A/n : Thank you each and every reader for reviewing my earlier stories. It means a lot to me.
Its Sunday afternoon, weather is hot and sunny outside, both the brothers are at home, watching television or better to say fighting for the control.
"Le, tu hi dekh. Me chala khana banane. Sahab to aj yaha se uthenge nahi…", hitting the sofa cushion on his head.
"ha jao, shanti se kuch toh dekne milega mujhe.. aur waise b tumhare hote hue mujhe khana banana ki kya jarurat he", said Daya settling comfortably on the 6 seater sofa.
Abhijeet, starts cooking purposefully banging utensils and dropping them to revenge from his younger one for not letting him watch Tv.
Daya, getting up angrily marches towards the kitchen, "Offo, Abhijeet, dhire se kaam karo na. Disturb ho raha he mujhe."
"Kya bola, jara dubara bolna…", threatening by pointing knife towards him.
"Kuch nahi , kuch nahi Boss, wo me keh raha tha me kuch madad kar du?", meekly.
"Ha ab better he. Lo ye matar(green peas) childo", passing a bowl of peas to him.
"huh.. mujhe laga tha mana karega", murmured Daya to himself.
"Waise Abhi, shamko Mihir ki party me chalna he na?" asking excitedly to Abhijeet.
"Ha Daya, jana toh padhega, bahut baar yad dilaya he usne. Me soch raha tha ek file complete kardu, lekin nahi jayenge toh acha nahi lagega".
"Hamesha file file karte rehte ho. Aj toh Sunday he, aj toh kaam chod do", shouted Daya in fake anger.
"Aree ha bola na maine.. ab jaldi jaldi kaam kar ..". ordered Abhijeet.
They finished cooking, cleaning and took a short nap.
It is their friend's birthday party beside the pool in one of the luxurious business hotels of Mumbai.
At 7pm, Abhijeet entered the hotel dressed in black blazer, sky blue shirt and shiny black leather shoes, followed by Daya, in black blazer, lime yellow shirt and shiny black formal shoes. Both carrying hundred-million-dollar smile.
The pool side was beautifully decorated with flowers, candles, balloons, a band of musicians playing party music and a lavish dinner.
Reaching the pool-side, they start looking for the birthday boy.
"Wo raha Mihir, Boss", pointing towards a man dressed in navy-blue blazer.
"Happy Birthday Mihir", wished duo and hugged him.
"Thank you ane k liye. Mujhe toh laga tha tum aj b koi bahana bana doge", said the birthday boy.
Duo smiled and handing the gift to him said, "Aisa nahi he, tumhara birthday jo he."
"Thank you for coming. I hope tum ye party enjoy karo. Make yourselves comfortable please. Me baki ke guests ko milkar ata hu", saying so the birthday boy excused himself.
Duo settle themselves at a table closest to the pool. Music is getting loud as more and more guests arrive.
"Boss, me chahata hu ki next year tum meri birthday party, ek resort k pool side par rakho", expressed Daya in a tone louder than regular due to music.
In the same loud tone with curiosity Abhijeet asked, "Aain.. aur aisa kyu chahte he sahab?".
"Taki main andheri raat me, thande pani me pair dale baithu, background me kishore kumar ke madhur geet sunte hue us chand se kuch baate kar saku.. aur ha.. party ka dress code hoga casuals.. ye blazer wlazer nahi jamta mujh se.. aur party me sirf team, Acp sir aur hum dono hoge bas.. waise chahta toh tha me ye sab beach par ho, lekin late night beach par nahi kar sakte na ye sab, isliye", described Daya in dreaming tone.
Amazed by his brother's desire, he said "Thik he , sochunga" naughtily that made his bunny angry.
At the same time, a waiter arrived there, carrying a tray of glasses filled with colored liquid.
Before picking up a glass, Abhijeet asked to confirm, "Ye cocktail he ya mocktail?".
Waiter replied, "Sir ye cocktail he", which Abhijeet heard as "Sir ye mocktail he" due to the loud music.
Abhijeet picked up a glass and so followed his obedient brother assuring himself that his brother has confirmed with the waiter. Wish if they had known, it was a cocktail made from vodka with orange juice, coconut sugar and simple syrup. They did not know that they have invited some unexpected fun for themselves.
"Daya, ye kuch alag nahi lag raha taste me?", asked Abhijeet having some doubts.
"Kya yaar Abhi, tumne pucha toh tha waiter se.. aur ye party he.. chef ki speciality drink hogi", assured Daya to Abhi enjoying his so called juice.
1, 2, 3… Daya finished 3 glasses…and Abhijeet finished 2 glasses…
Being first timers, it did not take time vodka to show its effect.
"Boss, tum mujhe 2-2 dikh rahe ho", exclaimed Daya showing the count on fingers and smiling.
"Ha Daya, tum b", with a hiccup.
"Lagta ye sahi me hard drink thi, Abhi..", said a scared Daya.
"Bola tha maine, lekin tumne hi kaha, soft drink he ye.. ab bhugto.. meri kabi sunte nahi ho tum..", with mixed emotions.
Daya got up balancing himself he went towards Abhijeet, pulled a chair and sat on it.
"Abhi, tum bolo ab.. main sununga tumhe", he said putting fingers on his lips and looking at his fingers and shaking his head.
"Pakka?"
"Ha pakka".
Making a fist of his right palm, placing it as a mike near his mouth, getting up moving little away from the table Abhijeet started, "Mere pyare dosto…"
Daya got up moving towards him correcting, "Nahi Abhi, dosto nahi .. dost.. sirf me hu yaha.. ky…" and stopped. His mouth remained open, words got stuck seeing those angry eyes.
"Kya Daya, aise disturb mat karo..Aa tu yaha baith", trying to walk steadily towards Daya to hold him. He collided with the same person. Not noticing , who he was, he said , "Kisne dakka diya muje" and looked up..
Although it was blurry for both of them but they could recognize those eyes and the person from the his outline.
"Ap..?" asked scared Abhijeet.
"Ha, main.. Kya kar rahe the tum dono?" asked an angry father cum ACP.
"Sir, Abhijeet, kuch suna raha tha aur me sun raha tha", chuckled Daya.
The experienced father could understand that his son's were drunk. May be unknowingly but yes they were drunk to an extend that they had become kids now.
He turned towards Abhijeet, "Kya sunana chahte the tum?".
"Wo..me.. kuch nahi Sir.." and put down his head.
Then he turned towards to Daya to find another shock. He was happily drinking another glass of juice. He patted his own forehead with "Ye ladka b na..". He moved towards Daya made him sit on a chair.
When he moved towards Abhijeet, he found him doing the same. Sipping the last drop from the glass. He grabbed his hand and made him also sit on the chair.
"Chup chap baitho yaha dono.. bilkul hilna nahi.. samje.. me 2 minute me aya", ordered an ACP.
"Yes Sir", shouted Duo.
ACP went to his friend who is birthday boy's father and had invited him for the party, to let him know that he is leaving to take care of some work and thanking him for the invitation.
"Boss, ye raavan ko kisne bataya hum yaha he"?, asked Daya drinking another sip of the same juice.
"Daya, meko lagta he raavan ne hum par tracker's lagaye he", tried to explain Abhijeet, copying his brother by sipping the same juice from his 5th glass.
"Hmm.. tum sahi ho.. Abhi..", meaningfully.
Acp got angry listening his most trusted officers talking about him behind his back. He immediately came to them and asked, "Mana kiya tha tum dono ko yaha se hilne ke liye".?
Abhijeet cutely replied, "Sir, we followed your orders. Hum nahi hile, bas wo waiter juice lekar aya tha toh humne le liya."
This made ACP angrier and more commanded, "Chalo ab yaha se. Ghar jana he hume".
"Ghar?, Sir abhi toh party shuru hui he", with full innocence replied Daya.
"Ha Sir, hum ghar nahi jayenge.", protested Abhijeet.
A strict father did not wanted to make a scene in the party and let the on-lookers know about his son's mischief. He knows how to handle his sons as well as officers.
He said in an audible and strict tone, "Agar tum yaha se chale nahi, toh me Daya ka transfer karva dunga".
Getting scared of loosing his brother, Abhijeet quickly got up grabbed his hand and said, "Nahi Sir, hum chalte he. Daya chal ut yaha se…", trying to stand firm to follow him.
Acp smiled. He knew come what may these brother's are each other's live. He was enjoying his best officers behaving like kids. This is one of the moment's that he would treasure life-long.
Daya got up quickly at his brother's command.
3 of them started walking. Acp holding Abhijeet's hand, Abhijeet holding Daya's hand making sure none of them falls or hits with anything or anyone.
They reach near the car and Acp orders Abhijeet to occupy the passenger seat but he denies.
"Me nahi baithunga aage. Ap Daya ko bhej denge. Me uske saat hi piche baithunga", replied Abhijeet gripping his hand strongly.
"Tum dono ko to me kal dekhunga. Abhi filhal ghar chalo. Driver banakar chodenge aj", murmured a father to himself.
He made both sit in the backseat, buckled them and he grabbed the driver's seat. Guess what, he even put child lock to make sure his kid turned son's do not cause more trouble.
Daya, on the way, cutely, "Abhi.. me tumhe ek poem sunao?".
Abhijeet nodded. He started:
Daya Daya
Yes Abhi
Drinking cocktail
No Abhi
Telling lies
No Abhi
Show me your glass
Trio laughed Ha Ha Ha…
Acp was observing their expressions from the rear view and side view mirrors and feeling a sooth seeing them like this.
Now Abhijeet says, Daya ab meri bari.. Daya nods.
Machli jal ki rani he, Jeevan uska pani he..
Haath lagao dar jayegi….
And he stops and says aage ka yad nahi aa raha he and makes a frowned face..
Acp who was hearing this, completed it as "Bahar nikalo mar jayegi".
Abhijeet very happily, "Ha yaad aya , yehi he. You are right Sir."
Acp looked at him through side-view mirror and felt blessed.
Abhi ab firse meri bari.. Abhijeet nods.
Daya clears his throat and starts to sing a song,
Pita se hai naam tera pitah pehchaan teri
Jiye jis sahaare pe tu pitah se woh saans mili
Hai pita rab tera
Ishwar allah jitne bhi rab hain
Noor tera tujh mein hi sab hai
Ho ishwar allah jitne bhi rab hain
Noor tera tujh mein hi sab hai
Rab hai hai
Tu hi sab hai hai - 2
Pita ka mol hai kya paas rehke jana nahin
Pyaar pita se karoon yeh keh na paya kabhi
Hai pita sab tera
Ishwar allah jitne bhi rab hain
Noor tera tujh mein hi sab hai
Ho ishwar allah jitne bhi rab hain
Noor tera tujh mein hi sab hai
Pita ke aashirwad se tune sab kuchh paya hai
Kya lekar tu aaya jag mein
Aur kya tune kamaya hai - 2
Pitah ka rutba sabse ooncha
Rab ke roop samaan hai
Pita ki ungli thaam ke chalo to
Rasta bhi aasan hai
Pitah ka saaya sir pe ho to
Kadmon mein aakash hai
Pita hai poonji kho jaaye to phir kya tere paas hai
Pita bina na hasti teri na koi tera thikana hai
Pitah ke naam se aana jag mein…
Acp was lost in the words of the song that his son was singing for him. He thanked God for giving them. He thanked God for completing his family. Hearing the song stopped in between, he quickly glanced behind.
Seeing both his sons drifted into sleep, he smiled.
After reaching home, he woke both of them and took them inside.
"Yaha baitho, main abhi aya", ordered a father to both his sons.
He went inside his room, got fresh and returned with 2 glasses of water.
"Nahi mere saath…" said Abhijeet.
"Nahi mere saath.. me chota hu na…" justified Daya.
"Nahi mere saath.. maine kaha na.." ordered Abhijeet.
Acp asked "Aree ye kyu jagad rahe ho tum dono" to clear the matter.
"Wo hum decide kar rahe he, aj apke sath kaun soyega", replied duo cutely like kids.
Acp is surprised to know the reason of their fight or may be to know how much they love him.
"Aisa karte he aj hum teeno sath sote he".
With happiness duo asked, "lekin kaise".
Acp replied, "Terrace par.", "Wow", came the instant reply.
A loving and caring father ordered his servant to make the arrangements on the terrace.
They sat on the mattresses, when Daya said, "Mujhe yaha sona he", pointing towards his lap.
"Aao", with lots of love for his son.
Now, both are lying with head on his lap and he is caressing both of their head.
"Mujhe gaana b sunna he aj", said Daya innocently to his father.
After thinking something, Acp starts:
dhire se aaja ri ankhiyan me
nindiya aaja ri aaja, dhire se aaja
dhire se aaja ri ankhiyan me
nindiya aaja ri aaja, dhire se aaja
chupke nainan ki bagiyan me
nindiya aaja ri aaja, dhire se aaja
lekar suhane sapno ki kaliya
sapno ki kaliya
lekar suhane sapno ki kaliya
aake basa de palko ki galiya
palako ki chhoti si galiyan me
nindiya aaja ri aaja, dhire se aaja
dhire se aaja ri ankhiyan me
nindiya aaja ri aaja, dhire se aaja
chupke nainan ki bagiyan me
nindiya aaja ri aaja, dhire se aaja
taro se chhup kar taro se chori, taro se chori
taro se chhup kar taro se chori
deti hai rajni chanda ko lori
hansata hai chanda bhi nindiya me
nindiya aaja ri aaja, dhire se aaja
dhire se aaja ri ankhiyan me
nindiya aaja ri aaja, dhire se aaja
chupke nainan ki bagiyan me
nindiya aaja ri aaja, dhire se aaja..
After finishing the song, he noticed both his sons, Daya had slept. He gently placed his head on the pillow.
He noticed Abhijeet but he was awake. He asked him through eyes to sleep. Abhijeet denied.
"Kya hua beta?", asked a father to his son in concern softly taking care not to disturb his other son.
"Sir, shayad maine kabi apne pitah ko dekha he ya nahi mujhe yad nahi. Lekin apko dekh kar meri sari khwaish puri ho jati he. Ap nahi hote toh ye senior inspector Abhijeet nahi hota. Kabi kabi gussa ata he ap par jab ab mujh par shak karte he, lekin me samajta hu koi majburi hogi apki b aur ye jo chota(pointing towards daya) he wo mujhe sambhal leta he. Thank you Sir for making me who I am today," talking softly with his loving father who is looking at him with loving expression.
"Ha Abhijeet, tumne thik kaha. Me tumpar shak karta hu kabi kabi aur wo b majburi me. Main chahta hu ki tum jab Acp bano toh koi tum par ungli nahi utha sake. Aur ek Acp ko bahut sare chize handle karni padti he , toh me tumhe kamzor padte nahi dekh sakta. Isliye thodi strictness dikha deta hu aur muje pata he ki tum use seh sakte ho. Fir tumhare sath ye tumhara bhai aur mera ladla toh hamesha hota hi he,", replied the father cum acp lovingly taking his son in a soft hug.
Separating from hug, both caressed their other soul, sleeping cozily and laid down.
They Thanked God for giving them each other and closed their eyes.
To be continued...
A/n : Guys, based on your response.. I have decided to extend the plot to next day. Will post it soon.
