"Should we tell them?" Paula asked as Givoanni's cummerbund tightened slightly to hold her closer to him, it intertwining them together in an infinity symbol.

"We can." Giovanni smiled. "It's all up to you, thợ san của tôi."

Paula laughed at his pronunciation. He had said it correctly enough for her to understand, but he had stretched the vowels a little to do it.

"What? Did I say something wrong?" Giovanni asked in a worried tone as he guided them in a simple waltz. Had he messed up?

"No, no. You got it right." Paula said, kissing his lips. "It just sounded cute rolling off your tongue."

As Giovanni stepped forwards, he rested his forehead on hers. "So," he moved to step back to where they were before turning them. "What brought this up?"

"I don't want us to be a secret anymore. Even if for now only Artemis and Zatanna know, then that's enough for now." Paula gripped his hand and shoulder respectively, although she looked down at their feet.

"Well, then I think we should tell them." Giovanni said with a smile, gently gripping her hand as well. It was about time too, them being open about this.

Paula smiled as she pulled him down for a kiss as they swayed from side to side.

"So, what did you want to talk about dad?" Zatanna asked later that day after dinner.

She'd stayed home after school, too mentally tired to even consider subjecting her friends to her complaining about her dad. Although, today he had been okay. For several months, actually. It was scaring her.

"Well," Giovanni put the last dish in the drying rack and turned off the sink, drying off his hands. "Um.. how do I phrase this?"

"Am I getting a puppy?" Zatanna asked, wanting her dad to tell her but seeing that he was struggling to so she proposed a joke.

He did laugh, smiling as he set the towel on his shoulder. "Okay, so.. Remember when you told me it was okay to move on?"

Zatanna nodded, "you mean when I was six?" He had her curiosity, but now her attention was front and center.

Giovanni nodded, "yeah.." he smiled. "And I finally took your advice."

Zatanna smiled, rushing to her dad and wrapping her arms around him. "I'm so happy for you!" She looked up and him, seeing him smiling back at her. "So, are you going to tell me her name?"

Paula was looking in on Artemis, who was laying her stomach on her bed to read a textbook with pencil and paper beside her. "Artemis?"

Artemis looked at her mother, stopping the tapping of her eraser on her paper. "Yeah mom?"

Paula took a breath. Okay, now or never. "What would you say if I told you I was seeing someone?'

Artemis shrugged. "I'd say I'm happy for you." She sat up to look ather mother. "Are you?"

Paula sighed happily before answering Artemis. "Yes." She suddenly felt arms around her, blinking a few times to focus on Artemis' hair, wrapping her arms around her daughter.

"About time." Artemis was going to deny the tears, pretend that they didn't happen, but she was happy for her mom. That they - and more importantly she - could move on.

"So," Artemis began after the two had broke the hug, sitting on the bed and putting a hand on her mother's, "what's his name?"

Giovanni was doing Dinah a favor - watching the team for her because she had a date with Ollie and he was already there. Well happily he had told Paula about this, and she said it was alright. So, that's how he was sitting on the far side of the couch catching up on a book he had started to read while homework was being done and other shenanigans were being done. It wasn't going to be his problem tomorrow, so why be concerned now?

"Hey, Zatara.."

Giovanni looked up at Artemis, who was looking at him. "Yes Artemis?" He closed his book gently. "Did you need something?"

"Not really.." Artemis shook her head. "I just, wanted to say thank you for ya know.." she gave a sigh, taking a moment to properly think about what to say. "Thanks for helping my mom move on from Crusher."

Giovanni gave her a smile. "You are most welcome."
