell the truth, Hinata had purposefully avoided coming to Naruto's home in the past few months. Ever since she had come to terms with her own inappropriate feelings for Minato, she tried to keep away from every situation that could possibly involve a meeting with him. Naruto even questioned her once, asking if she acted like that because of their failed relationship. She, of course, came up with a lie. She couldn't reveal her impure feelings even if Naruto was her best friend. She was in love with his father for goodness' sake.
Today, Hinata had decided to give in to Naruto's plea to help him study at the Uzumaki house for their upcoming exam, but only because Naruto insisted Minato wouldn't be home. Well, he had either lied or just hadn't paid attention to his father's work schedule. Most probably, the truth was the latter.
"T-Thank you, Minato-san, I c-could do better, but it's g-going w-well," Hinata stuttered her response, looking everywhere but at Minato.
"She's just shy, she gets 100% on every single test we have. How is that even possible? Is she a human at all?" Naruto whined overdramatically.
"Well, Naruto, studying might help with that," Minato laughed as he walked into the living room and put down his briefcase next to the couch.
Hinata dared to sneak a peek of him from under her bangs. She unconsciously chewed on her lower lip as she noted in her head that Minato looked hot in his suit. She almost choked on her own saliva as an image of him without any clothes popped into her mind.
"I won't bother you two," Minato turned to face them as he loosened the tie around his neck. Hinata winced under his gaze as though she had been caught red-handed. "I will be upstairs if you need anything," he said and disappeared.
Hinata let out a small whimper but immediately regretted it as she watched Naruto furrowing his eyebrows.
"I know what you think," he said, folding his arms.
"You do?" Hinata drew in a sharp breath. Her heart was hammering against her chest and she could feel a bead of sweat streaming down her forehead. Did Naruto figure her out?
"Yeah I do," he closed his eyes and paused, making Hinata nauseous with anxiety. "I've already told him we're not getting back together again in any form, but it seems he just doesn't get it."
Hinata's eyes grew larger. "What?"
Naruto opened his eyes and stared into Hinata's pale gaze. "He left us alone because... you know. He thinks we would do the deed. As if the living room would be the best place for that," he snorted.
Hinata blinked, too befuddled to put the pieces of the puzzle together. "I don't understand."
"He thinks we're friends with benefits or some shit like that."
"Oh," was everything that Hinata could voice in her current state.
"Never mind that, I will explain it to him again," Naruto waved in front of his face with a tired sigh escaping his lips. "Let's just return to this stuff. So, here in my notes, I wrote that…"
Naruto started talking about his notes and the upcoming exam again, but Hinata didn't hear him at all. Her mind was occupied by what he had said. Did Minato think she and Naruto were still sexually involved with each other? Why would he think that? It was the first time she had come over in months. How did he get that idea?
It bothered her for some reason. She tried to push the thought into the back of her mind, but deep down, she was well aware that she was disturbed by this because she wanted Minato to know that she was as single as one could be. She wanted him to realize that he would have a chance if he desired her the same way she desired him.
Of course, Hinata wasn't a fool. She was conscious of the fact that Minato most probably saw her only as the best friend of his son. Moreover, Hinata's father, Hiashi was a childhood friend of Minato's. Minato would never touch his daughter in an inappropriate way. That's just not who Minato fundamentally was.
Or?
The flow of Hinata's thoughts swirled toward all the times she had suspected Minato could reciprocate her feelings. Perhaps all those moments were just the imagination of a silly girl in love. Although, sometimes Hinata did feel like Minato suffered just as much as she did.
The first time she had noticed it was at Kakashi's wedding last year. Hinata wore a purple dress for the occasion which wasn't too provocative but still emphasized her womanly figure in a tasteful manner. One time during the reception, Hinata was left alone because her father and sister went to schmooze with someone she wasn't acquainted with and Naruto was busy congratulating Kakashi on his wedding for the hundredth time. She remembered feeling quite lost up until Minato stepped close to her.
She watched as his lips formed words that she couldn't understand due to the loud music. Pointing at her ear, she gestured that she couldn't hear him and after a brief laugh, he leaned closer and asked Hinata where everyone else was. She answered, slightly shouting, that everybody had left her behind. She could still recall Minato pursing his lips together and shaking his head in disbelief. The memory of him, leaning close to her ear and telling her that nobody should leave a beautiful girl alone, still gave her goosebumps. Hinata could still feel Minato's warm breath brushing her neck.
Another time when something whispered to Hinata that Minato wasn't as pure of a soul as she had believed him to be was when Naruto announced to him that they were in a relationship. Hinata remembered how Minato's face scrunched up in a downhearted expression for a brief moment before he forced a supporting smile on his face. At that time, Hinata hushed the impossible thought away. She believed Minato was just fearful for she and Naruto potentially ruining their good friendship. Looking back at the memory, Hinata wasn't sure about that anymore.
And then, there was the last time when Hinata came over. It wasn't long after she and Naruto had officially called off their romantic relationship and decided to stay only best friends. Just like now, she helped Naruto with preparing for an exam. In the middle of their study session, Naruto got a phone call from Sasuke and he had to leave for a short while. He said it would be only ten minutes, but it turned out to be more than an hour.
Hinata didn't mind it at first since she felt comfortable in Naruto's house. She had spent half of her life there after all. Also, Minato wasn't home, so there was nothing to worry about. Until he eventually came home, but Naruto was still nowhere to be found.
Nothing notable happened between them, but Hinata's mind was reeling with the missed opportunity. She remembered how much she wanted to kiss Minato that day even though she usually wasn't the initiating type. At that time, however, she wanted to jump on him so badly. She, of course, didn't do anything, but she noticed that Minato's gaze lingered on her for a longer time than usual as they talked. He even briefly touched the hilt of her hand with his hand. Hinata always believed it was accidental, but maybe, just maybe, it wasn't.
"Hinata-chan, you're not much of a help now." Naruto's voice dragged Hinata out of her reminiscence.
"I'm sorry," she blurted out.
"Never mind, you've already helped me quite a lot so I guess I can pass that test." Naruto's face split into a wide grin. "Hey, do you want to stay the night? We can watch a movie or something and you can tell me about your little crush if you want. The last time we had our usual best-friend-pajama-party was ages ago."
Hinata couldn't hide the smile that was forming on her lips upon hearing about their best-friend-pajama-party. It was something they came up with as kids. Every other month, they had this little gathering when one of them stayed the night at the other's house. They usually ordered pizza, watched a movie, and tried to stay awake the whole night. They never could though, one of them fell asleep every single time.
"It would be nice, but –"
"Eh, come on, Hinata-chan, don't be like that. It will be fun. I'm sure today is the day when we both can finally stay awake!"
Hinata squirmed in her seat uncomfortably as she pondered on the possibility of staying the night in the same house as Minato, but she couldn't resist Naruto's puppy eyes.
"Okay," she whispered.
"Cool," Naruto cheered. "I'm off to order pizza and let my Dad know that you're staying. Choose a movie to watch in the meantime," he said and disappeared.
Hinata quickly texted her father that she would stay with Naruto tonight and sighed. Had she gone mad? She could feel in her bones that this was a horrible idea.
Hinata chose an action-adventure to watch. She would usually pick a romantic comedy, but that was the last thing she needed now. Naruto also took notice of her odd choice, but when he asked her about it, she said she heard good things about that particular movie and she was eager to watch it. That was a lie, she had never even heard about it before, but Naruto seemed to accept the explanation.
Hinata had no idea what the movie was about after it ended. She could've stared at the switched-off TV for two hours and she wouldn't have noticed it. The fact that Minato was in the house didn't let her mind rest even though he had only emerged from his room when the pizza had arrived. Naruto had been kind enough to order a pizza for him too. Minato had come down to pick it up and retreated to his bedroom as soon as he had his dinner in his hands.
After watching the movie, Hinata and Naruto moved from the living room to Naruto's bedroom upstairs to continue with their pajama party.
"We can't call it a best-friend-pajama-party until we are wearing pajamas," he explained as he rummaged through his drawers, trying to find something for Hinata to wear.
"I can go home to pick up my pajamas."
"Yeah and you wouldn't come back," Naruto clicked his tongue. "Here, these will do."
He gave Hinata an orange shirt and a pair of white, loose shorts. He himself quickly changed into his orange pajamas which had small icons of ramen all over them. Honestly, it looked ridiculous on a twenty-year-old, but Naruto was just like that. Despite they had already seen each other without clothes, he politely turned away when Hinata changed into her improvised pajamas.
They threw themselves on Naruto's bed and started talking about anything and everything that came into their minds. Naruto was considerate enough not to pester Hinata about her crush anymore and Hinata purposefully avoided every topic that could give a hint to Naruto about her improper feelings.
Even though Naruto was really enthusiastic about them finally being able to watch the sunrise, he fell asleep around three in the morning. Hinata was sitting on his bed, leaning against the wall, and watched her best friend sleep peacefully. She giggled silently as she spotted saliva slowly trailing down his chin from his open mouth. Although, her giggle quickly died down when an abrupt thought burst into her mind regarding Minato. Hinata wondered if he slept the same, sloppy way as Naruto did.
Frowning upon her own thoughts, she suddenly heard a noise coming from the hallway. She glared at the closed door of Naruto's bedroom for a while. Eventually, she carefully stood up from the bed, moving as quietly as possible not to wake Naruto up. He was a heavy sleeper, Hinata knew, but one couldn't be careful enough.
She opened the door slowly to avoid the cracking sounds and peeked out. It was dark and she couldn't see anyone. She decided to check the noise out, just in case, so she slid out of the room and pulled the door closed behind herself.
She heard a muffled sound from the direction of Minato's room, so she tiptoed that way. The door of his room was slightly ajar and the faint light of the lamp on his nightstand was still on, thus Hinata decided to peep in. She caught her breath as Minato came into her view. He was laying on his back on the double bed and pressed both his hands against his forehead. His palms were covering his eyes, but he still looked like he felt ill.
"Minato-san, are you alright?" Hinata pushed the door open and made her way into the room to help the man.
Minato snatched his hands away from his forehead and swung himself into a sitting position. His eyes grew unnaturally large as he ran his gaze through Hinata's figure. "Hinata, are you awake? I thought you and Naruto both fell asleep already."
"Naruto-kun is sleeping. I was just about to go to sleep when I heard a noise and came to check it out." She rushed next to Minato and sat on the edge of his bed. "Are you feeling ill? You looked like you're hurting." She placed her hand on Minato's forehead after she spotted his pink cheeks. "You might have a fever, your skin is a bit warm. Do you want me to bring you some medicine from downstairs?"
Hinata genuinely was worried about him, but she froze in place as she realized what she was doing. She pulled back her hand from Minato's forehead as if she had burnt it. She felt herself becoming flushed, so she hurriedly averted her lavender gaze from Minato's ocean blue one.
"No, I think I'm fine, thank you," Minato said in a soft voice.
"Alright," Hinata stood up from the bed, jabbering, "I'm leaving you alone, then. I'm sorry for disturbing you this late."
She spun around and took a step forward to march out of the room as soon as possible when she felt Minato grabbing her wrist.
"Wait a minute," he said and Hinata struggled for air upon feeling his strong hand embracing her thin wrist.
She sluggishly turned back to face him, biting the inside of her cheeks. She had contradicting feelings: she wanted to get out of here right now, but at the same time, she wanted this moment to never end.
Minato's insanely blue eyes bore into her pale lavender ones and his hand didn't let go of her petite wrist. Despite Minato firmly holding her, he didn't hurt her. His grip was strong, but not aggressive at all. As Minato's thumb unsurely started caressing the base of her palm, Hinata felt butterflies all over her stomach. The gentle touch sent a warm feeling into her groin and she took in a sharp breath upon realizing what exactly that sensation was.
She didn't pull her hand back even though she could've. Minato would've surely let her. He wouldn't force her to do anything against her will. But she didn't want to pull her hand back. And judging by the excitement sparkling in Minato's eyes, he had arrived at the same conclusion.
It all happened extremely fast after that. One moment they were staring into each other's soul, the next Minato pulled her onto his lap and they were kissing like there was no tomorrow. He tasted like sweet wine and Hinata wondered if he had drunk some not so long ago. His scent – a pleasant mix of cedar and peppermint – filled her nose and she melted into the passionate kisses.
When Minato leaned back a bit to break the connection of their lips, Hinata hungrily followed him and crashed her lips against his once again. He didn't object and Hinata gained enough courage to caress his delicate skin with her tongue, asking for permission to enter his mouth. As an answer, Minato pressed his tongue against hers and Hinata completely lost herself.
Their tongues sensually danced around each other and Hinata couldn't resist the urge to run her fingers through Minato's blond hair. She gently massaged his scalp with one hand while unconsciously rubbing herself against his groin. A muffled whimper escaped Minato's lips, but Hinata pulled him closer to silence him with another open-mouthed kiss. She didn't stop with the subtle grinding and she smiled into the kiss as she felt the growing hardness underneath her.
She knew exactly what she was doing. She had never in her entire life been this straightforward, but finally kissing Minato after spending all that time with only dreaming about him made her a bit lewd.
"Wait, Hinata," Minato broke their kiss again and tried to move farther away, but Hinata held onto him firmly. "We shouldn't do this."
"Why?" Hinata moaned, ducking her head down to kiss Minato again, but he placed his index finger on her lips to stop her.
"You're my son's girlfriend."
"Not anymore."
"But I'm old for you."
"You're not."
"Your father is my friend."
"He doesn't have to know."
"I've known you ever since you were born. I rocked you to sleep more times than I can count."
"But I'm not a baby anymore."
"Hinata…" Minato gently pushed her off his lap and scooched a bit farther away from her.
Hinata sat there, completely dumbfounded. They both desired each other, but Minato had rejected her. Shame burnt her whole face and she wished she could sink into the ground. Tucking a wisp of her long hair behind her ear, she fixed her gaze on the bedsheet.
"I haven't been with anyone since Kushina…" Minato's voice tapered off and Hinata glanced at him from under her bangs. He was staring at a photo on his nightstand and Hinata followed his gaze. It was a photo of a grinning Kushina, Minato's late wife.
"She wouldn't want you to be lonely," Hinata said in a low voice.
Minato shifted his blue irises to look at Hinata. "She loved you like a daughter."
Hinata gulped and couldn't give an answer to that. She also loved Kushina like a mother. Was she supportive of Hinata's feelings for Minato in heaven or wherever she was now? Hinata couldn't tell. She could only hope that the memory of Kushina wouldn't haunt her in her dreams after tonight.
"I love you," Hinata heard her own voice which now sounded alien to her. Redness painting over her face, she downcast her eyes once again. She didn't mean to confess. Her lips had moved on their own.
The bed made a faint creaking sound as Minato shifted his weight. "This is wrong, Hinata."
"Love can never be wrong," she stammered, tears welling up in her eyes.
Hinata raised an arm to wipe the stream of tears away, but Minato leaned forward and brushed the wetness away from her cheeks with a gentle touch of his thumb. Hinata peeked up and her teary gaze locked with the impossible blueness in Minato's eyes.
"I will go to hell for this," he muttered and closed the distance between them.
Hinata eagerly let his tongue discover the inside of her mouth. She trailed her fingers through Minato's blond locks once again and didn't object when he gently pushed her down on the bed. She pulled him closer unconsciously as she embraced his hips with her legs. Minato supported himself next to Hinata's head with one hand, but his other hand roved over her waist, pulling her even tighter against him. Feeling him so close to herself felt unreal.
Hinata's fingers let go of Minato's hair and wandered over the hem of his shirt. She slid one hand under it and Minato's hand moved up from her waist to do the same with her. When Hinata felt his palm cupping her naked breast under her shirt, she let out a small moan.
Minato lifted up her orange shirt and leaned back for a moment to admire her beautiful, full breasts. Hinata's nipples hardened as air grazed over them and with a smile, Minato bent forward to capture one of them between his lips. The sensation of the gentle sucking on her swollen nipple made Hinata arch her back in pleasure, faintly whimpering for more. Obeying Hinata's silent pleas, Minato pinched her other pink nipple between his fingers, twisting it gently. Hinata couldn't suppress a loud moan.
"Shh," Minato lifted his head and put a finger in front of his mouth. In her hazy state, Hinata forgot that Naruto was sleeping in his room and all that separated them was a thin wall. Heavy sleeper or not, they shouldn't risk waking him up.
Minato kneeled up and tore off his shirt while Hinata did the same with hers. Hinata had a brief moment to observe Minato's nicely toned muscles before he captured her lips with a kiss, pressing their bare chests firmly together.
Feeling her panties being completely soaked in her juices, Hinata didn't want to wait anymore. She reached for the joggers Minato was wearing and tried to get rid of them. He helped her pulling down his own clothes without breaking their kiss even for a second. Hinata's hands unsurely traced over Minato's abdomen before she placed a hand on his erection. Giving it a few gentle strokes, her eyes snapped open upon realizing its size.
She didn't have much time to think about it though. Minato hurriedly pulled down her shorts and panties and pressed a thumb against her tender clit. Hinata's eyes rolled back in pleasure as Minato's finger circled her special spot, driving her crazy with the constant changing in pressure. She writhed under him helplessly, trying to push herself harder against his hand. When Hinata felt a lean finger slipping inside her, she couldn't help but let out a small cry of satisfaction.
Silencing her with a kiss, Minato inserted another finger in her heated core. He started slowly moving his fingers in and out, not stopping the rubbing of her clit with his thumb. Hinata felt her orgasm steadily building up but just before she reached her peak, Minato's hand disappeared, leaving an aching void behind. Glancing at him with blurry eyes, a forlorn sigh left Hinata's mouth.
"Not yet," he breathed out as he reached for the drawer of his nightstand and pulled out a small square package. He tore it open and Hinata watched as he rolled down the condom on his cock.
Minato placed himself above her, supporting himself on his elbows, and looked deeply into Hinata's eyes. "Are you sure you want this?" he whispered.
"I've never been this sure in anything in my entire life," Hinata murmured and pulled Minato's head down in a kiss, opening her legs wide open.
She moaned into the kiss as the tip of Minato's cock brushed against her damp entrance. She bucked her hips forward to feel him inside her, but Minato moved his own hips back, leaving Hinata hanging.
"Please," she pleaded, her voice coated with lust, "I need you."
Minato stared into her hazy gaze and with a shaky groan, he slipped inside her. Hinata closed her eyes accompanied by a grateful moan as she felt him pleasantly stretching her. Wrapping her legs around his hips, she pulled him deeper. Minato gave her a few moments to get used to the feeling of him being inside her before he started moving.
Hinata felt like her heart would jump out of her chest when the pace of Minato's thrusting became faster. The deep desire in his voice as he groaned into her ear gave Hinata goosebumps. Feeling him inside of her body was a dream come true for her. Hinata wanted to seal this sensation into her mind to cherish it forever.
As Minato hit a sensitive spot inside her, she arched her back against him, whimpering in pleasure. Her orgasm bolted through her entire body and she sank her fingernails deep into Minato's back. Her legs trembled around his waist but Minato didn't stop. His thrusting became even more eager as he guided himself even deeper. A few moments later, a fervent moan tore from his throat and Hinata felt his cock pulsating inside her as he shot his load.
Panting heavily, Minato slipped out of Hinata and rolled over his back. They fixed their gazes on the ceiling for long minutes without uttering a word before Hinata grabbed his hand, squeezing it encouragingly.
Minato snapped his head to the side and stared into Hinata's lavender eyes.
"This will be our little secret."
If you have time, consider leaving a review for me. If there's a demand, I may consider writing a continuation, but as of now, the story functions as a one-shot.
Thank you for reading and have a nice day!
