The boisterous pda alarm went off waking Fushimi up from his slumber.
As of late, he felt more sluggish. Was it because he was relying on the stimulants of his pda too much. He didn't know or care. It was just another day of things going in and out of fashion that Fushimi didn't care for.
Today was just another day of Fushimi fighting his own small self. As the months and days pass by after the slates destruction, it seems he falling more into a life of normality. The kind of normal that he (and Yata) wanted to get away from.
He's finally friend with Yata again and part him is... happy. It's a weird feeling that Fushimi hasn't felt in a long while.
But then there's Sceptor 4. After the slates were destroyed, Sceptor 4 had a lot of overtime trying to clean up everyone's mess. Media cover up, catching strains; you name it.
One year later, it all seemed to slow down. Many wondered if this division would be shut down.
"Yet another thing broken." Fushimi spat.
After his recollection with Yata, he promised himself he wouldn't think like that anymore. Old habits die hard.
At least if Sceptor 4 did get shut down, he wouldn't have to deal with these idiots anymore. At least that's what he convinced himself. It seemed more of his true colors were showing.
He remembers one night when he started to cry late into the nighttime once while recuperating from his injury. He was doing paper work and after recalling all the events, accepting Reisi as his king, making up with Yata once more, and coming back alive. He just stared crying himself out.
His crying attracted that giant Hidaka who was also up for some reason. He stayed comforting Fushimi until he was finished crying.
"Once you've cried yourself out, we'll make merry until the sun come up." Hidaka suggested.
Fushimi's well constructed walls seemed to be whittling away. At first he absolutly wanted nothing to do with the moron brigade that is his co-workers. To an extant even now he still wanted nothing to do with them. But now he didn't mind being around them.
"You all are my family." Fushimi recalled Munakata say once.
Fushimi had to come to terms with a realization that hit him hard. Sceptor 4 wad apart of his world now. Yata wanting to expand his world beyond that of them both was what caused him to break it off with Yata. It can't be just the two of them forever. They would never survive if they never expanded their lost small world.
Fushimi had come to realize that they could still be important to each other, while having other friends. Yet he was still afraid of expanding his world beyond Yata.
"Why don't you hang out with those blues. They're your friends right?" Yata said.
"No." Fushimi retorted.
It wasn't like Fushimi went out of his way to befriend them, they just forced their way into his world. In a way that was going for him since he would never make the first move.
When the squad found out about his mission, they welcomed him back with open arms.
"There's no way we believed you betrayed us!" Hidaka said.
"Rest up. You deserve it." Akiyama softly said.
Welcome back home Fushimi-kun." Said Seri.
Whether he wants to admit it or not, time passes on all the same. Sceptor 4 is a part of his world now.
If he wants to smile towards the future, he can't hold on to the past. From what's in front of him, he'll take it on one at a time. This time when he turns around, not only will Yata be there, but all of his friends from Homura and Sceptor 4.
After all the sadness, it seemed only happiness awaited him. He was foolish to believe it would last forever, but... This time he'll let himself enjoy it for as long as it lasted.
"I want to see you smile Fushimi. Even if it's for a little while." Hidaka said.
"..."
"Moron."
