"Are we almost there yet?" Hope asked for the millionth time. Being a 16-year-old werewolf witch shortened her patience in, pretty much anything she has or will ever ever experience.

"Almost Hope," Hayley said while still keeping her eyes on the road they had been cooped up in the car for almost three days now, only stopping for gas, food or hotels so they can sleep.

"You said that an hour ago." Hope complained grabbing another chip from the back of the car. Thank god for her werewolf metabolism.

"Yeah, well this time I mean it," Hayley replied as they got off the freeway and over a couple of hills that almost no cars were coming or going.

"Tell me again why did we have to come to California?" Hope asked her mom.

"Because you already know. New vampires and witches are starting yet another war in the quarter and they want you out of the way. Who knows what the enemy can do if they get you. And I'm here to make sure you don't get into trouble that we are trying to get you to avoid." Hayley replied as she made a turn and they were pretty much just seeing trees and occasionally some birds just flying around them.

"Yeah well, you're a hybrid with years experience. And I'm a tribrid, or at least 2 thirds of one. Plus I know almost all the spells aunt Freya and aunt Davina taught me, I've been sparing with Marcel, and either way, if I did die I would come back a vampire and harder to kill." Hope argued.

"We know you can take care of yourself, but that doesn't mean we don't worry about you or want to keep you safe," Hayley said.

"That still doesn't explain why we had to go all the way here. California. There was everywhere else, like Mystic Falls and New York."

"California is on the opposite side of New Orleans making it safer but still in the country. Mystic falls already have their occasional problems that we do not need to cross. And New York is the number two for feeding grounds for vampires. New Orleans of course being number one. Besides, we are going in a small town where no one would ever know of or think twice about, we'll be safe there." Hayley said and they came to a stop on a hill. In view was the town her mom was just talking about. She saw the sign that was next to them. Literally in stone.

"Welcome to Beacon Hill." Hope read. "Catchy." She said as she gazed once again. It seemed quiet enough, not too big like New York with skyscrapers and cars honking, but not so small that there are only 10 houses like a little village. It looked like the kind of the size of Mystic Falls.

Hayley started the car again and they drove on and reached into the town and was passing houses, shops, a school (where Hope will probably be attending to, she groaned internally) and finally they made it to a piece of land. As the size of the school, they had just passed by a piece of land surrounded by gates. And in the center was a mansion.

"Why does dad have to be so overprotective," Hope muttered even though she knew her mom could hear it with her hybrid hearing.

"All of us know that he'll do what he can, which is pretty much anything, to keep you happy," Hayley said as the gate in the driveway opened and she had on into the garage.

"But it's just the two of us," Hope said.

Hayley shrugged. "You were born into the Mikaelson family."

Hope chuckled. She wasn't complaining. Ok, maybe just a little but that's because they overdid it, again. But she still loves them, with all her heart cause they would do anything for her and she would do the exact same thing if any of them were in danger, they're her family and that's what they do, they look out for each other. Always and forever.

They both got out of the car and got their luggage that just held a couple of clothes, it was all they could bring. Their moving truck would bring in the rest of their items and clothes. Along with a few new things because, hey, when it comes to wars in New Orleans they tend to last a while.

Hope stepped inside the house from the garage door that was connecting it. She had noticed from the outside that it was three stories but it looked even bigger from the inside. At the top in the middle of the entrance was a big bright chandelier and there was already furniture here that looked like the furniture back at the compound, or at least, from the same era. Beautiful white stairs were curving along the wall that led upstairs and that was just looking up. She explored the first level a bit. There was an entire room dedicated to the kitchen, a living room that had paintings on the wall as well as a fireplace. And a galley with books and art stands. She caught a glimpse outside and saw there was even a pool. She went upstairs as her mother already did and the second floor had a nursery, what seemed the be two guest rooms, a hallway with paintings, and a bathroom. The third floor was where her mom was at. It had five master bedrooms along with its bathroom and walk-in closet as well as a game room and another hall filled with paintings. Hope took the room next to the game room so I case she ever got bored. Instant entertainment.

"Who's name is in the deed of this house? I mean it can't be yours or else random vampires could walk in." Hope asked her mom as she found her in her new room unpacking.

"Isn't it obvious?" Hayley raised an eyebrow at her daughter. "Yours," Hayley said simply and went back to unpacking.

"What?!" Hope asked.

"That way, your the only one who gets to decide who gets to come in and you'll make the right choices," Hayley explained. "Come one." She said and walked towards the stairs.

"Where are we going?" Hope asked reaching for her shoes as she put them back on while trying to keep up with her mother.

"We are going to go around town to see what we can pick up and enroll you in that school we saw earlier. Don't you dare complain."

Hope had to bite her lips back, schools weren't in her favor at all. One time she went to mystic falls high and they all treated her like she was different, they were right, but they treated her like a disease who they stayed away from. The Salvatore boarding school was nice but she kept a to herself cause no one else cared. They all just feared her for her and her family's past. Hope Mikaelson, daughter of Klaus Mikaelson the ruthless hybrid with no mercy along with the originals that are the most dangerous creatures in the world. That's all she was known for. That and she was a tribrid. If only they knew how her family was actually like, caring, sweet, looking out for one another. At least this school would know nothing about her and maybe she'd get a restart on things. Not that it would change anything, she'd still be a loner.

They decided to go walking since they were cooped up in the car long enough and needed to stretch their legs. Hope gazed into the forest that was very far away but she saw it clearly because of her werewolf sight.

"At least there will be somewhere to practice to transform," Hayley muttered voicing Hope's thoughts.

They walked further into town where they finally came across the school again. Beacon Hills High School.

Hayley had called beforehand on the phone while they were in the car letting them know they would becoming. They were greeted by a man whose name tag said, Principal Thomas. He gestured at them to come inside the school into his office where they both took a seat.

"Welcome to Beacon Hills Miss Marshall, I appreciate you enrolling your daughter here." He said while reaching for some papers in his desk and put them on the table.

"You're lucky you came just in time. The school starts again in a week just enough time to send her application and get it back approved. She will be enrolled in Junior year, but we need to make sure she's up to date on the subjects so she doesn't get left or fall behind." He explained. Hayley dug through her purse and fished out two papers and put it on the desk and Hope recognized it as her report cards.

"Straight A's. She has performed very high from her old schools she has attended and does extra curricular actives in the schools she been in." Hayley said.

The principal took the paper and after looking over it his eyes widen. "Well then, I just have to get this put in and she starts school next week on September 7th. I'm sure she will be a great students. Have a good day." He said and they both stood up.

"So what now?" Hope asked as they were walking around the school, Hope was just scooping out the place to make sure she will know where to go.

"Now, I need to go see if there are any blood banks in the next town. Don't want to get too suspicious." Hayley said.

"Perfect I'm going to work on the spells in the copy of the grimoire aunt Freya got me," Hope said.

"Make sure you don't get caught doing it," Hayley said.

"I'll do it in the game room," Hope said. "I'll be sure to put reinforcements." She added.

"Good. We don't want to break our new home when we just got here." Hayley said. They walked back, totally not using their werewolf speed to get there quicker, totally did not.

Hayley got back in the car as Hope went upstairs just noticing that there was an elevator that was in the galley and went up. She walked to the game room and burned some sage so anyone who was passing by wouldn't hear her incantations or if she breaks something.

"Post tenebras spero lucem." She said and extended her hands and a light shone brightly. It lit up the room. She closed the palm of her hand and it disappeared. She continued practicing spells from the copy of a grimoire her aunts Freya gave her to do until the sage burned out by that time her mom had already come with a box filled with blood bags.

"Remember, moving trucks come by tomorrow," Hayley said to her daughter.

"I know," Hope said.

"Are you sure Lydia?" Malia asked.

"Yes, I'm sure for the millionth time," Lydia said as she just finished braiding her hair. "I do not own the mansion in beacon hills."

"Well, then who does? I think we would know about them." Stiles said.

"Well, we don't then. End of discussion." Lydia said.

"Full moon, I hate full moons," Scott said out of nowhere from where he was sitting on Lydia's couch.

"And? You've been through it a million times. It's not even a full moon night, it was a full moon a week ago." Stiles said.

"Yeah I know, I just...I'm bored and thought I'd say something." Scott said.

"You could always study ahead of time," Allison suggested.

"Who'd want to do that?" Isaac asked.

"Ooo." Lydia perked up. "Did you hear we're getting two new girls?" She asked changing the subject.

"Nope," Malia said.

"Yes!" Allison perked up. "I over heard it when I was passing by school earlier today. Do you know who's coming?" Allison asked.

"I know one, Kira Yukimura. Her family just moved from New York. The other girl, I'm not so sure." Lydia said.

"How are you not know for once," Scott asked.

"All I know is that she's coming, I overheard it while my mom was on the phone, you know from sometimes being a substitute," Lydia explained.

"I hope none of them are supernatural. We've got enough of that." Scott said. They had just finished with the pack of alphas and the sacrifices and didn't need another tipping of the scale, luckily summer has been quiet and fun.

"But I do hope we get to be friends with them," Allison said.

"If they're not hunters," Isaac said.

"Right." Stiles agreed.

"Hello, former Hunter here," Allison said waving at them.

"Yeah but you revoked your ways. Some people are very dedicated to werewolf hunting." Lydia said.

"Yep," Stiles said popping the p.

"Well school is in a week, so we'll find out soon enough," Scott said.

"Alright, who's hungry?" Lydia asked getting out her phone.

"Oooh, can you order pizza?" Stiles asked.

"Hamburgers!"

"Hotdogs!"

"Deer!" Malia said and they all looked at her. "What?"
