Author's Note: I found this while going through my docs for something else, and liked what I read. Why'd I write this? Not sure. Probably because Fuyumi's def a waifu, albeit a lesser known one imo. That said, hope you enjoy.

It happens when Izuku and Bakugo are invited to Shouto's house for dinner, a day after the first day of their internship at his father's agency.

It's the first time Izuku meets her, and he's not head over heels at first. He's just able to acknowledge that yes, she's an attractive woman. And then as though his mind isn't convinced, it drives his eyes over her features because he always has to know for certain why something is the way it is.

So when Fuyumi greets them at the door to her large home, he eyes her snowy white hair with red spots tied up in a ponytail, looks at her doe eyes, and notes that her hazel irises have a shine to them through her glasses not unlike diamonds.

That's as poetic as he gets before his gaze crosses down to ghost over the womanly curves hidden under her apron before he can stop himself. He blushes, he looks as though he finds the sky suddenly interesting, and it's almost funny how he's already bombing despite not having the chance to even introduce himself, but it's fine. He wants to keep his cool. Why? He isn't certain. He just definitely doesn't wanna make a fool out of himself in front of Shouto's beautiful sister.

Yep. Not clear at all.

Turns out he's just as red inside her home as he is out. Fuyumi going out of her way to ask him if she should turn the heat down doesn't make it any better. He blushes when she speaks, when she looks at him to ask about his progress, even when she's eyeing at something out of sight or simply smiling. He's sure whatever's happening to him is noticeable, he's always been overly self aware like that, but he still hopes it isn't.

Has he been speaking enough? Has he mumbled to himself and been too soft spoken throughout this affair? He wonders and is sure the answer is yes. He always clamps up when he gets like this because saying less gives him less chance to make a fool out of himself.

To his horror, the umpteenth glance he's stolen at Fuyumi leaves him caught red handed. Her eyes catch his and his heart leaps to his throat as immediately he looks to his plate feeling so exposed. To make matters worse, he hears her other brother snicker and briefly wishes One For All came with a warp quirk.

He doesn't dare look at her father seated on his left at the head of the table.

When he glances back again (just to check this time) she's back to chatting with her guests, smiling. It's cute. He hopes he gets the chance to see her smile more and silently puts asking to visit on his agenda.

For the rest of the evening though, that's the only look he allows himself. His responses to verbal stimuli are curt, and usually one worded despite his stuttering habit. He really hopes he doesn't come off as rude.

It's only when he hears an audible silence does he look up at the expectant gazes being sent his way and realize he was asked a question.

Izuku's mortified, "I-I'm so sorry! I...Was I asked something?"

Fuyumi chuckles and gives a forgiving look that sets his insides alight, "It's okay, I was just asking how you met Shouto."

He sobers up a little, "Oh, uhm.."

He can't just tell her he was given the innermost personal details about their home-life and then he forced her brother to use his right side in combat. He looks to Shouto for an assist which he thankfully picks up on. It just isn't what he has in mind.

"I asked him if he was All Might's illegitimate son," The heterochromic bluntly reveals.

"What?!" Kacchan doesn't take that very kindly for some reason, "You thought he could've been his kid? Deku?!"

Izuku's sure Kaachan understands why exactly Shouto initially came to that conclusion and is just being petty. Still, Shouto comes to his defense.

"Their quirks are very similar."

"So?!"

Fuyumi's giggling however, instantly steals his attention. His gaze snaps back to her fast, maybe a little too fast because one is never sure. She thankfully doesn't (seem to) notice.

"That's quite an introduction," she jokes.

Izuku in turn plays along, or tries to. There's an uneasy smile that spreads across his face and maybe he doesn't come off as weird. Even weirder than he probably has already, anyway.

"Yeah, definitely...it really freaked me out. Then y'know we, we fought--not like actually fought, we were just--it was for the tournament, heh. And now we're friends."

It's actually a wild simplification of how their friendship began but, it pleases Fuyumi, who tells him how glad she is Shouto has friends like them.

Soon after, her brother leaves (Natsuo, he thinks), and he can see her trying to hold it together in the face of such passive conflict.

He looks over at Endeavor to gauge his reaction. He's awfully solemn. Shouto's as blank faced as ever, and Kaachan's simply focused in the food before him. He's still noticeably silent to Izuku, though.

The dinner is much duller following. The food Fuyumi prepared is just as good as it was before, but she isn't as lively as she was previously, Izuku notices. He's able to piece together that everyone in her family being there together must've been important to her.

Between helping clean up, learning about a second brother of Shouto's, and even gaining more insight of how he feels about his father, Izuku's sure the only thing he'll remember is all but melting in Fuyumi's palm when she holds his hand in both of her's to thank him for befriending Shouto. His jacket suddenly feels significantly warmer but that's just him.

He's a mess, so in the face of her radiant smile he's only able to let out a meek, "It's my--my pleasure," that she doesn't hear correctly.

When she leans forward to get a better listen, he's wonderfully brought to life a second time.

Izuku gulps, "I said it's...my pleasure,"

And then she lets go, and he misses the warmth of her palms even though he feels like he's about to explode on the inside. He's taking a step forward without looking behind because he isn't sure how to function, so he nearly trips on a rock in front of her. He catches himself of course, and hesitantly waves before her amused giggles.

Finally he walks to Endeavor's car and realizes they were waiting for him. He speeds up, hoping it wasn't for too long.

In the car he wonders if they noticed anything with him tonight. To which the pessimist in him replies they definitely did and just aren't saying anything.

But then Endeavor flies out the car in his suit and everything's pushed to the far depths of his mind for later.

Author's Note: What ship name is this? Does it even count since it's one-sided? Idk. Who cares. This is my first update in about two years so I'm not even gonna try and imply I'll be updating anything else anytime soon, much less this.
