"Nothing beats spending a day sunning at the beach of Dragon Shores," Spyro the Dragon said with a sigh, as he laid on his back in the hot sand.

Before his first adventure as a young dragon whelp, he always imagined that the adult dragons had exciting and adventurous lives. Now, as a young adult dragon, having finished three near consecutive adventures, he found adult life kinda boring.

When his young adult life started, he tried to alleviate his boredom by working out to a near extreme degree. Over the course of a year, his muscle mass and height increased dramatically, putting him at around 12ft (3.7m) in height, and with enough muscle strength to uproot trees and crush boulders. After said year, his boredom returned, and he slowed on his workout regimen. His appetite, however, stayed the same, leading to him developing a big belly over the course of another year.

Now, at the start of his third year of trying to fight boredom, he decided to take some time off to legitimately relax and not think of his problems. His method consisted of simple downtime at the Dragon Shores beach area, in nothing but his swim shorts, and a cool drink in his hand.

His relaxation went so well, that after his drink was finished and the container properly disposed of, he ended up falling asleep, the warmth of the sand and sun allowing his mind and muscles to unwind from all the tension he put himself under. His day went that way for a good two or three hours before the sun was covered by some clouds and the sand began losing its warmth. The lack of light and heat stirred Spyro from his slumber, leaving him groggy.

"Urgh, probably should head back," he said out loud to himself as he got to his feet clumsily. "Alvar should have my comfort meal ready abou-" He was suddenly interrupted by a raindrop that landed squarely on his nose, waking him up instantly, and causing him to look up at the darkening clouds. "Forget the dinner, I'll be rained on!"

Spyro was never really bothered about getting wet or going for a swim. What bothered him was getting wet after enjoying a lot of warmth, and thunderstorms in general. He still remembered the storm he left for Dragon Shores in, but arrived in Avalar, starting his second adventure. Ever since then, during any thunderstorm anywhere, he'd cross his fingers and pray to Dragon God Bahamut that he'd get home or to wherever he's going without detours in other realms and worlds.

Apparently Bahamut wasn't listening, as when Spyro just began entering the portal that would send him back to the Artisan's Homeworld, a lightning bolt struck the portal's keystone gem. The loss of the gem and an influx of power from the electric bolt caused the portal to go critical, sucking Spyro into it, and scrambling the portal coordinates. Within a few precious seconds, the former saviour of the Dragon Realms, Avalar, and the Lost World had vanished from their dimension.

Shortly after the portal failed and sucked Spyro in, he was shot back out, landing in the shallow water of a smaller beach on unknown land. Upon lifting his head up after it was embedded into the wet sand, he saw a bunch of discarded bones, a skull among them looking straight at him. This scared him into standing and then falling backwards into the water. Sitting back up after that left him with a pink fish in his mouth. With so much stress from the storm, the portal malfunctioning, and now seeing a skull up close when tensions were already high enough, he bit down into the fish and ate it up.

His snack, though short lived, was tasty enough to allow his mind to relax again and take a better look at his situation. Looking around, he found that the land he had landed at had a titanic tree that would have made his trainer, Bubba, jealous despite him preferring anything involving brute force and nothing animal related...an odd trait for a Beast Maker, but not uncommon among dragons in general.

Spyro took some time to fish up a few more pink fish before walking up the steep hillside to explore more of the area, keeping close to the coast area to keep from getting lost. He found an open grove area where horned and horn-tailed herbivores were wandering about and simply minding their own business. He found them very docile and didn't flee from him as he walked past and even pet a few of them.

Reaching a small forested area, he ended up seeing what looked to be a few tiki torches out and burning. Spyro gave a sigh of relief, thinking he found the inhabitants of this world who could help him. Maybe at the cost of a few of his fish, but he could accept that. To his disappointment, he found that there was no one at the camp he found.

With no clear options, he decided to simply commandeer the camp for himself so that he could have a better chance at survival. A few renovations to allow for his bigger size would be needed as well.

"This is going to be a long 'vacation'."

Had an idea, and I decided to try it out.
