Girls of the Evil Inferno
A Powerpuff Girls Fanfic by: Richard G. Eubanks (Part of the What Felt Like Forever After Series)
Chapter 1: Daughters of HIM
*Flashback to HIM's death*
"This can't be happening to me... This. Cannot. Be. Happening. My life is eternal! Remember this though Powerpuff Girls! It was the energy given off by negative emotions that sustained my ability to live! As long as there is negativity left in this world; I shall always... always... ALWAYS RETURN!" HIM then exploded into millions of tiny light particles. (We now see the after credits sequence in "Family Matters.") A heart with a completely jagged left side engulfed in dark red flames materialized high above the girls view; it was HIM's heart of darkness. The girls couldn't see it, for they were too worried about their fallen sister. The heart then teleported to the inferno that was once HIM's lair, and shot three projectiles into the lava below. The lava then started shifting from indigo, then yellow, then grey (repeat 10x until lava turns scarlet again); then the lava returned to its original shade of scarlet. Three figures shot out of the lava and gained a form that matches that of the girls. They wore outfits similar to the girls; only they were more like black crop tops with a certain color dress (shirt in the grey one's case) under them. Their mary janes were also inverted, and they wore black pants. The indigo girl wore a matching color ribbon on the back of her head, and two indigo rings with lavender circling the center of each ring. Her dark orange hair was hanging down the back of her head, with other pieces hanging down the front; there was a strand that matched her main color. The girl in grey had black hair similar to that of Buttercup; the major difference being her hair overshadowed her face, and she had springy-shaped long pigtails. She was the only one that didn't have a dress, there was a visible segmented hairband on her head that matched her main color; strangely enough, she wore boxing gloves (I bet they're important to her character). The last one, who had a shy/scared look on her face with white hair covering (most of) her face, just enough so that you could see her eyes. Yellow was her color, and she wore a yellow skirt with a white jagged line circling around the bottom. On the back of her head was an enormous ponytail. On the top of her head towards her right side, there was a small yellow hairbow. They each had names; but what were they? They too were about to find out.
The heart started speaking; "Greetings. Infernal Girls. I'm sure you're wondering who and what you are, and why you're here." It was a sinister whispery voice; loud enough to be heard by them.
The indigo girl spoke up; "Who's speaking; where are you?" She asked.
"All will be answered in due time my darling daughters. But for now, I believe it's time I reveal myself..." The heart of darkness then flew down to their eye level. The yellow girl hid her face. A head was forming around the heart; it was completely white with visible green eyes. It looked like... HIM!? "It's upsetting that I'm not here to physically give you greetings; our enemies managed to destroy me, because my minion betrayed me! He now takes care of the fourth Powerpuff Girl, and speaking of, I had created you for the purpose of bringing their destruction once again." HIM's soul explained.
"We're not helping you 'til you answer our questions. You got that?" The grey one spoke.
"Yeah... who are we..?" The yellow one asked; trembling.
"Oh all of that will be answered immediately. Your group name is the Infernal Girls; but your separate names are-" He pointed to each one depending on the name he said. "You're the leader, Brash; you're the team's personified strength, Breis; and you-" He started.
"What?" The yellow girl asked scared.
"You're the... hm... what are you? Ah! You're the supporting team member, Bellis!" HIM finally came up with that answer.
"So? What shall you ask of us?" Brash asked; ready to follow orders.
"Oh I just want you to take a nice little stroll around Townsville; and avoid interacting with anyone. But if anyone gives you a question, answer in a way that doesn't make you sound evil." HIM informed his daughters.
"Right. Well Bellis?" Brash asked.
"Okay... I'll try my best." Bellis responded.
"Breis?" Brash then pointed over to her.
"Uh... of course yeah! What you think I'm gonna punch the first thing I see? I won't; trust me." Breis ranted. "I have a little more self-control than that."
"Right... well let's go then." They were about to fly off until Brash had the bright idea to ask where Townsville was. HIM then replied with 'You're already there.' Brash then asked: "Townsville is a volcano?"
HIM realized his mistake and corrected it. "No sorry wait. I meant the area we're in is part of Townsville." Brash then understood what he meant by that.
"Right. Thanks again father." She responded. Then she and her sisters flew out to the city; with the soul of HIM disappearing; leaving the heart of darkness in its place.
*Cut to Townsville Park*
"I'm honestly liking this place." Breis told her sisters. "This place is so calm, problem free, and you can bring food here and not get in trouble." She added.
"I've never seen a place that was so beautiful." Brash said. "Why does our father want to destroy this city?" She then asked.
"I can see why. He's the kind of person who probably doesn't like it when he sees people having the time of their life. I honestly see why his minion betrayed him in the first place." Bellis added her input.
"I don't even feel like causing harm to be honest. But we have to do it for our father." Brash informed her sisters. "We were created by evil, with evil, in the boiling lava of a hellish dimension; I'm sure that whole story speaks for itself." She added.
"Do you think we should head back now? He's probably got more orders for us now." Bellis asked.
"Yeah. Let's." The Infernal Girls then flew off to the place they had came from before; and met up with their father once again. "Dad? You still here?" Brash asked.
"Of course I'm still here. This is the only place that will sustain me until I'm whole again." HIM informed his daughters.
"So. We're done looking around for now. Is there anything you want us to do now?" Breis asked.
"You're asking all the right questions children. I'm going to show you who you're up against." A cloud formed in front of the Infernal Girls. In that cloud was a projection of the Powerpuff Girls (Blossom, Bubbles, Buttercup, and Bunny). "These are the four heroes who managed to end me. But even in death; I still live. If you manage to defeat them, I can return to destroy this wretched world." HIM informed them.
They were nervous about responding. But mustered a: 'Of course father.' They flew off to search for them. "Do you guys just want to destroy a few things? Maybe fire off a few-" She never got to finish her sentence because she accidentally collided into Bubbles. "Hey! Watch where..." She noticed the face and immediately froze up.
"Who are you three?" Bubbles asked innocently.
Breis responded with: "Um... that's not important. We'll be on our way now; bye!" She grabbed her frozen sister and she and Bellis flew off.
"What was all that about? Who are they? And why do they give off bad vibes?" She asked herself.
"Bubbles! Where are you!?" Blossom's voice called out.
"Oh sorry! Coming!" Bubbles then flew back with her sisters.
*Cut back to the Infernal Girls*
"That was... unfortunate." Bellis said.
"Yeah. Completely unexpected. I'm more prepared when we get the jump on someone first; not the other way around..." Breis responded.
"I feel like a moron. We're supposed to be superheroes not super cowards." Brash told her sisters.
"Technically... we're villains; not heroes." Breis explained.
"Labels, labels, labels... don't you get tired of being labelled as something based on what you do, or who you're parents are?" Brash asked Breis.
"Well... yes, but... you see. We kinda have a role to be fulfilling; and who are we to argue with that anyways?" Breis responded.
"... *light growl*… Fine; let's do it. When we're ready." Brash said with a scowl. "Let's head back for now." The others obliged and flew in the direction of their home.
They crashed through the roof; and were greeted by a smiling(?) HIM's soul. "Back so soon? What exactly happened out there?" HIM asked.
"They caught us off-guard. But we found them; we had to force a retreat." Bellis explained.
"Upsetting. But I understand; but the next time you see them, annihilate them!" HIM's tone of voice turned threatening; which scared his daughters.
Shivering, Brash spoke up. "Yes... father."
"Perfect. Well now you may sleep if you wish to. It's getting late." Using a fraction of his remaining energy, HIM created a house that he once lived in. "Your home is outside. Go on, I can't leave this place anyways." He explained.
"Of course." The Infernal Girls then flew out to the home HIM stayed in when he was alive on the physical plane of existence. "I understand he wants us to obey orders; but I don't think we have the... evilness in us to even raise a fist to a hero." Brash explained.
Breis was busy punching at a punching bag; and Bellis was practicing new ranged powers. "Honestly. I'm with you; but you're gonna have to deal with it indy." Indy (short for Indigo) was Breis' nickname for Brash.
"...Alright fine... I'll 'deal with it' like you said." Brash then proceed to beat the stuffing out of the punching bag, while firing a homing shot. "We'll fight them; a month from now. Got it? Good." She then left the room to sleep.
"Do you think she'll be willing?" Bellis asked.
"No. But I can't blame her..." Breis answered. "Hey do you mind taking these gloves off my arms?" She then asked.
*Cut to the Utonium residence; in the girls' room*
The girls were just sleeping, but Bubbles was still confused about Brash earlier today wasn't. "She must have been a Powerpuff Girl. Or Powerpuff Girl-esque; but how come they just ran off? If I see them again; the first thing I'm doing is ask them who they are, and what their intentions are." She told herself as she closed her eyes.
